Open daily for lunch and dinner, authentic fresh local seafood, romantic restaurant overlooking the lake with delicious local produce, gluten free and vegetarian friendly, candlelit tables, warm and friendly staff, wide range of local wines, cold beers and specialty cocktails.
My husband and I visited the restaurant in the afternoon to review the menu and made a booking. We were one of only two couples upon arrival and service was efficient. I ordered the stuffed zucchini flowers from the specials board and my husband the prawn spaghetti but asked for mussels to be included which was no trouble. Our drinks arrived promptly and we received 2 slices of some delicious bread. Our meals were delicious and arrived in good time. For dessert I had the baklava and my husband the apple and rhubarb crumble, we enjoyed both.
I would recommend this restaurant as the service was friendly and prompt and the food delicious.

Come by boat, ours or yours, or come by car, for a delicious lunch among the vines. Only 10 minutes drive from the gorgeous fishing town of Lakes Entrance. Sunny decks in summer, log fire in winter, local art, wines made on site. Open all year round. For a unique Gippsland experience, Wyanga Park Winery is the place to go.
Locally recomended the oldest winery in Gippsland family owned since its beginnings. We drove in only 10 minutes from the central shopping area. You can get there by river too. The place has a bit of shabby chic going on. Not a fine dining feel with sleek modern architecture... rather it had more of a homely feel with lots of mum's paintings (she also designed the wine labels) photos and a rather eccentric grouping of furniture tables etc. We did not eat but heard the food is tasty. The wine tasting was informative and we enjoyed our time with the winemaker who was really pleasant. Wines were not to our palate and we did only do whites..still well worth a visit though.

We were craving for Carbonara and found this Italian Restaurant, established in 1980.
So we tired and so satisfied.
Creamy, cheesy and tasty Fettuccine Carbonara, so yummy.
And Veal Scallopini was not bad. Veal was a bit tough but the creamy mushroom sauce was so delicious and coming with nice salad & chips.
The very warm atmosphere and friendly service.
Having some beer and we enjoyed very much in Australia Day.
When we left, the restaurant was so full. so popular.
There was a line for takeaway pizza.

If I had paid half as much for food twice as good, it would have got an average rating.
Overpriced, bad service, minimal seafood in each dish, absolute tourist trap. Imagine most people eat here only once!
Better options: Nicks Thai across the road or Nautica in Metung
If visiting soon and the same menu exists, avoid the ciabatta special at all costs! Soggy, very little seafood for almost $30. The chowder had lots of seafood but had the solid end of a corn cob, prawn tails (with no body?!) and was generally average.
Ordered two chais and they gave us two lattes. Sent Chai back, they bought it back saying this is definitely a Chai. And I said no it’s not, it’s coffee, then they returned with a chai so obviously realised.
Check your bill! They tried to charge me $133 after confirming what we ordered, then when I challenged them they quickly said oh no it’s $68.
Soooo disappointing and makes me question reliability of the good reviews on here.

RSL Club Bistro- Restaurant
This was a surprise, as we were planning on going out somewhere else for dinner, but had three different people recommend the RSL to us. The food was delicious and very generous servings. A big Chinese menu and an alternate ‘pub’ menu for those not wanting Chinese.
We had a dish from each menu - chicken Kiev (delicious) and chicken & cashews (yum)
Great place for dinner. Thank you

Having visited late last year and enjoyed a fabulous meal visited again and found the service and meal again excellent and very enjoyable.
Found the service was first class.
The meal last time was the sizzling seafood that was sensational and was really looking forward to the meal this time, trying the house roasted crispy pork belly which was very nice and enjoyed immensely

The Cafe is open from 9am - 6pm serving freshly made sandwiches, foccacias, gourmet cakes and coffee. Try one of our delicious lunch sized meals off of our Zephyr lunch menu. Plenty of great choices for only $12 each. Dinner begins at 6pm and offers quality char grilled steaks, delcious schnitzels, pastas, and local fish of the day. Roasts available everyday in half or full serves. A modern spacious facility, great for large groups and families. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant. Great value for money!

Four of us dines here one incredibly stormy evening. Just getting to Tyers Beach was like driving through a waterfall experiencing a light show. Gratefully, the storms passed and blue skies returned just as we entered this terrific establishment. The owner of our motel recommended this place for dinner and said we would not be disappointed......he was right, we weren't. While Waterwheel serves all the favourites, the go here is seafood, seafood, seafood.
First of all a bit about the place itself. It is large, close to the sheltered beach and must be absolutely mobbed during the summer school holidays. It was relatively quiet the night we visited and the service was very friendly and personal. As we were 4 adults we chose a succession of dishes to share: Pacific Oysters, beautifully tender calamari, sauteed scallops and flattie tails. Superb! Compliments to the chefs! The salads and chips were excellent as well. Portions were generous and prices reasonable for the quality of the food. An extensive wine list complemented the menu's range. Very much hope we get to eat here again.

Winner of East Gippsland Business Awards for People's Choice 2011. The most modern, new and unique cafe in town. A family friendly cafe bakery offering a large range Cakes, Pastries, Focacciaas as well as a full Breakfast and Lunch Menu. Grab some coffee and cake and wander down to the beach. All our products are made on the premisses. We also can cater for any function. Open 7 days a week. Come in and meet our frindly monkey family. Turn left at the traffic lights off the main road, and you are sure to be delighted.
Country town, don't expect funky food / menu? Wrong! This cafe took me by surprised with their fun exciting menu and delicious food. We had the big breakfast and fried chicken on waffles. Yum Yum Yum! Good generous serving, chicken was tender and juicy and the sauce and toppings on it, way better than what I had in Melbourne. And prices very reasonable! A must try in the area.

The Central Hotel, located on the waterfront of Victoria's Gippsland Lakes, is in the center of town. Enjoy a meal in our bistro which specialises in fresh local seafood and local produce. A regular feature for lunch is the 'Parma & Pot' for only $17.50 in the bar is always popular. We serve local gummy shark with a crispy beer batter and crunchy chips for lunch & dinner so if its great fish n chips your after you are in the right place! During the colder months, relax with a glass of red wine by the original open fireplace. In summer enjoy the view from our alfresco outdoor area and if your lucky catch a glimpse of our ever popular dolphins passing by!
The ambiance of the Central Hotel leaves a little to be desired, but this was counter-balanced by friendly, engaging staff. The food was good without displaying any great flair, but it represented reasonable value for money. My only disappointment was the limited vegetarian offering.
