We checked trip advisor for restaurant recommendations. Ara Anua was awesome. The service was first class as was the recommendation for the house starter - the chickpea dish as part of the mixed starter was delicious. The main dish did not disappoint either. The local wine was really good as well. Best meal of our 10 night tour between Napoli and Rome

Thursday in February, it's not going to be a riot. The amuse bouche and the complimentary Prosecco introduced us to the proprietor, that helped. We discussed the menu and requested to be directed by him. Our input was limited to the type of main course required and all worked out well. Cold fishy bits of salmon, bass, swordfish and octopus started things off. Next, hot octopus and tomato sauce on crushed chickpeas, a new and welcome departure for us. Langoustines with linguine prettily served and an immaculately filleted bream. Not the greatest, but well worth a visit, or two, if you've the time.

Lovely lovely restaurant. So atmospheric and authentic. We were the only non in. Interesting dishes, well flavoured and seasoned prepared and served with passion and care. Crispy cod pieces as a starter - yummy! Rustic dishes such as pasta with meat ragu but cooked in a sophisticated way with style. I had braised lamb as a main - so tasty. Superb tiramisu and lots of other sweet treats for pudding. Love it!

A lovely little place with a vibrant atmosphere and helpful, friendly service. The menu is interesting, with a few more unusual ingredients and imaginative dishes. Its seriously good italian cooking, but with a bit of a modern twist (no muddled nonsense though!). All our choices were very good - high quality ingredients, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The whole experience was relaxed and welcoming. The wine waiter took time to talk us through the wines on offer and help us find one we'd really like (a lovely red from lazio region). We,d tried to get in the previous night before and they were full. The man who we'd spoken with sent us a complementary platter of really good cheese and proscuttio for coming back! Would definitely recommend trying this place, but maybe pop in and book it,s clearly full of regulars and was busyto in the depths of January.

Our restaurant has been a family restaurant since 1922, we have a beautiful Terrace with wiev over Rome and Frascati, and our dishes are in harmony with season and tradition. Upper we have also a hotel with 20 rooms. It's nice to visit our grotto, for a wine tasting.
I used to eat here often, ages ago, as I used to come to Frascati regularly. I was back and decided to refresh my memory, and I was not disappointed. Even if I showed up late I was treated like a prized customer, and decided to try a great classic, that is, "Cacio e pepe". I did not regret it, and I'll come back soon!

First time at this restaurant. Had lunch on Sunday at noon. Good service, appetizers, first course and dessert. Courses well presented. Disappointing main course. A friend of mine and myself ordered a filet with mushrooms, it looked and tasted more like a faux filet. There was fat in excess and the meat was not as tender as you would expect. My wife ordered lamb and she got four big ribs with relatively little meat to chew on. What a pity! I gave my comments to the owner but he did not seem to care at all.

Nuova struttura all'interno dell' hotel Villa Mercede
In my case the "event" was my birthday. I was looking for a unique atmosphere in a remarkable place. Well, this restaurant absolutely matched the expectations. We all had a lovely evening: the place is stylish, accurately furnished, yet warm and friendly; the view is really nice (the name of the restaurant is absolutely deserved) and, more importantly, the cooking is delicious and accurate.
I particularly enjoyed the main courses and the pastas that combine well-known italian dishes with 'unexpected' ingredients (and do it appropriately, that's the point!). I have been told that the meat is cooked for 24 hours at very low temperature. All I can say, from experience, is that the meat is incredibly tender.
Course prices are in the average and the portions are sized in order to let the (average) guest have a full 4-course dinner, that is good.
Last but not least the staff "cuddled" us during the whole dinner.

This is my favourite restaurant in Frascati. I really love the enthusiasm and attention to detail the owner has when it comes to the dishes served. She always has excellent suggestions for wine.
As most good restaurants in Italy, the menu is seasonal and you always find something fresh to eat.
The price range is a little higher than average for the area but definitely worth it.

What a wonderful little neighborhood pizza place. Nice people serving fresh and delicious slices of all kinds. Great informal place, we'd love to return. Highly recommended, simple, reasonable and just right. Nice little park and view across the via too.

I've been to ZAFFO few weeks ago and I had a lot of lovely things to eat. The place is new and the staff is friendly and kind. I'll go there for sure next time I'll be in Italy!
