I tried many Stared Michelin restaurants in Europe and this one is one of my favorite. Very trendy decor, nice and professional staffs, really like the costume black and white suits of staffs, especially they wear gloves to serve customers. The food is so delicate and fine with Asean touch. Amazing !

In the magnificent Jekerdal valley, just on the Belgian border, is Chateau Neercanne. The beautiful Baroque Gardens of the 17th century castle are divided over four levels, all of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The highest Terrace offers a wonderful view over of the Gardens and the magnificent valley. Chateau Neercanne has a rich cultural and culinary tradition. Treat yourself to dinner at the a la carte Restaurant Chateau Neercanne. Our attractive marl-built function rooms are ideal locations for parties, receptions and meetings. The unique wine cellars in the marl caves form an unparalleled setting for a wine-tasting session or for enjoying an aperitif.
My husband and I had our 15 year anniversary at this restaurant. But first we were invited for a glass of champagne in the caves. The cave was very nicely decorated and there were little candles burning. At the restaurant we had this very nice...MoreBeste Yvonne C. Thank you so much for your review and we all wish you many happy years together. Specially in this season the autumn colors are amazing. Cor Schormans

I have eaten here with friends, and at least once alone several times in recent years, and have never been disappointed. On the contrary I/we are usually delighted. Most recently an Australian friend/colleague pronounced the lamb cous cous 'the best lamb I've ever eaten.'
My wife, a quasi-vegetarian looks forward to eating here when we visit the Maastricht-Eijsden area, which is often. In short, highly recommended!

On y retournera !

Feel welcomed as a friend to wine restaurant mes amis. Host Annaline, a passionate wine expert knows how to find the perfect one to accompany your dish. She loves the wines made in Limburg. Enjoy a private dinner with friends, family or colleagues? Be welcome at the cozy private dining room on the first floor of the historic building on Tongersestraat, 2 minutes away from the Vrijthof.
This one was a little bit of a mixed bag, the interior was cozy but the AC was too cold for my taste (we were sitting upstairs. Downstairs seemed considerably warmer); service was extremely friendly and professional, but it took ages for the different dishes to arrive; the food was ok and well-presented, but all in all not very exciting (except for the dessert which was quite creative); the wine pairing was ok but the wines were very young and not extremely developed - we expected more, given the price; they might have had a bad night, but I would not return to see if this really was the case.

Up and coming restaurant. They are destined to win a Michelin star anytime soon, so please list it! :)
What a gem we stumbled into to celebrate a special Birthday.
A warm welcome on the beautiful patio outside, a delicious amuse and then onto our table inside. We choose a 3 course menu and one delicious (and beautifully displayed) course was followed by the next. This chefs not only knows what he is doing, he loves doing it as well! So do the hosts who serve the drinks and food!
We will definitely return!

I had not been here for a while. Now ask myself: why? It is a great place, the atmosphere is nice and it breaths Belgium from beginning till end. The decoration, the menu, the drinks, the food,... even the decoration on the croquettes. I really like the food and the beer pairing options: good suggestions. I quickly went into the basement: what an impressive beer collection. I will not wait as long again to go back!

Afspanning De Swaen in 's-Gravenvoeren (Voeren) already served as a resting place for horse and rider midway through the stagecoach route between Liege and Aachen in the 16th century. Now is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or a meal on the Terrace, in the taproom or in the restaurant. Local specialties include 'gebakken trip met appelschijven' (grilled black pudding with apple slices), rabbit with plum sauce, and 'Voeren-style' trout, fresh from the hatchery of Sint-Pietersvoeren. Or enjoy one of the more than 30 Belgian beers, including a wide selection of Trappist beers, locally brewed Rick's beer, or one of the beers from the Grain D'Orge Brewery in nearby Hombourg. Our special tea and coffee is made from freshly roasted coffee beans from Blanche Dael in the Wolfstraat in Maastricht. We also have a banquet hall for up to 80 people.
Set in an 18th-century house and courtyard, De Swaen offers local specialities such as trout and cheeses from the region, commonly called the Voerstreek. Yet the real attraction is the cosy atmosphere and extensive beer list, which offers a number of Belgian beers including trappists. Don't miss the Grimbergen Blond, which I understand is not available in the United States. It's a great place to stop to rest if you've been hiking or bicycling in the region. About at 45 minute bicycle ride from Maastricht, Netherlands.
