OK, the view is great and it is lovely to watch the sun go down from the Terrace with a glass of chilled white wine to hand.
However the food is distinctly average and the service not amazing so I wouldn't bother going back.

The ever popular Ons Huisie is part of the Seascape Collection and boasts spectacular views, delicious, traditional West Coast cuisine, dog friendly facilities and picture perfect views of the Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island. It is recognised as one of the tourist destinations in the Cape Peninsula. Visitors come from across the world and experience our exquisite West Coast cuisine. They always come back for our fish and chips, calamari and mussel pots which are signature dishes.

Located along the unspoiled shores of the West Coast, Eden on the Bay is inspired by the natural rhythms of the Atlantic Ocean. With views of the two most acclaimed brand icons - Table Mountain and Robben Island, moyo will look over them as a loving African ancestor.20 minutes from the centre of cosmopolitan Cape Town.
I had a steak here, and it was the best one I had in my 5 weeks in South Africa. It was seasoned and cooked perfect. It didn't come with a knife for a good reason. The service was good. The atmosphere was awesome. They...MoreThank-you for highlighting the great meal you enjoyed at moyo! We hope to see you again soon! Warm regards, The moyo family

We are a family run seafood restaurant situated in a beach cottage with arguably the best views Melkbosstrand, Cape Town

Open for lunch only 21st March 2018

Our Easter Hours:

- Closed 30th March
- Lunch only 1st & 2nd April
- Closed 3rd April
Cape Town is blessed with so many picturesque spots where you can enjoy good food in beautiful natural surroundings. Cafe Orca has cleverly used their seafront position to cater for all weather and you can enjoy the ocean views from both inside the restaurant or outside on the Terrace. It also has a cosy cottagey feeling, when you wander through the rooms. As a party of 6, we had a great table, set to the side of the restaurant, where everyone had a view. We shared several starters, had various main courses and delighted in creative and decadent desserts. All the food was excellent, fresh, well presented and delicious.
What made our lunch even more special was the exceptional service that took the whole experience to another level. I have been in hospitality all my life and have travelled the world but rarely do you find someone that makes such a lasting impression on you. Our waiter, Henrico, was personable, knowledgeable, charismatic and engaging. He was also an excellent tutor, training Connor, who was new to the restaurant and encouraging him all the time, ensuring he did a great job. Henrico, we all wish you every success in your life, we know you will go far and succeed in anything you chose to do!
This was a gathering of old friends, new friends and reunions and it was a perfect, relaxed setting.

We gave Damhuis a try for lunch, after Reading all the rave reviews on this site. Mistake. A nice rustic seaside setting, and friendly service, was a good start. But the battered hake was dry and overcooked, with too much batter, the calamari tubes were...MoreHi Butch, Thank you so much for the feedback. i would appreciate it if you can send me an e-mail with regards to your review in order for me to investigate, follow up and rectify the matter. On the Beach...With outside Seating and spectacular views, dog friendly (On a leash please), South African restaurant with a Portuguese flavour
The view is fantastic, the staff are friendly, the fish and chips is excellent, BUT the Seating arrangement makes no sense. The front, outside seats have been allocated as smoking area, we were told when inquiring about the people right next to us who were constantly smoking; this makes no sense to allocate all the tables with the best sea views to smokers or people who don't mind smelling the smoke of others while they eat. It would make far better sense to allocate half of the outside area, the section that is normally downwind, to smoking area and allowing people who object to inhaling the smoke of others, to also have a choice of sea-viewing seats.

Welcome to our home. At the Indian Chapter in Blouberg, our culinary offering will take your taste buds on a sensational journey to the land of Kings. Our chefs sing while they cook & you will feel the love in both our curries & tandoor delicacies. Our decor is authentic, the ambience fantastic & our bathrooms are beautiful. Belly dancing every Friday. Booking essential. Hope to see you soon.
This gem in Table View is one of the best places for authentic Indian food. Prices are reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants. We had the Madras Curry, Rogan Josh, and Vindaloo and all were delicious. This is definitely one of the places that we will visit time and time again. A belly dancer was a nice addition. Staff were attentive and food was delivered in a short time.

We are regular visitors at Blue Peter. There is not much that can beat sitting on the deck or the grass at Blue Peter, sipping a glass of wine, and waiting for the sun to disappear over the horizon. The table Seating is limited and so when it is busy you need to watch the tables like a hawk and be ready to jump as soon as someone looks as if they are leaving. Otherwise it is pleasant to sit on the grass or the steps, especially if you have kids or dogs. The pizzas are really good, but be prepared to wait. There are waiters taking orders, but sometimes it is quicker to go to the bar and order it yourself.

Our party of five arrived just before 7 on Thursday night. Service was slow and we waited over an hour for starters. Burger was incredibly salty and the waitress not interested in following up on drinks etc. Our last visit was much better. Won't be coming back here in a hurry!

Get all your shopping done in newly expanded Bayside Mall and then join us with the family for a famous Spur meal whilst the kids enjoy our great play area boasting a double storey modular, jumping castle, play stations and more. Our menu features beef burgers, steaks and ribs, as well as delicious salads, chicken, seafood and vegetarian options. We have wide variety on our kids menu, including create your own waffle, Chico the clown ice cream, burgers and many more.
My wife and I were travelling in an area quite unfamiliar to us and found ourselves at the Bayside Shopping Centre in which there was a Spur. From the beginning the service was most attentive. My wife was drawn to the Seniors Menu for ribs and I was directed to the special, that I would never have known about left to my own devices. The ribs, as always, were outstanding. We looked after carefully and so we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Another tick for Spur, a brand we have come to trust.
