We ordered from here as we we’re staying at eye Kettleby lakes and had it delivered to our pitch, popadoms & pickle tray, 2 starters, 1 pilau rice, 1 chicken masala garlic nan & chappati was £36 definitely not cheap the Delivery driver rang as they didn’t know the gate code but got lost and was another 10 mins after directing them so the food was lukewarm the masala was creamy but overall no wow factor and I was a bit baffled with the ‘special starter’ there was no lamb at all 2 bits chicken 2 prawns and chopped what tasted like chicken & liver in a sauce £11.90 but overall not worth the money I have had better elsewhere !

Myself and my wife popped in and they managed to find us a table even though they were incredibly busy. The starters of king prawns and Brie with Palmer ham were incredible. We followed with the rack of lamb special and the fillet steak with blue cheese which were both a very high standard. My wife finished with the chocolate fudge cake!! Not a morsel was left so I can only assume it was good. A
Must visit restaurant which we will definitely visit again if we’re in the area.

Our meals were excellent. I had the special which was seafood with spaghetti which was very reasonably prices but also one of the best meals I've had in a while. We also had drinks and a desert. The service was professional and friendly. I would highly recommend (only downside, menu very difficult to read with a terrible font) apart from that, enjoy.

The pub was originally a priests house and given to Thomas Cromwell by Henry V111. Cromwell made a fateful suggestion that on the death of Jane Seymour the king should marry a princes from Flanders. on viewing his new wife Henry took and instant dislike to her and was only married for 6 months. Anne agreed to a divorce and was given amongst other properties the ex church house and given the title Lady Anne which is how the property became to be known as Anne of Cleves House. Anyway I digress we stopped in Melton Mowbray and parked in the Car Park in front of the church. We started to walk to the town centre when we came across the Anne of Cleves, as it was nearly lunch time we decided to call in. With a log fire, olde worldy furniture and surroundings you could almost imagine being part of what has gone before. We received a warm welcome from Joe who took our food order. I settled for a good old Ham, Egg and Chips which was delicious, Large slices of melt in the mouth ham, loads of Chips and Egg. We spent a very enjoyable hour before continuing into the centre.

Ordered pork pie taster platter and blt with drinks for 2 , menu states blt served on rolls or baguettes but they don't sell rolls so opted for baguette .... not the best option ! Very chewy rubbery stale texture , had food hygiene rating of 5 but as a regular business traveller and in the food industry I seriously questioned this rating as accurate , ordered a pork pie taster platter but when asking staff if the pork pies were the ones on sale and which were which they couldn't quite tell us . Very polite staff but needs a spruce up and in the hygiene and menu knowledge department but o e thing I will say it that it serves the nicest coffee and cream I have ever tasted in a small coffee shop

We had visited this restaurant on three previous occasions and on each occasion had an exemplary meal. My husband wanted to celebrate his birthday there with the family so we booked a table for the seven of us. We wanted a reasonably quick meal as we had a running event booked for the following and therefore didn't want to dine too late.
We got there at 7.30pm ordered drinks, starters and a main course. We waited ages for the starters to arrive and when they did they were dissapointingly tiny and after such a long wait we were starving. The red wine we ordered was freezing cold and we pointed this out to the proprietor who barely acknowledged our remark and subsequently when we ordered a further bottle it was just as cold. Surely everybody knows that red wine is served at room temperature.!
We were becoming increasingly disappointed with the way our evening out was unfolding and I felt somewhat embarrassed at the poor level of customer service we were receiving. We were left to clear our own plates from the table. Our main courses took ages to arrive. In the end after an extremely long time I asked if the food was on its way, again no apology from the proprietor or concern shown to our requests. She was so dismissive of us it was shocking.
Finally when the main courses arrived one of the steaks was so over cooked it was sent back. The garlic bread was uncooked and the macdonald style chips were of very poor quality. Again, we were left to clear our plates away and twice we requested the birthday cake that we'd taken to the restaurant to be brought to the table. When she did bring it there were no plates given to us forge cake. Upon us complaining we did get the price of a bottle of red wine deducted from the bill and some free vouchers to use in the restaurant on future visits. As if we'd go back. I found the whole experience embarrassing and stressful and we wished we'd eaten at home as the food did not represent good value for money in any way. We'll not go back.

Independent coffee shop selling great coffee, loose leaf tea, made to order sandwiches, milkshakes and porkpie. We are different from the rest because we use great coffee and ingredients, and create a welcoming environment with no pressure to buy food. You can have a coffee and spend all morning with it. We have loads of space, ground floor toilets, baby chaning facilities, large courtyard garden, breastfeeding friendly and free wi-fi.
Great coffee, delicious cakes, friendly and welcoming staff, what more is there to say? We visit regularly and the coffee is always fabulous, the children love the milkshakes and hot chocolate and we always sample some of the homemade cakes and scones, which are very often just out of the oven
