Set in a converted Victorian butchers shop, Le Salon Prive brings classic French cuisine to the leafy London suburb of St Margarets, Twickenham. A homely dining room swirled with relaxed Parisian style features intricate stained glass windows, wicker brasserie furnishings and rustic brickwork, while the seasonally changing menu offers French staples alongside elegant fine dining dishes.
Unknown to me this was the venue of my companions wedding meal 35 years ago. Although the restaurant has changed hands (many times?) The ambience remains the same. Careful restoration kept many features including stained glass windows. Indeed there are photos on wall celebrating filming of a Poirot episode with David Suchet. This French Bistrot style is carried over into the food. We enjoyed a three course meal courtesy of a travel zoo voucher. A restricted choice but we all found something we liked. Food was well cooked and presented and portions were good for this fine dining style. Out of Twickenham centre but very convenient for local station only a few minutes stroll. Will return again- definetly before another 35 years!!

We took our daughters to Chez Lindsay for an early evening meal. The food is Breton - perfect for family eating. The service is pitched just right attentive without being invasive. The girls felt grown-up but spoiled. They loved the crepes and sorbets. We enjoyed fish and crepes suzette. Well worth a visit if you are bored with corporate consistency.

A local institution - no menu, multi course meal, always popular. Don't bother bringing vegetarians. But a most enjoyable and tasty evening for omnivores, albeit a little on the pricey side. Expect to be surrounding by groups celebrating birthdays, and shell out around £75 a head inc. some wine. You won't leave hungry, and you'll get to see a pig's head with an apple in the mouth at your table - a dash of Henry VIII!

Named in retrospect and translated as the "Beautiful Era", our inspiration for this restaurant emerged from the period in European social history during the late 19th century that lasted until World War,It became recognised as the "golden age" - a time when new technologies and medical discoveries were found and when politics, art and literature underwent radical transformation. In Paris, restaurants achieved a new splendour and cachet for one to parade and where fashion began to move in seasonal cycles. In the culinary sense this period is enormously relevant to our philosophy of progression, optimism and very modern. We would like to think this beautiful era is strongly characterised by our cooking which is rarely serious yet rooted in classical French cuisine and have extended our repertoire to embrace some exciting 'outward looking' far eastern variations.
Private room for 16 of us fantastic food and good wine.
I thought the Bellini & canapés reception was great.
Our main course of roasted loon of rabbit wrapped in iberico ham with flamed langoustines was exceptional.
Service was of the highest order.
Overall must go back.

Opened in March 2009, Masaniello brings you traditional and authentic Italian cousin with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In 2012 has been awarded from the Italian Chamber of commerce as Quality Approved Italian restaurants in the World
We went for dinner on Saturday evening. We shared starters- all delicious but particularly would recommend the grilled octopus. Main courses were steak, lemon sole, veal and a pizza. All of us were happy with our choices. The service was friendly as always. Definitely the best Italian restaurant in the area.
