We came to Maravelis in December and were able to choose day-fresh fish! The owner welcomed and served us in a very friendly and personal way. The family restaurant is pretty and clean. And the food was fresh and good (tzatziki made by the mother!), the house wine tasty. At the end we got some typically Greek Christmas cookies, homemade. A very pleasant Greek evening!

Had to wait a lot for service . First served bread was dated . Had to walk personally inside ( not attending waiters ) the store to ask for fresh bread . After a long wait , our food ( appetizers and main course ) came at the same time , and not hot enough .

Nor sure why the previous review was so damning, maybe they have a bad night. We live in nearby Limni and wanted to try something new. This is not a seafront restaurant, but it's situated in a charming courtyard with a canopy of trees as cover (apparently they have an indoor section for Winter with a fireplace) too. We ordered giant lima beans, green beans, pastitsio and one other dish (but can't remember now). Normally I don't really like pastitsio, but the portion was so large for my daughter, I cut a piece to try too and I loved it. It was light and very tasty, a great surprise. Loved that the fries it came with were sprinkled with a little cheese. Extra deliciousness. Even the local wine was fantastic, and I'm so often disappointed with local wine I don't normally try it. They kindly brought me a sip to taste, and it was great. We finished just as a shower started but they quickly raced a few other tables inside before an unexpected storm rolled in. I was impressed with firstly the food but also the efficient and unobtrusive service. Will definitely be going back! Prices were definitely on the cheaper end but we hadn't ordered any proper meat dishes. Definitely great value for money too.

It is the most beautiful location and a very nice restaurant. The service as ok, not perfect. The food was ok as well, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about.
The music was quite loud, I asked 2 times to turn it down, which they then did.

Had dinner with friends and the food and service were very good. Maria served us and helped us make our choices. All the good was very good
It's a lovely place to eat as it's close to the small harbour so you can see the fishing boats come in

The sea food platter (very generous - one plate being more than enough for two) and a salad - were delicious and very reasonably priced. Retsina - sensibly priced went well with both courses as did the local white wine which we ordered the second night. We arrived at about 8.00 p.m. in time to watch a heavenly sun set. The service (provided by a some time Albanian waiter) was excellent.

Beautiful place by the sea with playful dishes and searches. Friendly service, reasonable prices, fresh ingredients. Every Sunday afternoon live music.
It is perfect place to have good food. Even the restaurant is always full, once you get a table service is very good and FAST

We had grilled γαρίδα - a kind of prawns - and a grilled fish - big as a trout - with French fries. Though we were very hungry we had great difficulties to empty our plates because the seafood had no taste at all. The dip - a sauce made of lemon and olive oil - did not improve the taste. Together with half a liter of white vine from the barrel we paid 35 €. The interior of the taverna is poor. The staff was apathetic. The next day we had the same kind of prawns in an other restaurant for a counter check. They were delicious.

Traditional greek tavern, good food and not bad service, but as a foreigner, you must be careful what they put in your bill and in what price. They didn't present us a menu at all. We ordered three tsipouro, they charge us with four, five EUR each.

We went there late at night and asked for donuts. The waiter said they are over but then called us to get the last portion.
We felt lucky but unfortunately they were not good, when leaving he mentioned that earlier they would be better cause they d have been more fresh. We would have appreciated some honesty ;)
