The town's main landmark is the Baroque Kroměříž Bishop's Palace, where some scenes from Amadeus and Immortal Beloved were filmed. The Gardens and Castle at Kroměříž were added to the list of World Heritage Sites in 1998.

We visited this place with our kids. Semi-dark beer was very good, but we did’t like the vesnicke one. Meals were very poor. We took ribs which were very stiff and fatty though waitress promised they would be without fat. They also smelled not well....MoreAll of our meal are very fresh, 2 times weekly ordered. Ribs can be with fat, thats also a reason why lots of people order it.

We were staying at the hotel and enjoyed the restaurant for a dessert one evening and breakfast the following morning. Really good and tasty food with friendly, swift service. Seen in retrospect we should have taken our dinner in the restaurant as well but it will have to be next time.

Restaurant is just close to Velke Namesti (Great Square) in the center of this small and beautiful city. Reasonable prices and tasty food. Specialities of Czech cuisine and more. Try tenderloin and knedlik. Good beer from small Breweries like Maximilian or Selsky Kromeriz. Also wine from Archbishops Winery.

Octarna used to be one of the best in Kromeriz, however nowadays the quality of service is very poor. Staff in this price categori should be polite, be abe to give some advice to the customer, react in reasonoble time (according to number of quests), you can´t find none of these by Octarna Staff. However this is problem of all Kromeriz restaurants, you get just angry because of poor service, and you can´t enjoy the food even it is quite good.

We had there our wedding and were very satisfied. We had all the place - 2 rooms + a Terrace outside, perfect for 33 guests. The food was delicious, service very nice, there was no problem even with our special requirements as I needed everything gluten free.
I really recommend this place - and I come from Kroměříž do trust mě:)

You can find this small cafe/bar in the heart of City Center, they can offer you italian coffee Danesi, juices Niehofs Vaihinger, breakfas menu, toasts, italian panini and piadina (prepared from fresh ingredients at the bar), homemade cakes, a lot of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, rums, vodkas from around the world, on tap belgian beer Stella Artois.

I am very happy that we tried this place because it turned out to be the best place in Kroměříž, not only for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, but also for a regular meal. I tried "španělský ptáček" (something like beef rolls) from their daily menu and it was delicious! They also have a good selection of cakes (some of them home made) and a reasonable choice of teas. It’s a very cozy and comfortable place, and the service is very friendly. Highly recommendable!

This restaurant is one of several located on the city's main square and is quite close to the city's UNESCO listed chateau. As such, you will likely be quite tempted by it if you've just finished a tour of the chateau. I recommend looking a bit further.
On the good side; this restaurant is clean, the food is good and the staff are professional.
The downside is in the value for money aspect. I ordered a grilled cheese dish which cost 89 Koruna. When it arrived, it was a single piece of cheese with a few vegetables to garnish. The menu contained no side dishes.
At most other restaurants I've been to, the same price usually gets you two or three pieces of cheese and a side dish.
I'm not certain why they should serve so little in relation to the price; but I suspect they are either compensating for high rent for their location's proximity to a major toursit attraction or are simply taking advantage of hungry tourists.
Whatever the case, Kroměříž has plenty of other dining establishments off the main square that may offer better value for money
