We have visited Don Alfonso and stayed in the Beautifull suite for two nights. From the beginning until the end of our stay-nothing else but perfect. We met the whole family who is taking care for a beautifull house and excellent restaurant. We had an unforgetable dinner, tried the degustation menu and traditional menu and enjoyed every bit of it. They showed us their unique wine cellar with more than 28 000 bottles. Compliments to family and staff. Don Alfonso is certainly the place to visit before you die.

Like many people, we booked lunch at the Relais Blu after seeing it on The Trip with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. They made it look and sound heavenly on TV and it didn't disappoint in real life.
It wasn't hugely busy at lunchtime probably due to the fact that it was over 30 degrees and part of us did wish we had booked for dinner but we couldn't have enjoyed it any more than we did. From the glorious welcome from impeccable staff, to the breathtaking views over to Capri and the tasty appetisers we enjoyed in the sun. Everything was perfect.
We chose the seafood based tasting menu which was amazing. The dessert alone was probably one of the best I've ever had. If you're staying in the Sorrento/Amalfi area I can't recommend this place enough. The hotel looked pretty wonderful too. Just spectacular views from every angle.
Photos won't do it justice... but I'll try!

Lo stuzzichino restaurant, run by the De Gregorio family, carries on the tradition of the Italian inn with great passion. Our warm hospitality, typical of this land, permeates the whole place. For a long time now, Lo Stuzzichino has been considered one of the top restaurants in the Land of Sirens with way of cooking that enhances the products and dishes of this wonderful land. Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi is a small village nestled in the Lattari hills, where residents proudly preserve local identity. The quality of Sorrentine art of cooking is here improved through a careful selection of products from local farmers and breeders. Our aim is to make guests feel at home as they experience an unforgettable encounter with our cousine and our traditions.
Our first night in Sorrento was a dream with dinner at Lo Stuzzichino.
We were guests at La Maison Minervetta (see separate review) and upon checkin we inquired about dinner options. They recommended several with a wide range of variety. It was already dark and not knowing the town at all, we took the easy option with a restaurant that sends a car to pick you up and also drives you back, for free!
It was an adventure and a true treat. The owner himself retrieved us. He was so happy to meet us, it was as if he knew us. A wonderful drive up the mountain and safe arrival at the lovely simple restaurant. The entire operation is family run, at the end of our meal, his wife drove us home. There were not a lot of diners, a mix of tourists like us and locals, but is is off season at this time of year, so not surprising.
The menu is filled with variety, but there were also many options for local fresh specials of the day. First we had clams with lemon/ricotta ravioli in an oil and garlic sauce. I cannot express how fresh the clams were, the ravioli were like little clouds, the sauce so delicate it was barely there. Grilled fish of the day, indescribably fresh perfection. Grilled artichokes so tender they melted in our mouths. We saved room for the legendary lemon cake -wow! Airy and just barely sweet with the citrus zest to finish off the meal. The wine list was huge with options from many countries, we chose a simple and refreshing Vermentino that was well priced. The complimentary Limoncellos with dessert sealed the deal, we will return again at least once before leaving Sorrento.

Following a day spent on a private boat, For my wife and me. Out on the Amalfi Coast and included great stops incl Ile de syrenuse, Positano, Amalfi and other short stops (Swim breaks). We came back to the bay and was advised by our own Capitano to have a late lunch at Taverna del Capitano. We had snacks and drinks on board but earlier squeezed in one of the best slices of pizza (footsteps of Amalfi's Cathedral). We walked in and we're shown into the dining room - wow 'what a crisp feeling space and had amazing views out onto the Amalfi Coast. We ordered some water, wine and tasted probably 'one of the finest meals ever 2-courses of joy. I went for the vermicelli and Chocolate Hazelnut Torte. It was not cheap but we made it a day to remember. however I have been to London and spent far more.
As i have nearly always found is "Where there are locals....".
There are also rooms here and after our experience, we sat back on the beach until our transport arrived for the short trip back.
Highly recommended, especially for Couples who fancy a romantic place to talk, Eat & Drink and look out and captivate that view..

We're open from 1st April to 31st October. We accept only reservation by phone, thank you!
Nice dining option in a large marina restaurant with seafood fish and pastas. We had the prosciutto starter with mozzarella, the sea urchin pasta, shrimp marinara pasta, tuna pasta and Vesuvio vegetable pasta - all were good, no complaints, while they weren’t life changing experiences, nevertheless! With coffees it came out to about 35€ per person. On the expensive side for pasta, but it is Sorrento and a seafood spot. Good and cordial service, nice marina views.

What a great experience this little ristorante. Yes, you have to make a reservation!! The people speak a little english but that's not a problem. There is no menu, everything they have that day are told/explained to you. We had delicious antipasti, fresh pasta and good fish. The wine is from the neighbourhood. And the dolci is fab. The bill was only Eur 65,- for 3 adults, 3 courses, wine, water, coperti.
Most of the visitors are locals. Try it, you will not regret!

Gocce di Capri Restaurant is situated in one of the most picturesque place of Massa Lubrense: a splendid position overlooking Capri and the whole bay of Naples and Ischia, between Sorrento and Positano. The cousine is simple and refined, thanks to the talent and expertise of the chef that prepares traditional Mediterranean dishes using fresh fish, top quality meat and locally grown vegetables.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner of scallopini with lemon and gnocchi with tomatoes and basil, followed by lemon mousse cake, while watching an incredible sunset over the bay of Naples and the Isle of Capri. Absolutely unforgettable.
