Krogers Pub & Restaurant opened its doors to Larmtorget in the heart of Kalmar in 1993 and soon became the natural meeting place for both locals and tourists. Much has happened over the years and most recently in February 2011 was a renovation and expansion of Krogers premises. This resulted in a new fresh restaurant section and a new lift for the kitchen. With Kalmar's largest outdoor dining and fantastic atmosphere, Krogers is the central place where people meet and socialize. In the summer we have magic atmosphere in the bars and on our large outdoor Terrace. As part of Krogers Pub & Restaurant vision, we renovated the kitchen in 2011 which brought the visitors closer to the chefs. Large and clear focus was placed on locally produced, seasonal and organic ingredients. The food is nowadays the focus on Krogers, and we place great importance on being able to offer all visitors in Kalmar something appreciated and that surprises them. It should feel natural to go to Krogers Pub & Restaurant at all stages of life.
Pleasantly located in the main square, this restaurant/bar attracts both locals and tourists. Nice setup and atmosphere, we decided to take a drink along with some food. The Deluxe Plate was a joke: low quality ham, old chicken wings and mushrooms with canned tomato sauce out of the microwave. That was it. DELUXE. Poor, disgusting and insulting.
I told the waitress to take it away and she did, without doing anything to compensate.
To the owners: beside getting a new chef (and maybe taking a look at the food from your side as well) you should probably send the staff to some proper customer service training.

The lunch buffet is one of the best deals in Kalmar. Excellent selection although probably not much to chose if you are vegetarian. Only had 2 vegetarian dishes when I visited. Lots of nice beef, chicken and pork dishes as well as a decent fried squid. The braised pork was excellent and reminded me of food I had in Singapore. Not sure how much the dishes change but definitely worth a visit. Not much in ambiance but cant expect much at a buffet.

The house was built back in 1660 so there is a lot of atmosphere in the restaurant in the basement
There was not much to chose from on the menu, but what they had was very good.
I ate the moose and it was excellent, maybe because of the atmosphere. The served tea from a big pot and I had tow Deserts because it was very good.
I have had Christmas dinner here a few years ago, and if I ever come back to Kalmar I will for sure come back here. A must go place when in Kalamr

I randomly asked a local man. I am hungry and tired! where I can go to have descent dinner. With no hesitation he drive me to this restaurant. He introduced me Ernesto, who took care of my appetite. I can say I didn't regret at all and highly recommend to every one, not only for pizza or Pasta but for a big variety of Anti-pasti. The chef in the dishes presentation reaches the creation level. The quality very good and the prices reasonable for this kind of food.

Stopped off in Kalmar for the night and went here. Beer selection is impressive as is the whiskey. We ate there and the double burgers are excellent (rib eye minced steak). Could have stayed all night but driving the next day.

Beautifully located just over from the marina and on the corner overlooking everything. Classy restaurant with a cosy, light, marine-styled interior. Very good food including local Char and a stunning Cod dish. All washed down with crisp, cool pints of Carlsberg. Very pretty, professional service also. What's not to like!

Amanda was super-helpful in this cosy subterranean bar on the site of an old brewery off one of main streets. Wonderful selection of bottled craft beers including the excellent local beer the Ängöl Prima Lager 5% from Kalmar's Ängö Kvartersbryggeri. There's an Oktoberfestlig Ängöl Märzen, a stunning Oktoberfest/Märzen beer too.

I've been to this cafe multiple times and it always deliver the same quality. If you're looking for a modern contemporary place this is not the place to visit. If you're keen on a cozy place with old interior design this is definitely the place to visit in Kalmar. I will definitely return.

This must be one of the few remaining traditional coffee shops/ bakery (konditori) in Sweden. A real 50's atmosphere and a must go to place if you come to Kalmar
The only 2 must "go to" places in Kalmar (Källaren Kronan and Holmgrens Konditori) almost next to each other.
Holmgrens Konditori (coffee shop/ bakery) serves coffee/ tea with home made traditional Swedish cookies/ pastry and the reason I give it excellent is the atmosphere. Of course, the pastry and cookies are very good

This is simply a charming place to eat, outside or in. We sat outside and had a delicious salmon salad and a chicken mango salad. No bread or crackers are included. As we were sitting enjoying our lunch, a Delivery truck started to make a Delivery..He forgot to put the brake on and the truck started to roll backwards. I was sure the truck would hit a glass window, but it hit a lamp pole. We were all holding our breath as it rolled back! Be sure to check out the World,s Tiniest Bathroom while you are there! Barely room to get in! What can you do with such an old building from the 17th century? From there you can walk to Kalmar Slott ( Castle ) in about 10 minutes. A great afternoon!
