Our Place is alive and well in Kumily. But it has moved to a better, more convenient location. If you want to find it now then head for Lake Road and the Park Gates from Ambadi Junction. After a short walk you should be able to spot the Coffee Inn on the right hand side. Keep walking a few meters and you will see the next building on the left is the new home for OurPlace. The new restaurant will be more spacious and with a few extra tables. This should be very welcome news for all of the many visitors who appreciated the special service offered by Shailee and David. Much as we love Indian food, one always misses the cooking of Europe. One smell or taste of David's bread will have you back in Europe for an instant. Not that you want to go back but simply that the taste bud's feel young again. The food is a touch of home and can vary from day to day, Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all catered for. David and Shailee say that they are opening from 9 am to 10 pm so there should be plenty of opportunities to sample their menu and enjoy the conversation So if Our Place could be better then it is. So here's to the old Our Place and the wonderful memories it left and here's to the new Our Place and the future.

Please note as we have a small and friendly team,it is always advisable to book for a party of Six or more, to avoid too long waiting times. we are closed for between 3 and 7.00
The cafe is very comfortable and easy. Lots of options on the menu. If you've been in India a while and just fancy something that resembles a little closer to home then this may be the place for you. The staff are friendly. You are given the wifi password as soon as you come in. Coffee is good. No push to leave as soon as you've finished.
Very reasonable prices.

I have been to saravana bhawan many times speically in Delhi however to munnar it was first time and first is always memorable.
You would not get better food then here and it's just value for money. I have ordered dosa and it comes out to be jumbo dosa ever I have tested. Food is just not delicious but it's satisfactory.
I have tried something call ghee dosa..and it's again mouthwatering and what. I love the most it was coffee that they served.
When toy enter they serve lukewarm water anf food was served. They keep on serving accompaniments till you finish you food.
For me it was special and surely most recommended places to eat in Munnar.

Abad Copper Castle has a Multi cuisine Restaurant serving Indian, Continental and Chinese dishes. The Restaurant has a magnificent view of the Valley. The Lawn garden is an ideal place for Camp Fire party.
As per my experience this was best restaurant in munnar. I eat in many hotels nearby, but food in Abad was amazing.

We had a fun evening learning how to cook authentic Indian food with Mr Sheril and his family. We were invited into his home where he entertained us with this cooking skills but also got everyone to join in and help with the preparation and cooking. It was fun and relaxed whilst being very informative, plus of course at the end of the evening we got to eat a very enjoyable meal.
If Indian food interests you then book yourself a seat at the table. You will not be diappointed.

We went there for breakfast and had an assortment of items but the best was their vegetable sandwiches. I had two! :) The ambiance resembles an old castle. Nice place for breakfast. Reasonable prices too. Check it out!

They have very good tandoori oven!
So the grilled fish and fish tikka are amazingly fresh coming out smoky from the grill. Really delicious. The cashew and garlic naan also amazing and the fruit juice is fresh juice. They get it when you say "no spicy" or "no sugar" so we finally could enjoy many indian dishes not spicy. Would love to go again!

Checked 'Restaurants near me' online, and Ambadi Restaurant came up, with 4 stars. Walking distance from our hotel, decided to give it a try. Turned out to be a real good choice. The restaurant interiors are really well set up, attractively furnished. Good, prompt service, and great food! The prices are reasonable and is another positive on overall experience. 4 stars !

Located in the main market area, this restaurant offers majorly non vegetarian dishes that too fried versions. Doesn't offer much for vegetarians both in taste and in variety. Ordered veg fried rice but got bleakly tasting and undercooked boiled rice.

We visited here a number of times, and oddly found the food and service far superior on the last night, otherwise I would not have given it four stars (different waiter and cooks).
The food is very nice, and authentic, if not exceptional. They just don't go that extra length to be exceptional. But on the whole, we quite enjoyed eating here, and the atmosphere is very attractive. I liked the South Indian flute music they played, even if they played the same CD every time we visited - you can do that with flute ragas.
On our first visits, we found the table cloths dirty and a disinterest by the staff to clean up well after customer's left. This can be common in India, where you find you have to wipe the last diner's rice grains off the table and sit in front of their stained place mats - surely it's not that difficult to replace a table place mat that's stained after the customers leave? But I would have expected a little more from what is a very atmosphere-conscious restaurant like Spice Garden.
Still, they were minor issues, and in general, we kept returning here because we liked their food and atmosphere. Although they are somewhat overpriced for what they offer, I can definitely recommend it.
