Khartoum (/kɑːrˈtuːm/ kar-TOOM) is the capital and largest city of Sudan and the state of Khartoum. It is located at the confluence of the White Nile, flowing north from Lake Victoria, and the Blue Nile, flowing west from Ethiopia. The location where the two Niles meet is known as "al-Mogran" (المقرنthe confluence). The main Nile continues to flow north towards Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea.

I was told that a place to this place is a must from my father who ate there couple of years ago. Well, The service is super slow and the food you order is hardly what you get and they behave like they do not care. I can't recommeneded at any level.

Popular among locals at the southwestern end of Al Mufti street in an area with many embassies. A typical Sudanese place with both inside and outside dining spaces. I had shish tawook served with some vegetables and traditional bread. Good quality well prepared grilled chicked. Portion large enough to fill you up.
There is a buffet salad bar, with different kinds of vegetables.
Friendly and efficient service. Prices are reasonable. 85 SDG (3USD) for shish tawook.

Ozone is a nice escape in the city. It has a beautiful garden under a monumental tree and fast service. You will not find any local food or delicacy, but the menu is satisfactory enough for your preferences - meat, salad, pasta or breakfast. They prepare coffee with care. The fruit juices are fresh, but a bit slow in servicing. The only bug is that they do not have sparkling water (I don't really know why). Their pizza is not like the regular circular pizza that you find in pizzerias but still OK. Portions are big, and the plate content is rich. Their burger is worth trying, and Caesar Salad is my favorite. When you are in Khartoum, you will visit Ozone unavoidably...

As Khartoum's highest restaurant, the Rickshaw's commanding views complement its stunning innovative menu. From China to Japan, every dish on this culinary journey fuses the traditional with the innovative in a subtly lit, beautifully designed environment.
The restaurant and staff were great... while we were eating they had a man playing songs on an acoustic guitar. The view was of course great from there, but pics were a little hard to take due to the layout of the restaurant. The hotel was mostly filled with Saudi businessmen, there is a small gift shop on the first floor.

Inspiring architecture with panoramic views of Khartoum and the Nile River. With spectacular views of Sunut Forest, the White and Blue Nile and the bucolic charms of Tutti Island, this superbly designed restaurant caters to all tastes with it's mouth-watering array of specialties from all over the world.
That's really the highlight. The confluence of the two Niles. And Tutti island, Omdurman, and Khartoum North (Bahri).
You won't get a better public view anywhere, as this is up on the 28th floor of this egg-shaped futurely designed hotel funded by Gaddadi during his heydays in Africa.
The food? A buffet. International.
Bland but decent. What you'll remember is the view.
So take a window seat, if you are not afraid of heights.

As an authentic steakhouse, Le Grill sources prime beef which is the hallmark of this lively and entertaining restaurant. Boasting the finest cuts in Khartoum, the restaurant is not only the place for the most discerning of palates, it also offers music lovers a club-like venue for eclectic live music amid the dark mahogany and restrained lighting. Le Grill is conveniently located on the ground floor with direct access outside.
The food is below average, but really great for Khartoum, service is slow so take your mobile and occupy yourself for 30 to 45 minutes while they make your food (even if it's empty) the staff are friendly but very sloooooooooooow. Don't go here if you are hungry, or you will either fall asleep or die of starvation before your food arrives.
The Soup of the day is usually not bad and the burgers are OK. As for the other dishes, well, if you're really very hungry, they will fill a hole and tadte will not be that important anyway. The place has huge potential, in another Country it would be a really happening place. In Khartoum it has a feeling of the day after the natural disaster. Also there's a problem with the music system so don't be surprised if you hear the same song being played continually for an hour, no one will bother skipping to the next song and as you lay in bed that night, that same song will be going through your head.

A relaxing atmosphere in the lobby lounge surrounded by the majestic terraces of the hotel, the Nile and Tutti Island, the Lobby Lounge provides the perfect setting for a friendly meeting over drinks. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with plush sofas and oversized chairs to compliment the magnificent view of the confluence of the Blue and White Nile. Located in the Lobby, the Nile River Café is often used as a venue for Art and Cultural Exhibitions.
I liked the mocha and much more the Karkadeh Juice which in English is Hibiscus, besides drinking I learnt that Hibiscus is known as KARKADEH.
Staffs are very friendly, polite and nice.
I recommend to all who wish to experience like the way I did....Will go back soon.

Very nice turkish restaurant... Delicious traditional turkish kitchen...
This Turkish restaurant offers excellent value for money. Had an excellent meze platter (tzatziki, humus etc.) starter with pizza bread, a fresh mixed salad and then the Turkish version of a mixed grill, washed down with an excellent fresh lemon & mint juice. The food quality was great, as was the service, which was almost too fast, as the mains arrived very soon after the starters. The restaurant's interior was similar to a 1960s diner, but was very clean and there was good a/c. All in all, a most pleasant experience.
As in the rest of Sudan, no alcohol is served, and credit cards aren't accepted.
