Don't let its size fool you; Spain's smallest province makes a big name for itself with enticing wines and spectacular scenery. From its healing thermal baths to its rugged mountain trails, La Rioja provides the perfect getaway to any traveler. Action junkies can find adventures skiing, biking or white-water rafting, while the more sedate will find a peaceful respite sipping wine in the region's lush vineyards, or walking the famous pilgrims' trail to Santiago.

Nice elegant setting, friendly service and usually very busy. Had asparagus and chuleton, my wife artichokes and tuna, splendid ingredients well prepared with respect and spot on. The wine a Luis Cañas family reserve for less than 30 euros is a brilliant deal with the good red meat. More than p,easant experience, excellent food will be happy to return as soon as possible, well done

Old cellar of the 16th century. Building of stone and wood. Five rooms with different atmospheres. Covered Terrace and outside. More than 1000 m2 garden. Children's games. Parking for more than 50 vehicles. Two underground Cellars or "calados". Creative and also traditional cuisine. Daily proposals of dishes according to season. Wine list with 500 references.
Lunch here was a highlight. Excellent fresh basque food with excellent staff and lovely restaurant. In a bit of an odd location and not simple to find its opposite was from haro on highway - but do not miss. We were first ones there at 130 but place was packed at 3- make a ressie. We had been boxed out of two winery tours for various reasons and so asked owner - a clear wine lover - for recommendations of where to just drop in. He gave us his list of personal favorites which was spot on and at a couple we were warmly welcomed (and offered to not charge which we declined) from the staff at wineries. This is a must so long as you have a car to get there from haro. Angel - well done awesome place

Restaurante familiar reconocido con una estrella Michelin y dos soles repsol. Cocina tradicional riojana renovada.
An unassuming country house is the home of this spectacular Michelin starred restaurant. Immaculately clean, attentive service, and a spectacular approach of placing food on the table that combines the traditions as well as the innovations of Riojan cooking. Let the Echapresto brothers make all your dining decisions (including wine selections from their very impressive cellar)...you won't be sorry!

We stopped in here for a drink and a snack on both our two nights in Logrono.
Very friendly staff, very good wines, (both red and white at low prices), and some brilliant pintxos/tapas.
Highlights included the mini hamburger and fries, as well as the fresh foie, and mi-cuit.
Would highly recommend visiting this bar.

We did a little route around the Laurel street yesterday trying several specialties from different bars and this one was the real best! Just mushrooms with a shrimp on top one could think, but so tasty... simply delicious and the very best!

Ate here at end of long day on Camino. We had mussels, a pilgrim scallop followed by fantastic paella. Wonderful meal and best seafood on Camino by far. Unfortunately internet in hotel was down and unable to print boarding passes for early flight. Asked about Internet cafe during meal and Javier (Harvey) and staff couldn't have been more helpful and printed them for us. My daughter was delighted with scallop shell. Highly recommended.

Lunch there today. Warmest of welcomes from Laura (her husband is the chef). Excellent food - two of us shared two starters and then had a third starter each; no problem about sharing and generous 'halves'. Really interesting, regional food; nothing fussy, but well thought-out dishes executed with flair. Wines are very reasonably priced - the 2008 Cubillo, Lopez de Heredia, we chose was €20 - shop price around €12. The village of Rivas de Tereso is small, charming and unspoilt. Excellent value for money to boot. Most highly recommended.

My wife and I were fortunate to stay at the Echaurren hotel for three nights whilst touring la rioja, this restaurant is simply stunning, we ate on a Sunday afternoon, the meal took three hours and was simply perfect. 23 courses of pure delight, ok not everything was to my taste, but the quality and standard of artistry was sublime.
I would strongly recommend experiencing this establishment you will not be disappointed.

Bar man was friendly and didn't know too much English. We don't know too much Spanish so this made for a pleasant time. Background music was huge plus, best of the bars we went too.
Food was good in range and taste. Recommend you call in for a drink. Have the Tobelas crianza!

Perfect place to enjoy pintxos with an extra detail. The service is quick, friendly and good. The food is tastefully and served beautiful. A perfect presentation and large choice of wine. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get. We had the Kobe beef medallions and the filled peppers with Jamon.
Do not be scared of by the small roasted peppers, more flavour than spice. Very busy place but staff made an effort to speak the bit of English that they knew, we were impressed with both the quality of the food and the prices. Many good tapas in this area, but Torres Gastrobar stand out! Recommended for a visit.
