we had heard about the good quality of service and were lookin for a good fish dinner. Unfortunately, they only serve snacks, pastas and other quick bites.

This restaurant offers very fine dining at very reasonable prices. Several set menues allow you to taste a lot of different plates at an affordable price. Amazing how many variants of one fruit can be combined in a desert. Somewhat longer waiting times allow you to really enjoy !

For once all words fail me. Did I just die and go to heaven? I asked for a predominantly vegetarian set of courses (with some fish) and the chef, clearly a genius, attended to each with cleverness and skill. That is one of a chef's hardest tasks and he passes with flying colours. As do his hard working and brilliant staff. There are few places to top here.

We will go back to this restaurant for the good food (try the lobster, great !). But if you're looking for a romantic quit place, this is definitely not it. We went on a Saturday evening in August. It was very noisy. The owner directing her operation by shouting to her staff was not helping either. But it has to be said : It is not cheap but the prices, especially the menu's, are more than fair. Very good Belgian cuisine, but lack of atmosphere.

Our friends had chosen this time to spent our midyearly evening in this restaurant, so we always convene that the bill for 4 will be divided by 2. Each one choses his dishes BUT this was impossible: the lady of the house said that we had to take each of us 4 the same Suggestions Menu drinks included at 65 euro each. The agreement came from our friends, so we agreed afterwards ! We had an entree with cooked oysters ! (bah !) and than a small piece of turbot, and a chocomoelleux to end. The trick with the drinks is that the lady of the house goes with the same winebottles to every table and serves it frequently full ...WHEN the glasses are not empty. So you get the impression that she came many times, but just to fill it a little bit up, so you don't drink much. The pretentious lady of the house serves every dish with high level comment as if we were on a 4 stars Michelin table ! No thank you, to tricky, to expensive, and not much in your dishes.

This restaurant was opened in February 2017 by a young couple. Nils cooked and Sofie served us a delicious dinner. Both appetizers and main courses on the fixed menu were picture perfect and delicious. The elderberry dessert was amazing. Sofie's English is excellent and her young daughter charming. A great recommendation from our B&B and at the Carnac Hotel so easily reached by tram.

A typical brasserie style restaurant. We were four and had cheese croquettes en shrimp croquettes. Don't know if they are homemade, but the taste was OK. Accompanied by a beautiful salad and fresh bread. A 'tomate crevette' came nicely presented and my Dover sole was delicious and huge. French fries were ok. Prices are reasonable.

Our first choice of restaurant was fully booked, so off we went in search of another place. We were very happy to find this one we didn't know about. A bit dreary from the side of the road (lack of parking space), but once inside, the back part of the restaurant is quite surprising. We got the best table, quiet, no neighbours and next to the indoor pond.
Light and inventive food, tasty and colourful.
Friendly staff, some of them lacking experience though.

Last september we visited this restaurant twice as we had a holiday in Oostduinkerke.
Every time we were welcommed in a proffesional way. The service was very good. Most important: the dishes were of an outstanding quality and well presented. The bill was a positive surprice (if one sees the prices asked in the "tavernes" on the seaside-promenade).

We chose this resto as it was only a few minutes walk from our hotel and was high on the recommend list. It proved to be everything that the other reviewers have positively said about it. The owner is a Montois and as we had lived near Mons we had a lot to talk about with him. His staff are courteous and very helpful. The food is relatively simple but excellent, in particular, our frites were obviously hand cut (and so they should be in a Belgian resto).
