Ioesco translates as ‘I am going out’, a fittingly momentous title for one of Gold Coast’s premier Italian restaurants, Ioesco - Cafe Cucina Bar. The likes of Gordon Ramsay have graced Ioesco’s stylish dining room, where sparkling chandeliers, a marble bar and water views are tempered by a relaxed vibe and alfresco Seating in the tranquil Sanctuary Cove surrounds. Passionate and knowledgeable staff work the floor delivering contemporary interpretations of classic Napoli cuisine that, happily, don’t compromise on size or quality. Moreish starters such as duck breast with Marsala mushroom cream sauce offer perfect preludes to mains like Barossa chicken breast with king prawns, avocado and garlic brandy cream sauce as well as spinach and buffalo ricotta ravioli with Napoli cream sauce.
Stunning decor with great ambiance. Lovely tables with luxurious leather seats. As a vegetarian I enjoyed a divine wild mushroom rocket salad starter which was beautiful with goats feta and a truffle balsamic. For main I was blown away by tortellini Gorgonzola with walnut rocket cream sauce. Very rich in flavour which I loved! My husband said the limone veal was amazing and our friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. Staff and hosts were very attentive, polite and eager to please. It is really a very special place for dinner. It may be our new favourite.

Don Angelo's is one of the hidden treasures of the Gold Coast. Situated in Oxenford, this fully licensed Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria has been renowned for its authentic healthy stone baked pizzas, beautiful Mediterranean style food and the cosy warm and friendly alfresco style dining ambiance. Our extensive menu can be viewed on our website and is also offered as take away. Our pastas are wholesome and sauces individually made which allows for optional changes to meet your palate and guaranteed freshness with each meal . Our service is exceptional and the atmosphere is exactly how a traditional Italian restaurant should be - lots of laughing, lots of eating and customers being treated like they are visitors in our home. You can choose to sit inside or out (depending on availability) and now that the inside has been fully renovated, it also offers a traditional feel of Italy. Children are welcome and are made feel part of the ambiance or our restaurant Our main opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm till late. Bookings are strongly advised and large groups are able to be catered for. Reservations can be made by phone or by email anytime. We are also able to hold private functions 7 days a week. Make the time to come and experience our restaurant, you won't be disappointed!
We have just moved to the area and having a child free night wanted to pop out for a bite to eat that was not a tavern and we were very pleasantly surprised. Tucked away off the main road is this delightful Italian restaurant.
The menu has something for everyone. It is not just a pizza place.
Everyone of the staff were wonderful and friendly and the food was delicious!! I had the chicken risotto and Oh My Word!! It was that good I almost popped trying to eat it all!!
Hubby had the homemade tiramisu that almost put me in a food coma!! Intervention was called for and our delightful waitress kindly interviened .
We will certainly be going back there and taking friends.
Don't delay go soon!!!

Helensvale Plaza shopping centre
This small cake and coffee shop has beautiful European style food from cakes to hot food. The food is beautifully presented, tasted extremely fresh and the cakes were to die for with their flavour, freshness and presentation. The staff were friendly and helpful. Seating outside is pleasant and has shaded areas for warm sunny days when you don't want to sit in the sun. The prices were reasonable. You can also buy food to take away from whole cakes to deli foods.

We last had Chinese at Sanctuary Cove & was very expensive:
Being closed Tuesday we tried this Chinese down the road at Hope Island.
Small Restaurant but impressed with the Food. Nice & the Service was good.
1/2 the Price of Sanctuary Cove for a Nice Dinner; we were all happy.
Will be coming back.

Horrible horrible buffet. Probably the worst meal I have had in a long time. Buffet food at $30/ph with refill cups for kids. This is why SIZZLER is dead in the southern states. The selection is so small and so un-delicious. The teenagers didn't like it and the place is just trashy. Have a look at the clientele..should've walked out. The barman dropped glasses three times. A depressing experience.

Ordered food to pick up and eat at home. First time eating here as we have only recently moved to the area. We were not disappointed. Everything we had was delicious and really tasty. Had a lamb dish we hadn't heard of before and it was so nice (think it was called Do Pyazo) - perfect amount of chili heat in it. Also had butter chicken which was yum. All entrees were good as well. Really don't have anything bad to say about the food. Can't wait to eat there again.

Not too bad. Phoned to book thinking we had too. Arrived at the time we booked to find there was hardly anyone there. Ordered and our first dish was beautiful. Green papaya salad. Followed by green curry and garlic rice. Beautiful again but way way too much sugar in the curry. Not necessary guys. I have eaten Thai green curry all over the world and have never experienced such a sweet green curry. I’d come back but I would have to insist ‘no sugar ‘ . Having said that the flavours were good.

My wife and I found ourselves at the Arundel Tavern unexpectedly last Saturday night after the restaurant we had planned to visit was booked out.
What a find! We were seated quite late in BJ's by a very attentive waitress, we chose a bottle of wine of a good wine list for a pub, the price was reasonable as well.
We had two main courses which were both very good and what we thought was good value. The meals were defiantly a step up from the usual pub grub.
If we are in the area again I would not hesitate going to BJ's again.

A little restaurant that is a buzz of activity.. Traditional cooks serving large inflow of pre-ordered pickups and casual callers. Their reputation goes before them. Make sure you book if you want to sit down and enjoy being served.
Restaurant a little cramped for large parties but owners will do their best to accommodate you.
We have noticed that meal sizes have become a little smaller over a period of time.
