This cheerful, warm and welcoming tavern offered the perfect midday menu items for a delightful Breton lunch on a cruise call. The tone is set right away by the presence of KIR BRETON on the aperitif list, cassis and dry cider. Perfect. We were there at 12.30, just in time to find a table. The place was soon packed by local office workers, and by what were clearly regular customers. Despite the crowd, service was efficient and smiling. The conversation all around was a pleasant hubbub of happy eaters. How nice to be able to order a complimentary bottle of chilled water without being expected to accept the expensive labelled and branded sort. The local dishes were clearly freshly prepared from local suppliers. The salads were copious and the hot dishes were just that and delicious. There is outside Seating overlooking a pleasant square if you prefer dining al fresco. A find! Don't miss it!

We dine here once every summer as we are taken by friends. The staff are very friendly and go to every effort to please you. The food and wine are both outstanding so what more could you ask?

Everything we had was extraordinary. The location is not very glamorous but it provides for very easy parking. Also once your are inside the decor is beautiful and the food lets your mind travel. The only slight disappointment was with the desserts, there were two and both were mousse based and lacked a variety of texture. Then again the flavors were amazing.

Dinner was excellent. For our mains we had chicken and fish. Both were flavoursome and cooked to perfection, with a nice selection of vegetables. To start, we were given a complementary appetiser of sea-food mousse. Desserts were delicious. The house wines were good and inexpensive. Our 3-course dinner (4 courses with the appetiser) with house wines and coffee was €55 for two people. Le Victor Hugo seemed to be very popular with the locals.

Had a good meal here. It did not blow my socks off, but it was good. The prices were a little high. The food was good, bit average for a place of this nature. The cheese plate was very good and I highly recommend it. Steak was average but cooked perfectly and after dinner coffee was below average. Service and atmosphere are great!

Normally I like creperies as simple as possible, but at La Rozell they obviously put thought and effort to use local produce in their less traditional fillings. The crepes themselves had a very pleasant buttery crisp texture. Certainly it is worth visiting if in that part of Lorient.

Our hotelier recommended this place. We got a table no problem even without a reservation on a busy Saturday night.
The decor is modern and quite chic.
The menu is only in French but we got help from the waitress and ordered.
The service was efficient and the food generally very good although my steak could have been a bit more tender.
We will definitely return on our next visit to Lorient next summer.

Although not the prettiest street in Lorient, the minute you walk in the door of Le Tire Bouchon you are in a comfortable and relaxing place. The attention to detail is obvious and this is reflected in the food. Classically french, beautifully presented and tastes as good as it looks. It is a small restaurant (bijou I think is the word), maybe no more than 25 covers, but the tables are well spaced and offer privacy without loosing atmosphere. You can choose from set menus (€30 to €42) or á la carte and an the wine list offers an excellent range at reasonable prices.
A great place for both small groups and couples and if you are looking for a romantic evening, then this is the place.
You can expect to pay some €40 to €60 per head but I suggest that this is good value for this standard of food. Highly recommended.
