Wine Bistro featuring Organic Wines
The food was nice, but overpriced, for example a starter of bruschetta cost 8 Euro, and for what is basically a piece of bread with tomatoes on top! The main courses of slow cooked beef and cod with piperade were both nice but not outstanding; the mains were also very expensive with the beef costing 24 Euro. The cheapest set lunch menu was 31 Euro which for the area is expensive. Go for a drink and tapas, but not to eat lunch or dinner as it is not good value. The decor is nice inside, and if visiting sit inside as it is on a noisy and busy corner of the road.

Crammed masses more tables in and moved bar to near the entrance. Fairly grumpy rugby type lads on reception which goes with the place considering the patron's previous life. Open plan kitchen, harsh lighting, uncomfortable Seating. Food is substantial with a decent wine list. As before it's not a bad place to go with a group of close friends. Atmosphere is sub zero as in cold not cool. It's very different from what is available locally and I suppose if you want the French version of an American diner it may fit. As before facelift, lunch is better.

Located at Gaillac airfield offering large Terrace and quite attractive dining room and excellent good value menu this is my No 1 eatery in Gaillac, well perhaps 1st equal with Fil aux Saisons. Excellent tapas as starters and then we shared, between 4, two large entrecôte which were tender and perfectly booked. Service not the best but very welcoming.

Delicious food from quite an extensive menu. The Deserts won the day for inventiveness and taste. The only niggle we had was the abruptness of the waiter. Maybe he was having a bad day? It made us somewhat uncomfortable. We felt that in general there...MoreDear Sir or Madame, Thank you for four coment. Please accept our apologies for the unease and abruptness of the waiter you felt during your dinner. We hope this will not stop you for coming again to La Verrerie. Best regards,

The team of the Restaurant Pizzeria Le saint Pierre welcomes you in the heart of the old town of Gaillac,a village built up around the wine industry, 15 minutes from Albi. Our homemade pizzas, made from Italien flour, slowly matured, baked in a wood oven, add up to the authentic and original taste of our pizzas.21 different pizzas, made from fresh produce to taste either take away or in our charming restaurant or lovely calm shady Terrace. Our à la carte menu is a fresh italian cuisine "revisited", everything being home-made, accompanied by a selection of local Gaillac or Italian wines. Any occasion is right to discover the pleasures of the Saint Pierre.
Would have rated this as good but as there isn't such a rating it has to be average ! Good location for people watching fronting the main square at the centre of town. Nice clean premises. Friendly staff. Excellent choice of pizza with many specials above the usual suspects. Great frites as well.

Stopped of here for lunch and although we were a little late we were able to have lunch. Service was excellent, food was terrific. Prices were very good. Chocolates served with coffee, a really lovely lunch ,highly recommended if you are in the area .

Visited Chez Germaine again last night, arrived earlier than booked but no problem being allocated a table. Very welcoming, good food and good service even as the restaurant got busier as the evening progressed. Lovely atmosphere, so another good enjoyable evening here.

This restaurant in Gaillac (the Tarn) caters to locals and has an ever changing menu of French specialties. The servers are the most genial that one could find anywhere and the food is all delicious. The local Gaillac wines offered are excellent, with lots of choices and the desserts are scrumptious! Oh, and there is plenty of parking in the municipal lot behind the restaurant. Unlike many places in this area, this restaurant is open 7 days a week.

Plus point is a wide choice on menu. The chap who used to wait on tables and hold the service together is now chained to the stove and pizza oven consequently untrained staff are left floundering and are hopeless. Outside Terrace defeats point of eating en pleine aire as this is the smokers' area and is very disagreeable. Had a burger which was over cooked, served with an untoasted ciabatta bun and congealed chips. Not nice. Fellow diners seemed to fare better but service wrecked meal and at €22 for one course and 33cl of vrac wine is a rip off. Won't be going back, or have I said that before?

The Chez Fernand is on the west side of Gaillac 3 miles or so from the Albi-Toulouse motorway and it is surounded by ample free parking. The restaurant offers very good value family cooking and has a remarkably broad range of food ranging from salads, croques and omelettes to main dishes like brochettes of duck and entrecote stake. There are about 18 main meat dishes for example. We have tried a number of these and they have always been freshly cooked, very tasty and good value for money. The staff go out of their way to make you welcome and make a pont of coming over to say hello even if they are not serving your part of the restaurant. The service is quick but not too quick; you can have a three course meal in about an hour but there is no problem if you want to take more time. The restaurant is quite large, usually busy and confortably furnished. It is an ideal place for a family on the move, a workday lunch or a very pleasant no-frills meal at any other time. We will certainly continue to go there.
