This is hospitality perfection. A dedicated chef and a dedicated host and their team.
Great food combined with great wines.
Fantastic starter with goose liver, perfect intermediate course of codd with risotto of "Alkmaarse" groats and a perfect maincourse of fillet of lamb.
Never a (culinairy) dull moment.

This restaurant is an absolute must in Beverwijk. Friendly ambience and staff.
The menu is regularly changing and the pricing is always very moderate, nice wines and good draft beers.
We go there with the whole family and always enjoy it.
During the weeknd hoewever reserving a table is an absolute must as it is always packed.

Looking for a place to have dinner on the easter Sunday, Berger's had a table available. Reservation was done quickly and the service staff was very friendly and welcoming. we chose the 3 course menu which was very tastfulle. cold starter with meat and fish, than a fillet of lamb and some icecream to finish. yummie. prices are more then reasonable. they also offer a tapas menu which looked good on the table next to us. a defenitive give it a try when you are somewhere around.

We had dinner with 10 adults on Saturday 28 March. Because of the size of our group we were offered the three-course dinner (€35 per person) Everyone was happy with the meals. Value for money was ok. Staff were very pleasant and explained meals and ingredients well (both in English and Dutch). All in all very pleasant evening.

Situated near lake Uitgeest, Schippersrijk is a nice restaurant decorated with boat and naval attributes. The bigger part of the restaurant has glass walls, what gives you a nice view on the lake and nearby marina. The staff is friendly and the food spot on. If the weather is fine, outside Seating is lovely though sometimes a little windy.

A friend took me here a couple of days ago and I was pleasantly surprised. After all, it is in...Heemskerk. :)
I had the tournedos (excellent) and the soup to start (also excellent). The service is very attentive, and the round room exudes warmth and comfort.
It wasn't a life-changing meal. But I was tired after an overnight flight, and half-way through the meal I started to feel human again. I'd definitely return, and I recommend this place if you're in the area.
It's not cheap but the mains come with tons of sides, and it's worth every penny.

A fun hike thru the preserve leads you to a tower on the highest part of the preserve - remember, elevation is not a tall number in The Netherlands. A tremendous view of the countryside and seaside, including the wind farm of the coast. Then you stop at the Gasterij Kruisberg for a rest and a meal. The food and drink are excellent, with quick service to your outdoor table. A great hunter's trophy wall, if interested. A mini farm for the kids and parents alike - Highland calves, bunnies, chicks, burros, etc. Nature tours are available. The owner loves to fish in Scotland and Alaska, so the food has to be good. The Highlanderburger is almost too big to eat - you have to really squish it down to fit in your mouth. A great, educational, and filling morning or afternoon trip.

heerlijk ijs, maakt niet uit welke smaak je kiest, alles is lekker. Bij mooi weer is het terras wel snel gevuld en zit je op de hoek van een drukke straat. Locatie is jammer.

Blond is situated near the Rijksstraatweg, rather busy but the Terrace is not noisy at all.
You can sit outside or inside, fresh looking chairs, outside with nice pillows.
We entered for lunch and it was surprising good!
The ‘Lekker Blond’ concept has a choice of 3 different things and a little cup of homemade soup. Tasty, all fresh, nice salad, 9 points!
The Carpaccico salad even better, 9.5 points!
Sandwich old cheese and Sandwich smoked chicken, 8 points but very nice.
The Blond burger was big enough, good meat and bread, so 9 points again.
Staff was young and friendly and the 2 young girls did not keep us waiting on the Terrace with many people ordering. Good organization too.
The april 10th reviewer must have had a bad day (or the kitchen staff....)!

This is a cafe/restaurant that is not frequently reached by tourists, in fact when we arrived the didn't even have the menus in English - and that's a positive thing - but the waitresses knew English very well. The typical food served is very nice, we took a soup and grilled meat. Fair prices.
