The Viceroy Restaurant opened its doors in July 1987. During that period we have received honours from "Tandoori Good Food Guide", "The Good Curry Guide" and "Curry Club". Nonetheless, we believe our hospitality and service shouldn't become complacent because of our award winning recognition. Providing a quality dining experience is paramount in any eatery and with that in mind we've decided to give our menus, bar and restaurant a brand new look and feel. You will now find The Viceroy providing an emphasis on refined yet creative Indian cuisine complimenting with our new and improved selection of fine wine for assorted tastes. The A La Carte Menu incorporates both traditional classic favourites and original new dishes that apply Eastern flavours with a Western twist. What's more the restaurant itself has taken on a new and luxurious interior lending itself to the rich vibrancy of East meets West by incoporating a clean and sophisticated look, with rich violets, warm golden yellows and elements of black and white. The main restaurant seats up to 80 guests and is available for private entertaining by appointment whilst the bar can comfortably entertain 10 guests.
The hotel we were staying in had a limited menu so we came looking for food.
They were very busy with a big party in. We got our starters very quickly and they were good, after a bit of a wait our mains were brought out both curries were very good and full of flavour the madras was hot without blowing your head off.

There are a number of Italian restaurants in the Leyland area, all serving decent food. Isolabella's without doubt deserves a place in the higher rankings, not just for the quality of the food which is cooked exclusively to a high standard by chef Gianni; neither for the great value on all the tasty offerings but also for the great service from Emma and Karen whose ready smiles and pleasant demeanour add delight to every dish they serve. If you live in the area and are a lover of Italian food then a visit to Isolabella's is a must.

Every time we go to the Leyland lion there is always a warm busy feeling to it. The menu is a good all rounder, even for the fussy eaters I would say, and the prices and deals are brilliant.Thank you for the great feedback we hope to see you again soon.

Foxholes Restaurant at Runshaw College is renowned for outstanding quality and service. We are a non-profit making restaurant, relying on customer support to give local students the opportunity to develop their skills in a friendly learning environment where they can build their confidence and self esteem.
This is my second visit to Foxholes and it did not disappoint. The food is beautifully cooked and presented and this three course meal with a soft drink to accompany it and coffee at the end came to £17 - excellent value for money in my view.
I had Greek salad to start, followed by moussaka and it was all topped off with a trio of desserts.
The customer facing students had a very professional approach and I hope they go on to do great things in the big wide world of hospitality once they've qualified at Runshaw.
My only slight criticism is that the room where we eat is just like a classroom or conference room, including the whiteboard/screen on the wall. It would look more like a restaurant if there was some natural light maybe (even some internal windows) or some big statement plants to soften the decor a little.

The Blue Anchor Pub is situated in a small village called Bretherton in Lancashire. We serve an all you can eat hot pub grub buffet with salad bar Monday to Saturday from 12noon until 8.30Pm for £4.99. Options available vary daily.
Called here on the way back from a funeral. We were absolutely starving & so'as much as you could eat' sounded just what we needed! The choice of dishes was amazing. Had salad as a starter - didn't thinkto count how manydishes were available but certainly enough to satisfy all tastes. The same applied to mains. The fish was thinly battered & beautifully crisp. I'd happily have gone back for more but I was full! I was not tempted by the chips as they were not the way I like them but my husband loved them! You can' t please all of the people all of the time.Sweets were available as an extra. Childrens amount at less than adult.

Westhead Fish & Chips is a very traditional Chippy, we serve fresh fish on a daily basis and traditional thick-cut chips, with sides such as mushy peas, gravy and homemade curry. It's important to us to maintain the traditional ways, and not changing the tradition, by serving other cuisines. It's a small family run business in the lovely village of Croston.
I can count the good chippys I've been to on one hand and this is one I keep going back to. Good owners, good chips and fish only bad point is it's not in my village

Went here on a visit to Leyland. Wasn't too impressed. Had poppodoms for an appetite, was cleared away far too quickly. Main course I had garlic chilli Naga, was asked if I like it hot and said yes. Wasn't hot at all, very disappointed as the waiter had asked me specifically. TG he starter was tasteless and seemed like it had been made a lot earlier. The restaurant was very busy with take aways and we had to wait quite a while for our main course and he said he had had to refresh it as it had been waiting s while. Take aways obvitake preference to customers. Not good.
