Jūrmala is a resort town stretching 32 km (20 miles) and sandwiched between the Gulf of Riga and the Lielupe River. It has a 33 km (21 miles) stretch of white-sand beach, and a population of 56,646, making it the fifth largest city in Latvia.

Oh... My God... We had a perfect dinner at MaMa restaurant, delicious and service was very good, professional too. Restaurant's design is beautiful. The place is small, cozy and worth to visit.

We found the place by accident. While cycling we stopped to study the map. My wife noticed the restsurant and we decided to come again the next day. Glad we did. Excellent food. Good service. Very good menu. Please note that the reataurant is very popular and you might have to wait to be seated and get your food. After all a very positive experience. Would come again.

Although the wait staff was shorthanded on an August Wednesday evening, I eventually ordered and then was served quickly. My Greek salad was fresh and very good. My stew of lamb with white beans was absolutely delicious. Very modestly priced for the quality of food. Pleasant outdoor dining.

Nice selection of pastries and sandwiches available in this station cafe plus coffee, tea and drinks from the bar. It's quaint, rather olde worlde and tiny yet friendly enough. Hubby really enjoyed his pastries and we warmed up here on a blustery and chilly summer day before cycling back to Riga.

Located bit further in Jurmala, but it is a nice place if travelling by car, because huge parking space is near, which normally is not fully completed. The restaurant has view to the sea. Staff is friendly and food was good as well.

This place has got all the traditional foods, not too big portions but take different things to exprience more. The place is located on the Promenade where are the places that position themselves on high end. Idea in the place is to self serve the orders an pay in cash. This means clash when the other places take orders from the table. Price is reasonable, but the attitude is weak. The servers talk something while serving the customers this gives feeling that they are trashing the customers. This is crucial for the service experience Also the leadership is missing for there is no support for the servers e.g. if they make a mistake like I got sauce to my shirt. The poor girl was left alone. Maybe this reflects the culture?

Loved this small coffee house, I guess they have own made cakes as they were soooo fresh and delicious that you want to try it all. Fantastic and professionally made coffees! Very cosy place....we popped there in a rainy day and it was full, were lucky to get 1 table and got in love with with this place!

This is my favorite bakery in Jurmala. Best speķa pīrāgi, the bag of 10 is usually gone before I get home. Always need to buy two bags. There is almost always a line, but it is worth the wait, everything is fresh. I can never buy just what I came for - I always wind up buying delicious things that look too good not to try.
