Had a very tasty GF pizza and reasonably price wine. Service seemed a little disengaged. One lass delivered to our table twice with out uttering a word. Food was great but staff lacking vibe

This was our second visit to Cuckoo as we are newly settled in Greytown, and we love this very welcoming restaurant with great value and delicious food. The menu is quite small but what they do is very good and we would definitely recommend it. The wine list is also good and the service is excellent. We will keep going back for more. Thanks Cuckoo and Staff

Stopped her for quick lunch- their French baguettes with REAL HAM OFF THE BONE..not shaved ham were a step back to Paris!
While it was later in the day the range of food in the cabinets as well as the menu superb.
Since returning to NZ my husband has tried lots of so called palmiers but these were the real thing..had to buy more to take away!

Roomy café but disappointing experience. Ordered quiche and brioche. Quiche was brought to table and after waiting 20 minutes we asked for the brioche. After checking the till receipt the brioche was taken out of cabinet, placed on plate and brought to our table - no ceremony at all. Coffees were bitter.

Situated on State Highway 2, next door to the Tauherenikau Racecourse between Greytown and Featherstone, South Wairarapa, The Tin Hut is a warm inviting Restaurant and Bar which serves fresh wholesome country fare. With a large back section garden bar for relaxing and enjoying the fine cuisine during the Summer months, is a must do!
This is a nice and cozy coutryside pub but a bit old fashion menu and deco. Had their food was fair average. You can get better curry rather than paid that amount of money. I think this is a favorite place for elder people who sticking with same menu every time. I hope they would do some seasonal and local produce changing on the menu. I may coming for try when I travel in this area next time.

This first-class property is located about 2 hours drive from Wellington airport. Beautiful drive thru the countryside enroute. The lodge is set in the middle of 5000 acres of wonderful scenery bounded by Mountains on the back and the Pacific Ocean on the front. The lodge is charming and the center of activities. The chef and food are top notch for all three meals each day. The wine choices are varied and all we sampled were excellent, especially the Pinot Noirs from Marlborough area. The cottages are wonderful and feature some very interesting architecture. Our visit to see the sheep station in action was very interesting from seeing the sheep being rounded up by the dogs to seeing the sheep being sheared. Our wildlife jeep tour included roaming most of the property including the eel lagoon, the Forests and a drive along the beach. All in all we were very happy to visit this unique property and would go back again.

Stopped here recently and found the food quite tasty, but way too over priced. The main gripe, though, was that the coffee took an age to arrive - long after we'd finished our food. We weren't the only people to be dissatisfied: we saw one couple complain very volubly about slow service.

Two sizes of plate available, the large is huge, so beware. The selection was amazing and all so fresh. Had a really nice feel about it, the country atmosphere I think

We popped by at 4:15pm today (high Summer!) desperate for coffee and not much open on the small Main Street of Featherston. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who made us excellent coffee. There was an array of second-hand books for sale and all sorts of little bits and pieces. We'll definitely stop longer next time we're passing through. Thank you!
