Step into Hainan Express and reminisce the simplicity of the good old days. We bring back the basics such as all-time favourite toasted breads with kaya, aromatic coffee and authentic Nasi Lemak.
We went for the buffet dinner. What I love most is there is cupuccino, latte, the coffee machine. There's Japanese corner, Western Food Corner, ice cream, ice kachang, etc. Love the satay here. the buffet breakfast is 44.00, lunch 44.00 n dinner 88.00. If you have genting points , you can use to redeem, even if points not enough, you can pay the balance, is like a discount.

This restaurant is located within Gohtong area, nestled among many other eateries. My wife and I decided to give this place a try when we arrived Genting Highlands around lunch time. From the facade, it was nothing out of the ordinary or impressive.
The restaurant only had 1 table of patrons seated outside when we arrived which was quite worrying at first. We went ahead to order a deep fried Nam Yu style chicken wings, whole squid steamed with egg, venison slices fried with ginger and onions & toman fish slices fried with giner and onions.
The fish slices were fresh and had a nice cruchy texture, the venison was tender but the sauce was a tad too salty, the squid was succulent and had a nice bouncy texture to it while the chicken wings came out as the winner. It was crispy on the outside while juicy and succulent on the inside plus it had a flavourful Nam Yu taste to it.
Price was reasonable especially when considering everything in Genting Highlands is either 50% to 100% higher than in KL city centre. Will definitely return again to sample some of the other dishes that they offer.

Went to Genting on a fine weekend and decided to have lunch here. The menu was quite extensive, and everything tasted pretty decent. But what was not good was the cleanliness of the place - the tables had glass tops and you could easily spot rice and other food waste stuck on the edges. The glasses and the plates weren't in the best of the shape too. The service was sloppy and in general it seemed like the restaurant had seen better days. I had a fair bit of indigestion after eating here, so i would surely avoid going again!

Savor delicious dim sum and tasty Hakka cuisine at Good Friends Restaurant. Offering home-cooked dishes such as Home Style Braised Streaky Pork with Preserved Vegetable and Braised Chicken with Chinese Wine in Claypot, this restaurant also offers delectable Almond Bean Curd Jelly topped with longan.
As we are Genting Resort World card member, we can purchased certain menu at special price for card members only. Very cosy and clean environment. Good service and the food was delicous too.

Nice food served here. Price is quite reasonable and quite fast (probably because its not peak period otherwise there is always a very long queue). There is a vegetable dish (cannot remember the name) that comes with lotus roots (sliced), water chestnuts etc and this dish is very good. Their daily soup of the day was delicious. Love their tofu dish - very smooth and tasty.

The Resort’s latest F&B addition, Bubbles & Bites, opened on 4th July 2012. Here, patrons can enjoy casual continental cottage food in a relaxing and rustic ambience. The outlet is committed to serving fresh food, specialising in pizzas and pastas. We also serve miniature bottles of sparkling wines, alcoholic sodas, juices, soft drinks, beers and wines from all around the world.
Had great service here and drinks came in nice ice cooler. Pizzas and burgers plus other snacks. Service quick and very polite it’s very open and clean and the burger was good the pizzas too. More for a snack than a proper meal but lovely nevertheless.
Views to outside too and nice decor. Prosecco was lovely in the small bottles and very chilled. Reasonable too.

The café is part of the property of the adjoining Danau Daun Chalet, which carries a little bit of Balinese ambience.
The café is next to the road side with sufficient parking. It was managed by a couple of ladies.
Furniture are mainly made from recycled wood. I love the outdoor Seating of the slope: overlooking the pool, surrounded by bamboo groove and different species of towering trees. Shady and windy.
The menu consists of mainly Malaysian fares and reasonably priced. I ordered fried rice with omelette and was surprisingly tasty. The Kopi Janda Baik tasted average. There's no cappuccino, desserts so on. No wifi too.
Come on weekdays and you could be the only guest.

Tucked in the middle of the “jungle” you’ll find this gem a welcome break so you can have your espresso based coffee while “Glamping” at Janda Baik.
We stayed 2 nights somewhere and enjoyed the coffee here with the kids. They enjoyed running around, discovering the passion fruit trees, little ducks and different plants around.
We enjoyed the coffee and the wonderful surrounding, rustic wood furniture and the spacious expanse of the cafe.
Highly recommended if you want a decent cuppa while here in the area. Not sure about the food. We had coffee and the caramel bananas.
Would come back again for sure! Bring mosquito spray if you’re afraid of bites. We went during the light rain, which meant fresh air, no mosquitoes and we had the whole place to ourselves!

We found the food tasty, inexpensive and service was fast if somewhat impersonal. The restaurant also sells local biscuits and cooking ingredients at reasonable prices and just outside the restaurant there are vegetable and fruit stalls making this a good one stop centre if you are stopping by Janda Baik.

Located about 10 mins drive above Bukit Tinggi town set in jungle and pine Forests of Janda Baik. Restaurant is located in a large and well maintained wooden structure and has fine views across an immaculate lawn and small pond of the surrounding jungle / pine forest. There is almost a Swiss feel to the place.
However the restaurant itself was a big let down. Menu choice seamed minimal, service was poor and prices were very expensive. I would recommend eating in one of the many excellent restaurants actually in Bukit Tinggi before driving up to this location for just a quick look.
It is popular for outdoor weddings, there was one on the lawn during our visit.
Worth a quick look but don't linger.
