Angelina's is a fine dining restaurant situated near the crescent-shaped shores of Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica. Since 2008, we have been serving locals and visitors of the Playa Flamingo area. We pride ourselves on our attentive service, our globally inspired locally sourced cuisine, and our unique open-air dining room that inspires us every day. Our food is authentic, fresh, and inspired by the bounty of the northwest coastal Guanacaste region. Named after our beloved grandmother, Angelina's represents her Italian roots and heartfelt dedication to her family. We welcome you into ours!
This is a very nice, upscale restaurant and the wonderful staff make it even more special as they have a focus on customer appreciation that is second to none! I had the Flamingo arugula salad & grilled shrimp which was delicious and my husband had the catch of the day which was Mahi-Mahi & crisp romaine salad which he thought was very tasty! Along with drinks and the relaxed atmosphere we had a lovely time at Angelina's and will be back next time we are in here!

Informal dining in a beautiful relaxed environment. Serving super fresh seafood, steaks and vegetarian options. Live dinner music through high season Tuesdays and Saturdays. Breakfast and dinner specials daily (best value in town!) and Happy Hour with signature cocktails and local beers 2x1 Chef Hilda Rodriguez creates signature dishes including cocounut Mahi-Mahi, lobster with mango chili salsa, fresh seared sesame-crust tuna, Thai style coconut curries, and our famous Surf 'n' Surf. We highly recommend Reservations in high season.
Great atmosphere and better food! A troubadour, Darin Talbot, was playing during dinner. Very mellow, easy listening that added to the experience. Often, dinner music is too loud and makes conversation difficult...not so with Darin. Really created a pleasant experience. Waitstaff was very friendly and the food was to die for. Similar to Anders in quality of food but much less expensive. Will go back again!

Open Monday To Saturday, From 5 To 10 Pm If you crave pizza, pasta, and other Italian inspired creations while in Playa Grande, look no further than Cafe del Pueblo. From signature sauces, homemade pasta, and fresh ingredient pizza, Cafe del Pueblo will certainly satisfy you Italian cuisine hankering while in Costa Rica. Pair your pasta with the local seafood selection and you mouth will insist you ask for more. The restaurant atmosphere is small, but inviting, offering diners tables under the shade of a natural, tropical landscape.
My friends and I ate here while on vacation... it was a 25 min drive from our condo and a bit dark and scary to get to but once we found it and had dinner there it was soooo worth it. Their Bolognese sauce is...MoreWe are really glad you loved the spaghetti and you recommend our restaurant. Merci beaucoup ;)

Punto Tranquillo (PT) started by a pillar of the community, Michael, has changed hands a few times but from its humble beginnings as a Soda (Costa Rican traditional fast food restaurant) it has become the place to go when you are craving the local food...MoreThank you so much for your message. Restaurant Estero Azul is located near Flamingo on your way to Potrero. Before you turn right at the beach at Restaurant Plemar keep on going straight all way to the back of the road (about 100m). You'll find a fisherman's house with a small eating place next to the beach. Here they'll serve you the catch of the day without paying Flamingo prices. This google search (El Estero Azul Playa Flamingo) has little information but at least lets you know it's legit. GREAT PLACE!
Estero Azul is an amazing place for a simple but delicious breakfast on the beach or for fresh shrimp and avacado salad with a cold beverage at lunch Staff is friendly and accommodating and the setting is perfecto!

We offer a rustic ranch style evening that's private & exclusive. We specialize in small groups & also do special events for families & friends. ( What we do, is BBQ just for u.) The BBQ is outside in " the shack "under the stars, people relax in the Cafe & Saloon, which is a unique rustic wood design. The best way to descibe the set up is " Costa Rican cowboy Saloon with a surfer twist."We make every evening special & unique ! It is Reservations only. Please book in advance. We start at 7 pm & BBQ the best local assorted meats, lomo, ribs, pork, steak, chorizo, ranch chicken & veggies. Then finish the evening with a tropical desert that's always a surprise, followed by a tropical blended some thing good. We start BBQ ing at 7pm. & The food is served no later than 7.30 Pm.We suggest people arrive at 6.30-7 Pm.The good news we have a new paved road so it's a quick trip from tamarindo. The BBQ dinners we do are a feast, so it's very unlikely u will leave hungry.See u soon & Pura Vida !
I was very fortunate to get added as a last minute single onto a group for 4 lovely Canadians for the zip lining trip which was a real buzz and a great experience.
Having the opportunity to see the land and howler monkeys on the way to the summit was great and our 2 guides were funny and very chatty which really relaxed the mood for those that were nervous.
If i recall correctly there were 9 zip lines in total some bigger and slightly scarier than the others but overall very good for the whole family and I would very much recommend doing it for anyone!
I was very lucky to to be invited to stay for the BBQ afterwards with the group I was with and this was by far the best BBQ I have ever experienced and ive had a few in my time!
Alex Urbaniak the owner from the moment he picked me up from from my hotel to dropping me back after a few mojitos was a great guy and i'm really excited for him and the team with what they are planning at the ranch and the whole evolution of their plans to make this a real go to experience not just for the zip lining, horse trekking and the BBQ of course but for the other entertainment ideas they will be adding in time.
Sometimes you go on these trips and think people are just nice because its their job to be at Black Stallion you know these guys are as genuine as can be and I cant recommend this enough! Trust me for a Brit to rave about something like this it has to be good so all brits out there looking at this DO IT!
Alex I will be back brother and cheers for the chat and mojito's at Panga on the way back!

El Huerto is a Mediterranean Fusion style restaurant based in the tranquil national park Marino Las Bualas, famous for its wood-oven Pizzas. Its suitable for large groups, romantic dining, children and special occasions. We also serve fresh fish, tenderloin steaks, salads and pastas, cocktails and personally selected wines.
Not sure if we were between designated servers or what, but we had to ask for service several times. Once ordered, and watching tables come in afterwards getting served their meals, we had to again ask about the food. Our grilled Octopus salad appetizer was really great, but the vegetarian pizza was devoid of flavor. We realized after the first few bites that they didn't remember to put cheese on it despite specifically asking. There were no spices, no other flavors. When we pointed out that there was no pizza, they took the partially eaten pizza, added cheese and partially melted it. No bueno.

A casual beach restaurant offering gourmet local cuisine at very reasonable prices. Feet in the sand outside or covered area. Gorgeous sunset view or watch the waves any time of day. Open for lunch and dinner. Visa and Master card accepted. We close annually from September to November for the rainy season.
If you're looking for a more commercial beach (still not crowded) but you can rent chairs and a tent/shade, Playa Flamingo is the place.
Grab a drink (in a coconut!) and some yummy fish tacos at Coco Loco! Perfect beach bar/restaurant.

We took a cab here from the Tamarindo Diria due to uneven walking paths/obstacles and the dark. We made a reservation the evening before.
Pangas is in a very spacious setting overlooking the water. It had attractive lighting and a pleasant atmosphere. The menu offered a good variety of choices. We were a group of six, and each ordered a different item. Four of the six were pleased with their meal. Fish tended to be overdone and a bit dry.
Unfortunately, our dining experience was spoiled by our waiter. He was not in the least personable or welcoming, and was quite rude with an interaction. I guess he was having a bad night. Because of this, we would not return again.
This was the only restaurant in the Tamarindo area where we experienced this attitude.

Good portions and fair service. This is where the locals eat. We enjoyed their breakfast/brunch and would go back.
