Average food, old ambiance and courteous service is how I describe my visit to the place. But yes tandoori food and drink were good....

When in Mandi we had a chance to have food in this former Palace converted as a restaurant. We had food in the dining hall which had photographs of the Royalty, weapons used earlier and even musical instruments. Service of food was good. Outside it had a good open place for dining. Overall good food and good place to be at.

Spent 6 days in Rewalsar and ate here for breakfast every day, some lunches and dinners. Recommend the food, takes a while but is fresh. Had porridge, pancake and omlette for breakfast. Cashew nut Chow Mein for lunch, Vegetable Pakora and curries. Nutella Crepe and Chocolate Balls are good for sweets. VJ is the owner and his family works in the restaurant. Very friendly service. Yes plunger coffee too.

This seems to be one of the best restaurants in Rewalsar. The food is pretty good and safe, but there isn’t an extensive menu. I like their mint tea. Parathas were good. Ambience is a bit dark, but there are a couple of tables out on the balcony overlooking the lake. Free wifi.

This place is just near the entrance of the lake.. They have two options for the Seating.. One in the balcony with excellent lake view and another inside with indo-french architecture.. We visited around 10 am couldn't find any breakfast items there except few varieties of pancakes in different fruit flavors.. Try Apple and nut variants.. We had cappuccino with cake.. Worth spending 30-45 miss here

This is one of the good hotel on the national highway. The food is good and clean. The vegetables seem to be fresh from the farm.

Coincidentally, our vehicle tire got a puncture right in front of this dhaba. We took one of the tables outside & the first question the server asked us was - "beer?" A couple of us had beer & for food, we had missi roti, rajma, aloo jeera & kadahi paneer.
the food was decent. It was a little dusty outside with vehicles constantly passing by but we were OK with it.

Veg ans Non-Veg. The Exotic flavours of Chawla's cuisine have been tantalizing Indian palate for several generations. Chawla Chicken is one of the big food chains in India specializing in Indiana cuisine. The popularity of Chawla Chicken has spread all over India and other countries.
This place is on the outskirts of Mandi en route Manali right on the main highway, a part of Chawla 2, a chain of restaurants scattered all over northern India. The food is all right but being part of a chain, it offers standardised food only. I suspect there is a fixed recipe and as such, it lacks personality, nor is the chef able to own up the menu. I have dined here a few times. It is good for lunch but if one is with family, dinner is best avoided as it has a shady atmosphere at that time.
