Blast from the past: Purchase a ticket for the soba dish you want at the vending machine and hand the ticket over the counter - in a flash, your order is ready. Simple, honest and traditional Japanese Soba. Good eats at great prices! Speedy service caters to those waiting for a train or bus, but you don’t need to be traveling anywhere to enjoy this as it’s just outside the station.

I've eaten at Kiku Zushi several times in the past year. It has become one of my favorite restaurants in Misawa. The food is reliably delicious, fresh-tasting, and attractively presented. Service is very good. Without exception the waitresses are friendly, helpful, and patient with non-Japanese speakers. Decor is typical Japanese. One can dine at the sushi counter if solo or in individual rooms with sunken tables if with a group. Prices are very reasonable. The dinner sets contain large amounts of food. Folks with smaller appetites might consider ordering a la carte. The restaurant is a direct three-minute walk from the main entrance to Misawa Air Base. I recommend Kiku Zushi to anyone hungering for fresh sushi and tempura served in an authentic Japanese restaurant.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. They consistently provide an excellent meal. I've had the pleasure of dining there for my last 2 birthdays and it's always a great experience. The staff is friendly, the presentation is wonderful, and ambiance can't be beat. Worth trying at least once but my guess is you'll want to go back even more! I've also been for lunch, which provides a great meal for an even better price.

Being in Italy for 2 1/2 years and then moving to Japan was a real challenge as far as the culture and food go. I am very thankful to have this place close to the gate for convience whenever I get a craving for Italian. Not dead on but pretty close in taste. They did a great job trying to replicate the Italian masterpiece. The crust was light and fluffy, the sauce tasted homemade, not from a jar, the cheese was amazing although I think it was lacking just a little and the fresh basil was a nice added ingredient to the classic all Italian pizza has. The pizza was a little pricey for the size. Over all we will definitely be going back.

It has lunch special from 1130-1430... special set of Chinese food selection with lesser price. However, my wife and I ordered the special set which is 1,300 yen per person. It's a seven course meal consisting of shredded beef with green pepper, chicken with cashew, friend chicken, sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice, spring rolls and corn/egg soup. The portion was more than enough for two people... we even took home a good portion for later meal. The service is fast and staff is friendly. Highly recommended for others to experience.

Their black ramen is one of my favorite soups of all time. I wish I could recreate that flavor and how it warms you up on a freezing Misawa day. Relatively small location but kids are definitely welcome. Very popular with the local Americans but you also see Japanese locals too (which is an excellent sign of authenticity). If you find yourself in Misawa, definitely add this to your list of "Must Stops."

I have travelled to Sapporo before and ate ramen there. I guarantee that you are going to leave the place feeling full and it's going to haunt you to come back specially when it get's cold here in Misawa! Awesome taste and much better than Thunder Ramen.

While visiting Misawa, my host family took us to this restaurant so we could enjoy a delicious Japanese meal along with a dinner show highlighting music and dances of the Aomori Nebuta Festival. It was a wonderful evening and I highly recommend for tourists visiting the area. The sashimi is very fresh and you cook individual kabobs at your table.Towards the end of your meal, the show begins and the wait staff become participants in the live show. We finished a wonderful evening by enjoying a hot springs bath at this hotel.
