We were walking through town looking for a bite to eat and because of the location, thought we would see how the place was. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside...lots to look at going by. Service was fast and friendly. Wife had a shrimp open face Sandwich and I had the smoked salmon open face Sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious. Great presentation and fresh ingredients. We enjoyed it so much, we went back the next day. Only thing I noticed was I believe they spoiled me the first day because there was a fair amount more smoked salmon on my first Sandwich than on the next day's but still a generous amount. Haven't eaten at that many places while in town but this was the best for us. Highly recommended if in the area.

A small restaurant offering takeaways in Hirtshals. Not far from the port. They offered Burgers, Chicken nuggets, fries etc. and chinese food. We took the nuggets for the boys and chinese food for ourselves. The food was freshly cooked and was good. Dont go there for ambience, style, a formal evening etc. its a great place for a decent quick bite. There is no table service. You pick up the food at the counter.

This is a very pleasant restaurant. An excellent complementary salad bar. Portions of dishes were very generous. I went against the helpful waitress's recommendation in over-ordering but it all tasted great and they gladly packaged the leftovers for us to take away. The food reminded me of genuine Turkish cuisine: quite authentic to my recollection. Price was great compared to Norway also! We would return with the family.

We went inside the restaurant. Walked around for 5 minutes without spotting any staff. We finally sat down at a table, and a couple of minutes later a waiter came. He saw us, but just hurried away. Not even a hello... as he came back, and tried to pass us again, we had to stop him and ask if it was ok that we sat there and ask for menues. There were hardly People in the restaurant, but only one waiter working in an evening is not good enough. The Whole meal was just a lot of waiting and irritation. The food was ok, but the restaurant was crappy and dirty. The restrooms had a big bathing towel to dry Your hands, and it was not a fresh towel...Nice view from the restaurant though

The owner is the chef and he seems to be great chef, the food tastes great, the Norwegian lobster is langoustines, but really fresh und tastes lovely, the wine list us a delight, just make sure that the whites are chilled and the great reds aren't too warm, definitely worth to eat there

Cafe and takeaway down by the harbour. Had a large portion of breaded plaice and chips, freshly cooked and served piping hot. Just the job after exploring the lighthouse, the bunker museum, sand dunes and beach on a breezy October day. Good friendly service.

Food at this place is something you must experience....
The appetizers are excitingly fresh and non traditional.
Whether it is the lobster & cod, or the thin sliced duck, the scallops are to die for. Or even any of the many others you will not be disappointed.
The main dish was grass fed beef with small potato`s baked in the oven and very good. The dessert was creme brulee finished at the table with a flame torch.
The wine list is small but a great selection.
You will enjoy.

All kind of different pizza kebab and sandwichs for take away. Summer open 1/4 - 30/9 am 11.00 - 22.00 pm Winter open 1/10 - 31/3 am 15.00 - 21.00 pm
Ny pizzarestaurant i Tornby.
Men god smag uanset.

Our first visit to the charming town of Hirtshals in Denmark.
We arrived mid afternoon and were looking around the harbour and the small town when we came across this small restaurant.
First appearances it looked like a former cottage possibly used by fishermen.
The menu that was posted outside was very short with only a few choices but the more we looked at it we realised that we would like to try every one of the dishes listed.
It is small and does not have many covers and therefore it is probably best to reserve a table.
We went inside and we're very pleasantly surprised to find what a delightful restaurant it was. Our reservation was made.
On arrival in the evening the greeting was just as pleasant as earlier in the day. A very nice window table had been reserved for us.
The table layout was immaculate and extremely well presented. Now came the problem with the menu, as mentioned earlier the dishes are few in number but all of them were appealing. In the end all four of us chose a different dish for mains.
I chose the tenderloin with a black pepper sauce. I have been fortunate to have been able to eat in restaurants all over the world and I love black pepper sauce.
I can truly say that without any doubt at all this was the best pepper sauce I have ever had. It complimented the tenderloin very very well.
I appreciate that this praise of the meal may seem over the top but it is not. It really was that good.
