Arriving late and very wet in Myvatn, we had a warm welcome and some very good food in Restaurant Myllan. The food was good enough to encourage us to book for a second night. Fresh local produce - the Arctic Char especially recommended. Friendly service. The only downside was the rather dated and sterile dining room

We ate here when staying at the hotel just across the way. Super atmosphere and great burgers and beer; all, by Icelandic standards, reasonably priced. Due to being popular and very busy, the service was a little slow at times but on the whole it was good.

This was the best meal we had in Iceland and possibly the best salmon I have ever had! Definitely stop here while in the Lake Myvatan area. You order at a register, but then sit outside where the view is beautiful. The food is top notch!
Lundur Budget Guesthouse has a restaurant that provides homely meals at reasonable prices. Menu includes dill salmon with bread and honey - mustard sauce; soup of the day; lamb fillet; meatballs; oven baked arctic charr; sandwich; pizza (on Fridays); apple pie; etc.

By the looks of this place, you'd think it was a casual diner with mediocre food..., but you'd be wrong. This place is an EXCELLENT farm-to-table restaurant! The food is top notch. I had the lamb shank, and it was done to perfection. You could taste the red wine it was braised in. It was served with a delicious gravy, and a lovely jam that complimented the lamb beautifully. There was a fresh salad and a potato cake served with it as well. My dinning companion had the arctic char, which was perfectly pan seared. The skin was nice and crisp and the fish itself was velvety soft. Also served with a potato cake and a fresh salad, with a mild creamy cheese. We had the raw vegan chocolate peanut butter dessert, which was outstanding...a perfect combo of creamy and crunchy peanut butter filling with a crunchy chocolate top, adorned with salty peanuts. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant if you are in the area.

Cashier/ waitress was not the most welcoming or cheerful person. We waited just under an hour for our pizza to arrive from the kitchen. When it did it was decent and tasty, though we were very hungry by this point.

We were in the area and we decided to have dinner there, inspired by the opinions in this app.
It was a nice dinner with kind waiters.
We had soup of the day, langoustines and trout. Everything was yummy. Totally recommended if you happen to be near.

On our way to explore the area around Lake Myvatn, our group of 29 Road Scholar travelers had lunch at Gigur Hotel Restaurant.
A very good salmon was served with a side of potato.
After lunch we walked some of the many trails that go around the lake. We had been warned beforehand to be prepared for midges but fortunately the insect must have been taking a summer break since we didn't encounter any pests.

Very clean and well organized thermal center in myvatn. Very good quality/price for Iceland. There's a service to have a beer to drink into the swimming pool.
Full of people in july but it's fantastic to see people from every part of the world together in harmony in this magical place!
An amazing thermal place with excellent quality of the hot water. In my opinion the right time for the visit it's 3-4 hrs for a real relaxing moment during the roundtrip of Iceland.
