We visited this restaurant as part of a tour from Mazatlan, Our meals were per-ordered but were fantastic. The service was friendly and good. This establishment was very popular with the local an a Friday afternoon. I have a dietary concern and the staff here was very accommodating to make sure my needs were met. We would recommend this restaurant to any traveler.

You have got to try this steakhouse, simply the best in town! Everything in here is excellent, I over-ate because how good the steaks are there! Have to run an extra mile :)

The food was a mixed bag. The pizza doesn't have a bread crust--it is almost like a pie crust/cookie dough. Definitely not what I was expecting (or wanting). I ordered the pasta carbonara--which was terrible. My husband ordered something called the Milano (I think). He really enjoyed it. But I was very disappointed in my pasta.
The restaurant itself is quite large. It looks like a very old building--and the restaurant was full of people. So it is clearly well-liked. But I didn't like it and wouldn't go back. More expensive than what I would want to pay--especially because my pasta was terrible.

You can walk from the Cathedral to the Fonda, while enjoying all the beautiful Colonial and 19th century buildings.
And when you arrive, you see an old house very beautifully decorated.
The menu is very complete and diverse.
The best to order are Chiles en Nogada when available or the Chile en Rojo with cheese.
Great experience !!

We were on an all day tour from Mazatlan to Durango and back. We stopped here for lunch. Food and service were good. It was a weekday and the return was full. Seemed to be locals and visitors. The atmosphere is very pretty with painting on the walls and other architectural details. This was our second time here and it was a pleasant experience.

We went to this restaurant twice in our 3 nights in Durango. The menu is Italian and there is a good selection of pasta, salads and pizzas. Our group was 8 in size and the restaurant was able to serve us all in a timely manner and there were no complaints about the food. The house wine is well priced. A complete meal for two with wine was under $300 pesos.
There was a lineup later in the evening proving this is a popular restaurant in Durango.

The restaurant is right on the main plaza, has a nice individual feel (the dreaded M and S*****y are next door for comparison which certainly helps!) and is good value. Try the fruit shakes and any of the Mexican standards.

This cafe has a pretty big menu for breakfast. I ordered a set menu, which included coffee, a platter of food, and a choice between a fruit bowl and juice. The set menu was approximately 110 pesos--so definitely on the higher end of breakfast places. But the platter included bread, beans, chilaquiles, and an egg dish. So definitely a lot of food.
The food is quite good. The fruit bowl is beautifully presented (and tasty). The coffee was your standard drip. Nothing too special.
The place is definitely worth a visit. Although, if you are bringing your baby, FYI there are no high chairs.
