Visited Achari latst night and we were quite surprised that it was as busy a it was.
We were initially sat at a tiny table even though there were 2 of us with a baby in a car seat.
We were then moved to another table and were told that we couldn't keep our baby on the floor because the food tray will be passing by. We were then moved to a bigger table which was a bit out of the way.
We ordered drinks followed by drinks.
Ordered prawn puree and chicken tikka as starters.
The Prawn puree was nice but not as good as others I've had. The chicken tikka was just 4 small slices of chicken. Though nice the portion was tiny.
For mains we ordered chicken kebabs, tandoori fish, and prawn dhansak with boiled rice.
The chicken kebabs were nice enough but the fish was pointless. It cooked in some strange spices that made it taste nothing like fish and looked completely different to fish. Very disappointing.
The prawn dhansak was nice but the sauce was a lot thicker than I expected.
The service was fantastic, seeing as how busy it was. It did take a while to get our food but that was due to the amount of diners there.

Named in retrospect and translated as the "Beautiful Era", our inspiration for this restaurant emerged from the period in European social history during the late 19th century that lasted until World War,It became recognised as the "golden age" - a time when new technologies and medical discoveries were found and when politics, art and literature underwent radical transformation. In Paris, restaurants achieved a new splendour and cachet for one to parade and where fashion began to move in seasonal cycles. In the culinary sense this period is enormously relevant to our philosophy of progression, optimism and very modern. We would like to think this beautiful era is strongly characterised by our cooking which is rarely serious yet rooted in classical French cuisine and have extended our repertoire to embrace some exciting 'outward looking' far eastern variations.
Private room for 16 of us fantastic food and good wine.
I thought the Bellini & canapés reception was great.
Our main course of roasted loon of rabbit wrapped in iberico ham with flamed langoustines was exceptional.
Service was of the highest order.
Overall must go back.

This posh restaurant is a hit with international travellers and businesses who are familiar with the airport scene. Zayani boasts, an impressive sculpted ceiling and plum accents. Ideal for parties and corporate events. Highlights from the menu include the salmon tandoori marinated for four hours and roasted in the clay oven in special spices; the popular chicken tikka massala made with almonds, coconut and yoghurt; and the spinach and lamb curry with plenty of garlic.
First time at restaurant. Recommend on the web site from the Renaissance Hotel. Approx 10 minutes s drive away.
Excellent food, good warm and friendly service. Nice, freshly made papadoms and a great chutney selection- nice to have coconut on it also.
Very nice chicken bhunna and also gobo. Good sized, freshly made naan bread.
Very reasonable prices for the quality of food.
Looks like a bunch of regulars having dinner. All greeted and welcomed back.

This place was quite a distance from the bustling station area but we were glad to be there for lunch. We were the only people for the entire afternoon so it was a bit of a wait having the chef prepare food for us only.
We had 3 curries; a lamb vindoloo which got us hot and sweaty from the chilli, a vegetable korma which was slightly sweeter than I hoped for and a paneer tikka masala dish choc a bloc with cheese slices. 2 thin slices of naan were too much for us because we lapped up all the curry sauce which could jolly well be a meal by itself. All in all, the food was enjoyable.
I did not give it 5 stars because the one of the sauces tasted like Thai chilli sauce which I thought was a cheat.Staff was friendly though service was slow.
I was heartened to know they also do a takeaway which meant I can have the same meal in the warm comfort of my hotel room. All I needed was to order my meal online or by phone and it will get delivered to the hotel. Neat!

There are a few new restaurants in Southall Broadway and we selected this fairly randomly partly based on decor. The restaurant was not very busy when we walked in but soon filled up.
We were greeted and seated hospitably and our waiter was patient, accommodating and friendly and helpful. These are exactly the kinds of qualities one wants when eating out but sadly are all too infrequent. It is refreshing to see these in this place.
Our waiter helped us select the dishes, and even told us when we may be ordering too much.
For the starters, the chapli kabab was excellent. The shish kabab was also good, the chicken kabab was a little dry though
The mains were good, with my favourite being the aloo saag. Absolutely delicious. There was a little too much oil in the other chicken dish we had though.
The falooda was not bad but could have been better kulfi, which seemed it had been made with skimmed milk.
Overall, though, I really enjoyed our meal and I would definitely recommend this. It's one of the best Pakistani restaurants out there (contrast this with my Lahore Karahi review).

A Kaniz was dedicated to serving the Roysls during the era of Mughals, Maharajah s and Nawabs. Here at Kaniz Restaurant, we endeavour to provide you with the traditional hospitality. We provide authentic, home cooked style cuisine, with the special eastern touch that emphasis the flavour of East meets West.
Visited here with some work colleagues when we were attending a conference at Heathrow and staying at the nearby Thistle hotel. Hotel food not being our thing, we ventured down the road 10 minutes to this place.
We arrived around 8.30 and there were quite a few diners already in but the pleasant gent who greeted us at the door had us seated in seconds.
This is a deceptive palace in terms of size insofar as it is a little bigger than it looks being a relatively small frontage but it goes back a decent way.
The restaurant is tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished and clearly very well maintained.
A drinks order was taken in a few moments and menus brought to the table.
The menu was nicely varied with a good range of specialities and reasonably priced given the location.
The drinks order was taken and the drinks arrived promptly. I decided to go "off piste" and asked if they would do me one of my favourites - keema pea and potato curry - which our waiter said was no problem at all. I went for mushroom rice and an onion kulcha as sides and we had a stack of poppadoms and some excellent fresh chutneys/ pickles/ raita to start.
The food arrived in very respectable time and was without exception in our opinion all excellent.
Overall, a pleasant atmosphere, very good polite and friendly service and excellent food. Definitely a place I will eat at again if we find ourselves at another business meet in the locality.
