The wooden structure on the beach is the only place to get food at Ferrugem Beach and the food is delicious! They are famous for their "pastel de siri" a type of fried crab dumpling but their "isca de peixe", fried fish bites, is also pretty sensational. The beer is always cold and the lines at the counter in the high season are usually large but flow. A great place to have a bite with one of the most beautiful views in the world.

I really enjoyed the variety of food, including many species of fish to choose. They had anchova, salmon, congrio, pescada, etc. The place is exactly in front of the beach and price is affordable (you pay per kilo). It's not expensive.

For years I have been having part of my vacation in Garopaba, a small fish village turned in a popular beach destination in Southern Brazil.
Zanoni is one of the most popular restaurants in town. It is located in the outskirts of the city, just before entering it or if you are coming from the sea, just after passing the town, in the main road. officially this area is called Palhocinha.
The restaurant is specialised in fish and prime meat cuts. As soon as you sit, orders for drinks are taken and delicious appetisers are served. Any dishes you order can have quite a number of side dishes, as salad, rice, black beens and others. Dishes are big and it is advisable to share, unless you are really hungry. Shrimp and fish used to be very fresh, since the city keeps a number of fishermen and for meet try the Brazilian prime called"piranha", with the Italian/Brazilian side dish "polenta frita" (fried corn flower cakes).

This place is an oasis on the Garopaba waterfront street, where the typical restaurant is a tourist trap offering mediocre food. Setentaesete serves a wide variety of food including relatively exotic seafood like giant shrimp and lobster. It also serves a buffet that is fit for a king with all kinds of deliciously prepared vegetables, couscous etc. Whoever runs the kitchen is obviously thoroughly trained in the techniques of classical (probably of the French persuasion) kitchen. Every dish we had at the restaurant (and we went several times) was delicious, as were the Deserts. The abovementioned giant shrimp stood out, it is well worth the small mortgage you have to take out to pay for it. Drinks are very competently made, the everpresent Brazilian caipirinha/-roska is delicious. The service is good but a bit unpredictable, with swarms of waiters running around the tables and helping any table that needs it. You don't seem to have a firmly assigned waiter, which when you need something can be good (any waiter that passes by can help you) or occasionally bad (you are temporarily left in a void and can't seem to find anybody to turn to.) The décor is warm in tropical but tasteful yellowish tones. One of the two rooms of the restaurant features upholstered round booths which are great for a couple or a small group, the other room offers standard table Seating only. One oddity is a clothing store embedded in the middle of the restaurant. It seems like a serious waste of potential seating; the saving grace is that it offers appealing, well made women clothes in classical style (think Brazilian summer wear for the Barbour crowd.) If there is a catch in this oasis is that the prices are steep by regional standards, but it's definitely a case of you get what you pay for.

there is salmon and tuna. and that's it. raw tuna looked dark brown, so it is a no no. we ordered salmon everything: sashimi, sushi, sesamed, sealed, cooked… it tasted like chicken though. but every other restaurant in town was closed. so. be prepared.

We are closed for renovation from 01/05/2017 to 01/09/2017.
This restaurant offers very good quality sea food in central Garopaba, a fish village in Southern Brazil.
The service is very friendly and effective. They have some artisanal beers in their menu and the little cod fish cakes are the best in town. They have also many dishes with shrimp. I would recommend the moqueca, which is a traditional delicious Brazilian fish stew from Northeast. But as the name refers, there are many Portuguese dishes as well. By the way, the cod fish cakes are a inheritance from the Portuguese that Brazilians love.

Like most restaurants on the beachfront, it is a little overpriced, but the food is actually worth it and most of the dishes feed two very hungry people. It´s one of those places that calls your attention because it´s always full. That´s why I decided to stop in for lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I had a delicious fish, perfectly cooked and super tasty, with these amazing potato balls. They have a salad bar with a pretty unique variety of veggies which was also a nice surprise. The problem was the service. We sat down pretty fact but we had to ask for menus after being there for at least 10 minutes and the food took about 40 minutes to get to the table. Thank God for the salad bar and the very cold beer!

The snack bar Kiko Beirute has reasons to be one of the favourite snack bars in Garopaba, this nice beach and fishing village in Southern Brazil.
I have heard about Koko Beirute and I have been visiting Garopaba every year in January, but it was my first time experimenting its kitchen, through my daughter's suggestion. I understood its fame.
The bar and restaurant is one of the longest in town and combine fast and friendly service with delicious Lebanese food Brazilian style (whatever this would mean). We tried a Sandwich and a 4 types of Lebanese dips (like Baba Ghanouj, Hummus, Tahini and a forth that I can't remember the name, but it was delicious), with Syrian bread.
A place to come back!

The food was very great, but the special thing about this place is the location (in front of a fisher beach) and the building by itself ( an old house with ancient caracteristics). Will be back when I could!

It is a nice small place that serves nice burguer. It is always crowded. Price is ok and service is very good,Thank's Suzana! To avoid the crowd, we recommend that you arrive early, like 5-6PM, cause most people come here at 8-11PM. ?
