I stopped by at Popasul Reginei Restaurant several times in the past few years with groups between 4 and 20. They typically have fast service and the prices are for all pockets. Not to mention that it's just accross the main street from the yard of the Bran Castle.

Rude staff acting like out of a gangster movie. Waited for over 15 minutes for someone to take at least our drink order and no one bothered. Expensive food in the menu. Not recommended, won't be returning. Too bad as the restaurant looks nice.

Most of the staff is very rude and impolite. There are some polite waiters, but just a few.
We had to wait for one hour to order the food and only after arguing with them somebody came to take the order.
The prices are too big for the services they are offering and the quality of the food is medium to low.
As we were accommodated at Wolf 2 Hotel, in the morning we had breakfast here as well, we didn't like it either. The food served for breakfast is medium to poor, but the prices are too big.

The Traditional Sheepfold restaurant is situated on the top of the hill, offering a spectacular view of the Bran Castle and the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains. The décor is all rustic, with wooden logs encased in the walls, two hanging fireplaces, interior Fountain anda grotto that acts as a separate wing of the restaurant. Inside the restaurant there is a nice playground for children. The entertainment evenings from the Traditional Sheepfold Restaurant means: bonfire with folk music and mulled wine, international music live recital, Concerts of well known Romanian artists, the Club Vila Bran mascots parade, karaoke, music trivias and disco.

Hillden Lodge & Restaurant has a restaurant with 40 seats and an outdoor Terrace running from June to September. You will be greeted here by a personal characterized by professionalism and enthusiasm of youth.
The food took ages to arrive, despite us being the only two people in the place.
The seafood in the spaghetti was frozen not fresh, and looked like it should never have been fished in the first place - the mussels and prawns were the smallest we've ever seen. The sauce was tasteless.
The cabbage 'salad' was a bowl of chopped cabbage.
For the price we paid, we expected much better.

Our guide had reserved us a table here. The service was great and at the normal Romanian pace. We had some nice house wine and most of us went for the local 'goulash' which was superb. No complaints from any or our party and all reasonable priced. Ideal location as well, just a short walk away from the castle.

The “minestrone” tasted terrible. It was just an ordinary “ciorbă”. Just more expensive.
The service was the slowest I’ve ever seen in a restaurant.
They served 1st course together with 2nd course so that the food was also cold.
The ambient music is loud electro house house at noon.
Don’t go there.

Whether you want to have dinner alone or with your loved ones, whether you want to organize an event, Brandeberg is the ideal location for those with refined tastes. Our team welcomes you with many traditional products from the Bran area, local dishes, Bavarian dishes, international recipes and delicious desserts prepared with great devotion and under the careful coordination of the chef.
Ate there twice, me and my husband. Basic menu, simple stuff, nothing fancy (schnitzel, sausages, cabbage, potatoes, soups). We liked the ambiance, nice Terrace, kids friendly. Good option to have lunch/dinner if you have accommodation in the area. Lively place. On negative side, they play only German speaking radio, was slightly odd.

We lived in apartment in Zarnesti for a few days, found the restaurant and came again at the next evening.
First of all, the place is looking good in traditional style, with heavy wooden furniture, there even a Terrace for smokers.
The menu is rich and various, traditional Romanian food side by side with pizza.
The food was excellent, the service fast and polite.
We've ordered a pizza party - it was huge, and the pizza was really good.
Also tasted the bean soup and the grilled trout. Grilled mixed meat with pork, chicken breast and meat balls was fine for two.
And last, but not the least - the prices ate very fair. We ate 5 person for 150 lei at both nights, although ordered different dishes.
Definitely worth a visit.
