Interpreting fresh and regional products serving in different cuisines of the world.
Ate here twice. Had the mixed tapas starter. Waiter talked us through every dish. Very keen and knowledgable. Every dish was of very high quality. Then had an excellent steak. Second time had very good rabbit as the main coarse. Slightly more expensive than most of the resaurants around but worth every euro.

We ate here twice during our week in Tazacorte but you do need to book especially if you want to eat outside. The menu is imaginative and food beautifully presented. Staff were very friendly and spoke both English and German. A small dish of olives came with the drinks and mini heart shaped coffee ice creams came with the bill which was a lovely touch. On the first visit I had corn soup which was really tasty followed by hake with a lightly spiced sauce with almonds and a side salad and then I succumbed to the chocolate truffles and brandy cherries. On the second visit I had the pumpkin and papaya soup which my husband had really enjoyed on the first visit and then the incredibly tender beef stroganoff with green beans and fresh tagliatelle. Along with wine on both occasions the bill came to just over 60 Euros.

We had a very enjoyable dinner here. All the food was very fresh and well cooked and the flavours were rich and interesting. The goats cheese and chicken pate starters were very nice (but as with almost everywhere in La Palma better bread would really have been appreciated). Our main courses were rabbit and steak, both excellent, although I could have eaten a lot more potatoes! Lemon sorbet was large, delicious and generously topped with vodka. House red wine was good value and very drinkable. We sat outside and it definitely wasn't romantic or atmospheric, being right next to the main road, but the service was great and we had a very good meal overall.

A little off the main road, but well indicated, ample parking place and three cozy, well decorated rooms filled with agreeable furniture. Add a waiter who laughs constantly and speaks, apart from Spanish, also English, German, Dutch and even Swahili, and the conditions are set for a three course meal accompanied by half a liter of red wine. All this of very good quality and at a moderate price.

Tasca Barbanera is a cosy place with a bar, walls covered with pictures and old (but comfortable) furniture. The menu consists of a range of starters (which are actually pretty filling), main courses and Deserts. The food is not very special, but tastes good. The waiters did make us feel welcome, although they only spoke a few words in English.
If you want to have a proper diner in a cosy place with a nice ambiance, do consider Tasca Barbanera.

Our restaurant is closed from june 23th to july 25th.
Great location with sea view but apart from the busy center. Very attentive owner and staff. 5 tapas dishes is the max you should order for two, is really enough. Cantarelle and garlic; avocado with tuna carpaccio and roasted sesame!!
People know each other in here, meaning plenty of regular customers.
Nice!

We couldn’t swallow the pizza. I tried one slice and had to make an effort to chew and swallow that pizza. I have made better pizzas in my kitchen.
House wine one of the worst red wines I have tried in my life. I mean... it’s house wine after all but... is it necessary to be bad?
Extremely low quality restaurant. Nothing to celebrate. I see other people’s reviews and feel very very confused. Are we talking about the same restaurant? Because my pizza was absolutely awful, pathetic wine and tired staff.
Won’t come back.

cocina tradicional con productos palmeros y de temporada en un ambiente acogedor y familiar. Postres caseros y vinos de la isla. Hablamos español, inglés y alemán.
I stopped for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is open afternoons only on Friday-Sunday and on evenings only Monday-Wednesday. Menu specials change weekly. The quality of the salad, main course and dessert was high. Creative menu. I will definitely go back again another time.
