This is a restaurant with a great view. The ambiance of the restaurant was not great and neither was the service. The waitress seemed confused with our order.
I ordered salmon with shrimps and also a salad. My friend ordered meat. We both also received a big dish of cooked spinach. I was pretty excited because I love spinach. This spinach was way too salty, and even the salmon dish was rather salty. The salad looked like leftover salad. I did not find anything we offered of any taste other than salt. House-wine was also of poor quality.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

lokales Restaurant in Manteigas Portugal, traditionelle portugiesische Küche
Weil alle anderen Restaurants im Ort zu waren, hat es uns hierher verschlagen;
Preislich ists natürlich spitze, so günstig isst man eher selten.

The food was great and service was very efficient, friendly and warm. The waiters and owner were very friendly, the place was pitoresque and cosy and it's not very expensive. Sure hope to come back.

Simpatic Restaurant with very nice employees, Very famous for the amazing pizzas, lasagne, but also for the amain portuguese dishes they do. The kitchen is an open kitchen where you can see everything when gets prepared. Try the Bacalhau com Broa and the Pernil Alfatima ( pork leg ) not to miss !!
While doing a sight seeing stopover here, we discovered a very rustic, cozy and romantic spot. Luzo Pizzeria was everything to make our dinner experience a discovery experience. The young lady who invited us in and made us welcome with her warmth and grace was...MoreA Gerência agradece

Awesome that in this remote area it was possible to have dishes adapted with such quality for vegans. Excellent suggestions by the chef . All three dishes chosen were delicious (although personally they could have done with less olive oil). Excellent space for large groups with smooth background music.

We were on a hiking vacation inSerra de Estrela and were based in Manteigas, so we tried to experience several restaurant of this little village. This restaurant served tasty food for a moderate price (not the cheapest, tough).the waiters don't speak a single word of english and the menu is only in Portoguese, so it's really difficult to know exactly all the dishes and which one could be the best.Overall very satisfied!

Have stayed 2 nights at the hotel related to a 7 days bike trip in Portugal and can only recommend the hotel!
Special in terms of absorbing local culture & design (Burel), providing local cuisine and great service by the staff (both reception, food & beverage, spa staff).
Felt at home and really like the natural materials used in the guest rooms, relax area, common rooms, dinner/breakfast rooms.
Definitely a hotel I'd return to! The staff is well trained, the cuisine is providing top-notch menus (both dinner, lunch & breakfast), great wine menu & all that in a very relaxed atmosphere! Don't forget to book a visit to the Burel factory downtown Manteigas - it's worth exploring the "old/new ways" of producing high quality wool products.
Highly recommended!

We were hungry. The food was edible. This was not an enjoyable meal. the meat overcooked, dry, overpriced for the quality. If this is your only choice, eat snacks in your hotel room instead.

End of season, not very busy but came recommended We were not disappointed. Nothing spectacular but hearty familial cuisine, typically Portugese. The waitress, recently graduated from Coimbra, is quite fluent in English and French. Their house wine extremely nice(tinto)

Simply UN-ACCEPTABLE.
Were here with kids and family. Fish dishes came cold so I sent back. Pizza "we don't have margarita but we do have 4 cheeses" already should have raised the alarm and yes it was simply supermarket pizza reheated. Add to it all the cigarette butts on the patio and you get the picture.
