Warmly greeted on entering the restaurant which was very busy even at 6pm on a Sunday.Decided to try the Indonesian rijsttafel(rice table) and was really impressed with the quality and quantity of the food provided and at a price of €21.50 each, tremendous value! Starter of chicken soup arrived quickly after ordering and was lovely. The main course of 9 different dishes arrived in plenty of time. We had a carafe of the Rose wine which was excellent and great value at €9.The staff were really attentive and really knew what they were doing, great professional service. We watched other diners partaking in the chinese menu which looked just as delicious as the indonesian one! This is a top restaurant and one i would love to try again, even if it required a detour!

Clasic Italian Restaurant. From Pizza to Pasta, from Oysters to Lobster. Our Sicilian Chef prepares it all
Been here many times eating pizza. Place is always crowded, so a Reservations is needed! The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Staff is very kind. Menu is large, italian and sicilian dishes. Pizza's are great! Many choices also veggie ones. I can really recommend this place!

Italian lunchroom, restaurant and wine bar. High tea, high wine. Furthermore a shopping part with Italian Ice, chocolates, coffee and tea products, presents, liquours and Italian wines.
Il Borgo offers mostly Italian lunch items, various types of coffee and tea, ice cream and chocolate. We had a dish for two with various food items, like shrimp, olives and carpaccio. In general it was very good, and we regularly visit Il Borgo.

We had here dinner for two, the price was 25.50 euros per person for 2.5h dinner.
You can order per tablet, rather new concept for us and rather unpersonal.
Mostly of the small dishes were tasteful.
The opportunity of this restaurant is that you can used a variety of oriental dishes at the same moment: sushi's, noodle, rice, soup, ...

I've been to this restaurant several times now. We had the so called 'steentjesmenu'. All you can eat. Different small portions of food: starters, mains and desserts. For some you have to pay an extra fee. All the dishes do come with a lot of salad every time, unfortunately.. They should reduce this. We also had a party there in December last year. We had a 5 dinner course. Food was well cooked and all fresh. Several interesting dishes like champagne drinks with peach cream. Very delicious. They also kept coming with drinks, well organized. Atmosphere of the restaurant is good. Can recommend this one!

I visited Helmond on a business trip with 2 colleagues and we chose to eat at De Waard because whilst the rest of the town was empty, this restaurant was full, by the end of the evening we knew why.
On ordering the menu was in Dutch and a colleague was translating for me. Due to a translation glitch, I ordered a starter that I wouldn't normally (raw beef) and unfortunately I could not eat it. On seeing that I had not touched my starter the owner of the restaurant came over to make sure all was ok and I explained that it was my fault. I was taken aback when she offered to fetch me some soup instead, even though it was my fault for ordering something I couldn't eat.
Throughout the meal, the staff came to check we were ok for drinks with a very friendly manner.
I had a beef steak to for my main meal, and I have to say that it is the best meal I have had for a long time. I ordered the steak well done and it was cooked to perfection, with plenty of vegetables.
A selection of cheese for desert and the staff went through what cheeses were on the plate a small but pleasant touch.
I can not praise this restaurant enough for the service they provided and the standard of food they produced. I recommend this establishment thoroughly.

Just got back from a visit to this restaurant. Heard some good reviews so just to try we had some excellent food in this really small and not nice looking restaurant. The food however made this visit a really excellent experience.
I can't imagine that we were the only visitors with food like this. Ok the ambiance is not great and is surely part of a visit. But for us the experience was great and we wil come back within the next couple of weeks.
For people who like asian food: don't go to a mediocre chinese but try this food. You will not regret it.

De Schevelingse in-Loop landelijk gelegen met uitzicht op de Helmondse golfbaan. Een Tapperij-Restaurant waar gezeligheid en kwaliteit hoog in het vaandel staat
It's an all you can eat restaurant which doesn't look like an all you can eat restaurant. And that's good! I was quite amazed by the broad scale of the menu that incorporated a lot of meats and fishes and some more exotic than others.

We visited on a cold January lunch time and enjoyed a warming meal of traditional Dutch cuisine, served politely by friendly and inclusive staff. The food was hot, tasty and great value for money, we'd definitely dine there again and recommend other do the same.

Based as it's name suggests in an old chocolate factory by the canal, this is now a very good leisure venue. It has cinemas, restaurants, live music & theatre venues and some small business'es and small specialist shops. Plenty of free parking on site. Good selection of local Dutch food in the cafe/restaurant and bar.
