I was not familiar with the restaurant or the concept Tribute to Claudia which happened to be the 10th anniversary and apparently the last of its kind. This is a two Michelin star restaurant since 1999 run by an Austrian chef. Housed inside a small hotel in a very nice location, it offers a good experience for the eyes and taste buds as well. Had a great experience with a bunch of chefs with one to three Michelin stars from various countries flying in to do a single dish each. I wish I knew about this concept beforehand as I have enjoyed the evening very much. I think I need to try it on a regular day as well next time. Well done!

Decorated in a charmingly rustic style with hints here and there of the Algarve's nautical past, the O MARINHEIRO Restaurant, at Sesmarias in Albufeira, was founded over a decade ago and since then has enjoyed an excellent reputation throughout the region. The menu comprises a delicious selection of national and international dishes; all prepared using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and includes a children's selection for our younger guests. Our friendly multilingual staff invites you to begin your evening with a drink at our well-stocked bar whilst you browse our menu or make your selection from our specialities of the day.Our "garrafeira" is richly supplied with many good Portuguese wines and the waiters will be more than happy to assist you in choosing the most appropriate to accompany your meal.Adjacent to the main dining area of the restaurant there is a delightful shady garden Terrace, an air-conditioned winter-garden and a playground for the children.
Marinheiro is still over the years one the best restaurants in the whole Algarve! Tasty, fresh, typical Portuguese food, with good quality service and very comfortable atmosphere. Give a try if you are in the area, I’m sure after trying you will be tempted to repeat !

We have been visiting the area for over 25 years and Scooby's is an institution. This was our first visit since the makeover and what a change. The place is very smart with outdoor booths and a smart new outdoor bar. The work has been carried out to a very high standard and it is very impressive.
We did love the old place and we feel it does lose the old character of the place that we loved however .... things move on and Scooby has taken the place forward more than a few steps and now has more capacity and a great environment.
We wish him well and look forward to visiting again in the future

The Chicken King Open Every Day! At the heart of Algarve, one of the pioneers of the famous «Chicken a la Guia». We are located in a privileged area. Enjoy our splendid dining rooms and book them for your Festive Events. We have two Dining Rooms, one on the ground floor with a Seating capacity of 380, and the other one on the 1st floor with capacity for 200 seats. Come and see for yourself! If you have already tasted, ask for more... ...and do not accept imitations!
This restaurant is massive, lots of tables and waiters scurrying around bearing trays of chicken chips and salad. The chicken Piri Piri is good, though make sure you tell the waiter you want piri piri on your chicken, some visitors find it a bit too spicy. Its good value, fast service, noisy and enjoyable. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Is it the best Piri Piri chicken in the Algarve, no, but it’s very good.

This restaurant is huge. It has a medium size frontage but it is extremely lengthy inside.
Very clean, well presented and you could have a very large group in there without any problem. Waiters spoke good English.
There were 6 of us dining this night after we had met up with friends following the Cliff Richard 'Signing'. At the time of our arrival there were very few people in the restaurant but quite a few turned up whilst we were there.
The menu offered a variety of food which certainly suited my part. The food was served in a good time and all the meals were well presented and hot.
The only problem we all had was the serving of bread, salad, olives and cheese etc which was placed on the table without us asking. We did not eat all of this and some of the food was not touched. However, we were still charged 18.5 Euros. Something I will be aware of if I visit again or at other restaurants.

Again, visited Martinhos last night, wife and I worked it out we been coming here for 14/15 years, I think we have had all the menu options in that time, and it's all brilliant
Last night a starter of clams, followed by the best piri piri chicken - which is a claim in itself in the Algarve.
If your passing, or fancy a change, this is a typical Portuguese churrasquei and well worth a visit
Sir Martinho - we salute you!

Ate here for the first time with family who had eaten here many times before. The pri pri chicken just fell of the bone, the tomato salad was delicious, the chips were good, the wine we ordered was a house red, that was delicious which cost €10. This restaurant is where the locals eat which I love, I love the charm the no frills attitude ok it has paper tablecloths but you're gonna get messy!!!!! Keep your Nandos I'm going to Ramires.

They have refurbished and it looks really nice. Food is as good as ever and we visit regularly. It is difficult to get a table in the summer so go early!! You can't book so first come first served. There is a nice bar over the road where you can wait for a table if necessary.

On March 30th, 1995 São Domingos restaurant was born in Galé, Albufeira.Domingos Almeida had the dream of having a restaurant and Maria da Conceição accompanied him on this project of a lifetime. They bought a plot ofland for 2,000€ (a small fortune in April 1980) and with great effort built a house for the family. In their family home, a villa with swimming pool, this adventure began. They started by adapting the garage but quickly becames too small for the lovers of good food in this new restaurant. After the garage, the restaurant has expanded to the living room of the villa and other spaces until only remain the bedrooms.Currently the restaurant São Domingos has four rooms, one private, and one Terrace to enjoy, with all conditions, the fine dishes of this cuisine of knowledge and passion.Although no longer a family house, São Domingos became the "home" for many visitors of this Algarve area, which recognize a familiar space in this restaurant where cameback again and again, is always a joy, pleasure and satisfaction of taste. In the last decade, Rafael, the eldest son of the couple São e Domingos, has contributed with their talent and wisdom, so that the restaurant of his parents is one of the best in the Algarve. First time we visited this Restaurant, and we found it based on TripAdvisor opinions.
Private parking (quite important in peak season...) we booked a table for a small group (birthday of one us).
On arrival, we, immedialty noticed that is not so wide (two rooms) with a background chill-out music that fits perfectly in a minimalist ambiance, where the main decor motif are bottles of wine on the walls.
After looking at the menu, you can notice that the global choice is not so wide, but, carefull chosen (really good wine choice) and cooked, as we could check later on, in what concerns to fish (really fresh fish) or meat (tender meat), not mentioning the delicious desserts, both at a really good level and fairly priced.
You can notice that the owner as well as the staff are truly concerned about your well being: they will make your best sugestions and will make sure that everything is according to your best expectations.
After being told that it was the birthday of one us (still don´t know wo was the "snitch"..) we were surprised by a discreet offer of a small birthday cake.
Quite a good surprise. Definitely a place to be back.
I do recommend it.

Been to Atlantico many times over the years. Loved it and Aurelio and staff were great. Always had a welcome and the food was always brilliant.
So we went to the revamped Atlantico and were not disappointed. Good welcome and the place has been spruced up but not changed too much. Menus have changed as you'd expect. We shared a huge sea bass which was the best sea bass we'd ever had. It was beautiful and the waiter took the bones out etc in front of us at the table. It was simply gorgeous. It was served with plain vegetables which was all it needed. Had desserts and washed it all down with a bottle of Sir Cliffs Vida Nova Branco.
Port served afterwards and the waiter left the bottle in case a top up was needed. Bill? €79. Good value.
Would recommend.
