Kingstown, the capital of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is a major port city for the Caribbean island chain. The city features a series of surviving 19th century buildings, including St George's Cathedral, known for its beautiful stained glass, and the Romanesque Cathedral of the Assumption. In the wharf area, visitors can see structures built from the tile and red brick that was used as ballast on trading ships from Britain, or head up to Fort Charlotte for a stunning view of the city.

The first time we ordered the conch chowder and a seafood pasta but filled up on the chowder and bread, it was that big, tasty, and filling. Unlike most Caribbean conch chowder this is in a white sauce with conch and potatos and a taste so unique we tried to bribe them for the recipe. No luck so we will have to go back.

A great Rastafarian restaurant in the capital of St.Vincent and the Grenadines, just a couple of blocks off the main street. It isn't completely vegetarian, but there isn't another category to choose for it. There are some meat and fish dishes, although most are vegetarian. The emphasis is on fresh. Each day, there are eight or ten dishes. Lunch is a choice of four, plus bread and a beverage. Beverages include fresh juices and teas, and mauby. Most customers of Ras Ital are local. The restaurant offers good value and delicious food.
Very wide selection of food including chunks, codfish, fried fish... I particularly love the codfish. Natural juices also available. The service is okay by other workers but when the proprietor serves, which he does every now and then, he's quite exceptional and jovial.

This wonderful bar is easy to miss if you don't know your way around the city. However, it is a great place to stop for lunch, dinner or just to get away from it all. Located upstairs the Subway (restaurant), follow the steps up to a big medieval looking door. It takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust if you just left the bright sunlight.
The staff is friendly and the music is normally at the right level. Quick tip: order ahead if you choose to have lunch at midday.

Meet Derek, ur bartender. Awesome, funny and full of jokes. Meet Anne Marie! Gem!!!! Food is awesome, best juicy burger in the world other than my own. Pizza. Omg! Eat it there cause it's the best fresh.
Ocean air, waves crashing, moonlight and we have jerk night. A night not to miss with the festival dipping sauce that I would put on everything I eat. Only on Friday nights. The pork is the best since I've never tried anything but.
If in Svg please take a Friday night and experience this joint

I used to love this little cafe when it was just that...a 'cafe' when they were located in town. We used to pop by for ice cream or cappuccinos after shopping. Then they moved and ended up at Blue Lagoon and turned themselves into a full menu restaurant with the same boring menu that seems to plague the majority of restaurants on island. Yes the location is lovely, in the marina overlooking the water and boats, but that's about it. On our last visit, I ordered the soleil salad. A couple of lettuce leaves topped with a chopped apple and shredded grapes soaked with some sort of a dressing. Underwhelming to say the least. Not a single walnut to be seen even though it's mentioned in the salad's description. The white wine was lukewarm and tasted like it was watered down, served in dollar store type glasses. The waiter had difficulty understanding our order; we had to repeat it several times even though it was quite simple. During our meal, no one bothered to stop by to see if things were OK...the staff were too busy dancing to the music to bother with us I guess. Even though there are so few decent restaurants on island, I will give this one a miss. Flowt beach bar next door is much better.

Below the Cobblestone Inn is Basil's Bar...it feels like an English Pub and offers great food for the budget minded person. If you are a good eater, the lunch buffet is wonderful. The chef salad is like a 'master piece'. Service is good and it is a favorite hangout for the locals.

Enjoy simple, well-prepared fare dockside alongside the Young Island Cut, where you will see yachts maneuvering during the day and the twinkling lights of Young Island Resort in the evening.
There's something on the menu that will appeal to everyone, kids included-burgers and fries, pizza, sandwiches, salads, or main courses of steak, chicken, local fresh fish, local roti.

Dine inside or on the Terrace.
Available for Private Functions

Closed Mondays
High Tide is the Home of Sparrows Rum Island Blended
Away from the hustle and bustle from busy Kingstown, down on villa beach opposite young island is undoubtedly the best place to eat in St Vincent's! I spent six weeks in St Vincent's last year and visited this place numerous times. The waitress remembered us from the first time and was welcoming and friendly each time. There is an extensive menu, but try the roti! Best I had in my whole time in the Caribbean. We went as a large group, but there was no fuss in sorting the bill at the end, they were accommodating and we asked to pay seperatly and were provided by individual bills. Made life a lot easier. Away from town, but most certainly worth a visit! Would go back in a flash.
