Giurgiu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈd͡ʒjurd͡ʒju] ( listen)) is a city in southern Romania. The seat of Giurgiu County, it lies in the historical region of Muntenia. It is situated amid mud-flats and marshes on the left bank of the Danube facing the Bulgarian city of Ruse on the opposite bank. Three small islands face the city, and a larger one shelters its port, Smarda. The rich grain-growing land to the north is traversed by a railway to Bucharest, the first line opened in Romania, which was built in 1869 and afterwards extended to Smarda. Giurgiu exports timber, grain, salt and petroleum, and imports coal, iron, and textiles.

Happy restaurant in Rousse, which opened on 28th June 1997, is known for its cozy atmosphere and typical Happy interior decor, which can be enjoyed by up to 80 people inside the restaurant. The garden, suitable for meetings with friends on hot days, can accommodate 160 people.
We have been visiting the restaurant for the last 5 years. While the food is keeping a good quality the prices are increasing significantly. This is driven by an increasing popularity among Romanians. The restaurant offers also seasonal dishes and has a permanent sushi menu.Thank you for the good words. We appreciate our client`s opinion and we are glad that we made you smile. Be happy! Best regards, Happy Bar & Grill

This rustic restaurant is in central Ruse, just 2-3 blocks from the Roman Fortress. Rustic furniture and stone walls provide an informal environment. However, the place is clean, and the tables are covered with tablecloths. The menu is largely local, with Bulgarian delicacies. The dishes are tasty and the portions are generous. Desserts are excellent. There is a selection of mostly local wines and a full bar. Service is friendly and effective, albeit not sophisticated. A very good place for a lunch stop.

The view at sunset time is moving, the sun going down behind the Danube and Romania is something you can not be indifferent, but...
The revised Bulgarian cooking traditions is one of the reasons for their success: quality of food is excellent, real work on presentation, good list of Bulgarian wines, excellent service, nice, discret and ready to help when requested.
Very very reasonable prices.

Visit the restaurant for Lunch deal menu in February. My friends told me about it.The restaurant itself is small, can accomodate 20-30 guests. The place is difficult for people coming with cars, there is no parking available. The menu is fine,as well the quality of food.Could be better is staff courtesy and variety of menu.Came back on 27th August for lunch, but the restaurant was not open.

The places offers salads, sandwiches, drinks and excellent desserts. Food is good - self service, though, during the winter. Inside the place is very small. When it is warm, you can have a table outside and enjoy your food and drinks. Often there is music outside during the summer. Good location

The food is very good, variety of courses from pizza to meat and sea food, good cooking, and if u ask for something special u'll be impressed. As for prices they are a little higher than other restaurants but not much. They can use a little more room...

The Riga Restaurant is located on the top floor of the Hotel (20th floor) overlooking the Danube River. We had made a reservation, although at the time of the year that we were there, that probably wasn't necessary. We were welcomed by the hostess and given a choice of window seats with a great view of the Danube, Our waiter spoke fluent English although my partner is Bulgarian and we could have communicated in Bulgarian. The waiter recommended a very good wine that was perfect for our meal. The food was plentiful, delicious and there was a very extensive and varied menu. The desert was amazing and we each chose a different one and shared. There was also live music provided by a pianist. I had spent over a week in Ruse in 2014 but never did get to the Riga for a meal. When I return to Ruse again in the spring, the Riga restaurant will be on my must do list. Highly recommended.
