Kite surfers, paragliders and deep-sea fishermen flock to windswept La Morne, a small village on the southwest side of Mauritius. Le Morne Brabant Mountain, a dramatic basaltic rock peak dotted with caves that once harbored runaway slaves, presides over luxury resorts and a wide beach widely regarded as the best on the island. Throw in a shimmering turquoise lagoon and gorgeous sunsets and calling the town "paradise" doesn't seem like a cliché.

This restaurant is ok. Nice layout and had a nice atmosphere. Service wasn't great but the food was pretty good. It's worth a try if staying in the resort of Dinarobin or Le Paradis. I wouldn't come from outside of the hotel to eat at this Italian. There are far better in the north at luigis of the one and only rivoli.

This nestles restaurant lies in a recess of the Paradis hotel structure, in the lush Gardens of that hotel. It’s not very big and as it has no doors when the weather is a bit chilly one may not be there as comfortable as one would like. Its location within the whole hotel complex is a good one and pending upon the place where one sits it’s possible to see part of the swimming pool and the sea as well as other hotel facilities and of course the superb Gardens close to it.
The personnel working in that restaurant is not always up to the task they carry out in a restaurant having the characteristics of that subject matter of this review. Some of them don’t pay attention to conducting themselves with the politeness required for the customers to be satisfied. One of the waiters, an old man, stroke my back with a plate when proceeding to lay it on the table. He hardly apologized for that. On the day I had dinner in that place, June 4th 2016 there were also a waitress. She proved herself to be polite and diligent and behaved rather correctly all the time I was having the meal.
The food is rather good. The restaurant’s offer contains many Italian specialities but also fish and seafood and they know how to cook the pasta with much refinement and skill. The dishes of that kind are very tasty and it’s a real pleasure to eat in the place in question.
Apart from the foregoing, the fact that there is no music (disturbing noise) in the restaurant makes the customers feel relieved and pleased. There is therefore the possibility to spend a good moment in the stated restaurant. A reservation is needed to have dinner in it.

This restaurant is where breakfast was served daily at the St. Regis. They offer a giant buffet with every food item you can imagine... including sparking wine, bloody mary's. There is also an a la carte menu for those who prefer that. Most days I chose chose a la carte. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor Seating... we preferred the outdoor Seating as the weather was excellent and the view lovely. The food is very nice and service to match. I did expect to see an omelet station, as these are so common with this type of thing. They didn't have one, but you can order eggs and such from your waiter, so not an issue. It can get very crowded but they have a lot of Seating so a table was never a problem. I need strong coffee, so I appreciated the French press coffee which they bring to your table as much as the Illy espresso makers they had in the room.
This is also one of the top high end spots for dinner. Excellent chow, presentation, service, etc. Don't miss the Duck Salmis... a local Mauritian dish... a stew served with rice on the side.

We are staying at the St Regis for a week of R&R after our African Safari. Having a very enjoyable and restful break in a gorgeous suite. The food is a highlight each day with each restaurant better than the last. Tonight's dinner at Simply India was simply superb. Tasty, light and very moreish. Thanks to Chef Rahul and his team in the kitchen for excellent cooking and his very efficient and pleasant waiting staff. We will be back before we leave!

I enjoyed my breakfast here daily. Good fruit . Great pastries. Good omelette station. Magnificent view. That was the norm for breakfast. My dinner experience was not as satisfying, less service, less menu excitement, less everything.
When it's dark you focus more on the food, I guess?

Can't get much better for a surrounding. But as far as food? Service just ok. My lunch ( cheeseburger and fries + desert ), no alcohol, $ 50 us . Really ! No problem with food but seriously not any better than average fast food. Service was ok, menu is limited for lunch. My dinner was somewhat better, but service slow. Tough lamb loin, etc....

We were staying at a nearby hotel, and thanks to tripadvisor we discovered this little beach chiringuito, very nice and friendly, they even prepared some tuna non marinated for my wife who is intollerant to garlic. Products are fresh and cooking is simple. The white tuna is delicious, so are the fries. Prices are half those the big hotels charge reason why it deserves 5 stars

We had one dinner here and the food and the service are excellent. But it felt a little to upstretched for our taste. No smiling sweet Mauritians here, but very strict waiters.
We do love good food and fine wines, but we also love a soft and pleasant atmosphere.

The Plantation Club is a restaurant serving modern Mauritian cuisine. The a la carte menu is the perfect meeting of European and Mauritian know-how working its magic on choice local fresh products. Nestled away in a tropical garden of the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort and overlooking sugar cane fields and Mountains, it features also a private pool, outdoor bar and lounge area.
We were staying at the Outrigger Resort. We visited the Plantation Club four times on our holiday. Twice was for a Saga Gala Dinner. Once for the Lobster cooked eight different ways and one for a fantastic meal with lobster as the main course.
It is the best food and service that I have had anywhere. From the sumptuous food to the fantastic wine list to the excellent service. Nothing was to much trouble.
Geert the Executive Chef even came into our private dining room for a chat, What a lovely person. Thank you to everyone at the Plantation Club that made our visit so special.
We will be back.
