In fairness we inadvertently came here on the Swiss equivalent of a bank holiday (even though it was a Thursday!) during the last week in May. Heidiland was still fine and peaceful enough to really enjoy it but this place was rammed - car park full plus lots of coaches. The staff did a fantastic job of coping and had an extremely efficient system but it was not a relaxing experience. The Heidi Rosti (about 20CH I think) was ok but the vegetables were a bit tasteless and overcooked - not the quality I'd got used to after nearly a week of eating out in this amazing country! Heidiland is such a lovely place I think if I came again I'd opt for a picnic, go higher up the mountain to the 'Heidi adventure trail' (completely ran out of time this visit) and stop by this place later in the afternoon for a coffee and ice cream once the lunchtime rush was over.
Positives - nice outside Seating and children's play area.

The daily lunch menu is absolutely fantastic. Also weekly menu is excellent. Best cheap eats I've been to. Very friendly service.

What an exceptional experience! Everything was magnificent, from the food, to the service. The Rehrrücken is prepared perfectly and the flavors are balanced. This was my third time eating at the Schloss Brandis but I'll definitely be back for sure.

We ate here on the 30th August 2013. The meal was fabulous. We chose the menu for 89 francs it was superb. Really well balanced and delicious! The staff were helpful, informative and generous. We drank local wines and had a wonderful evening. Highly recommend this pace if you want to feel like you are in someone's home, it is intimate and friendly. Simple yet sophisticated Excellent!

Get in there fast before everyone finds out about this new restaurant. The food is delicious and the presentation is first class. To my fellow Brits, I would describe it as a Gastropub - a combination of top class food at reasonable prices in a friendly setting. Sit outside and watch the world stroll by with a cool glass of what you fancy. I had to go several times to work my way through the menu. A gem.

Visited this nice and fairly upscale restaurant with my wife and two young kids during our summer vacation to "Heidiland".
We enjoyed a very nice tasting menu Swiss flavor with accompanying local wines (excellent). The kids were served "custom ordered" mains and also provided some toys and books to read so mom and dad could really enjoy their meal. Very friendly atmosphere provided by the two owners who are very much engaged in both the kitchen and service.
Bernadette and Martin, we will gladly come back!

We came for a quick stopover and found this restaurant directly at the motorway.
All service personnel was very friendly and helpful.
Food and drinks were standard Marche, so nothing to complain there.
Too many smokers outside so we had to run through clouds of smokes during entering and leaving the restaurant - very annoying.

Were there recently for dinner and the atmosphere was stunning. Sitting among vines with nice views of Chur and surroundings. The food overall was rather average, soup lukewarm, salad very small, spätzle ok but nothing special therefor pricey. The best part was the risotto excellent the best I ever tried. The service was slow with long waiting times but with friendly staff. In any case the place is stunning and worth a visit.

This is a family-friendly restaurant serving Italian food with an emphasis on pizza. On two subsequent visits on a Saturday night and Sunday lunch (the only restaurant open) the place was packed with large families.
On Saturday night we waited to place our order. Our waiter (was it Severino?)was the only male amongst the female staff and he took his sweet time coming to our table.
We waited for our meals which were not delivered by our waiter. We had been handed off to one of the female staff. The food was tasty.
We asked for the check and watched our waiter busy himself for twenty minutes clearing other tables and resetting them. No regard for the customers, just intent on recovering the tables. Finally, we realized he wasn't going to help us, so we asked a complete stranger (Christina) to bring us the bill.
We repeated our mistake the following day (no other restaurants open) and went back for lunch. This time we were served by Fatima who promptly took our order. She delivered my Wiener Schnitzel but forgot my wife's pizza. Every ten minutes Fatima would stop by our table to blurt out "Pizza is coming!" Meanwhile, she continied to deliver pizza after pizza to the families surrounding us. Twenty minutes later, we demanded to know what was happening. She responded that "Pizza takes a long time!" Certainly, pizza does not take 45 minutes to cook? She offered my wife a free coffee while she waited. We declined and paid the bill and left and went across the street to the gas station and bought a Sandwich. It was pathetic.
The restaurant has several things going for it, but the staff is poorly trained and inattentive.
Very, very unsatisfied. Avoid unless you enjoy waiting... and waiting.

Lowen is a lovely, relaxed restaurant in the heart of Bad Ragaz. Vegetarian dishes are available and the menu is eclectic.The broccoli with chili, is superb, the chef told us he discovered the recipe during travels in Amsterdam. Great choice for dining if you're in Bad Ragaz.
