The Beech Tree Inn is a family restaurant and bar situated just north of Glasgow. Please do not expect fine dining, that it not what we do. Its just simple bar food at value for money prices. In addition, we have a good range of light meals and snacks. We also stock a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. We have a great beer garden with a children's play area, pygmy goats, mini Shetland ponies, ducks, rabbits, & zebra finches for the kids to enjoy looking at.
The car park is quite a distance from the door and even parking in the disability parking spaces there is a long walk up a very uneven path. There is a small step at the front door which could easily be missed and a very deep step down towards the conservatory. All serious problems when you have mobility issues. That apart, the food was mediocre - lots of food on the plate but not of particularly good quality. The glass of wine was probably the best thing I had. Would not recommend it and will not return.

Cucina is a Modern Contemporary Italian Style Restaurant, inspired by Italy...created at Cucina.
We visit Cucina fairly regularly. More recently we visited for a 50th celebration with family - 26 of us. Irrespective of the size of our party, the service was impeccable as was the food. All orders arrived - correct and within a reasonable time for the number of us. Every single dish was delicious as I'd asked how everyone's meal was. Fillet steak in particular is huge, cooked to order and delish. All in all still one of our favourite places to go. Cannot fault Jason and his team for service.

Edinburghs esteemed chef, Martin Wishart, has added a touch of Michelin-starred luxury to the already impressive Cameron House a stylish hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond. Head Chef Stewart Boyles worked with Martin in the kitchen at Restaurant Martin Wishart, so its no surprise that the food here is similarly flawless. The menu features elegant French dishes like roast John Dory forestire with truffle jus; Jerusalem artichoke velout with langoustines; and a lighter-than-air passion fruit souffl. The restaurant itself is light and airy with striped chairs, comfortable banquettes and shades of taupe and plum creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The attentive service, unpretentious atmosphere and thoughtfully chosen wine list complete this unforgettable dining experience.
FABULOUS in every way!!!
Sun 26 Nov, 12:30, x2 - Sunday Lunch
I am a regular at Cameron House, using the Boathouse as my 'local' from the Marina, and Great Scots Bar / Cameron Grill for "nights out", byt only my 2nd visit to MW. My first was 3 years ago for the "taster" menu, but this time just for lunch.
Fabulous value at £32 per head for 3 courses, cos by the time you have all the canapés etc, it's far more than 3!
We both opted for the £25.50 option to have matching wines too.
Also, as there are 2 options per course, we chose to go 50:50 on every dish, so just had ONE of every of dishes on the "Du Jour" menu.
The main course lamw was "to die for", but all of the other dishes were fab too, ditto the canapés.
Faultless service, great Sommelier, awesome food - we're back there in 2 weeks for a repeat!!!
FINE DINING at its very best - you'd be doing amazingly well to find a better place to eat ANYWHERE!!!!!

Great food in a great location - that is what The Village Rest is all about. Always comfortable and friendly, you can be assured of a great time whether you're just in for a cup of coffee and a cake, or a large meal. Our varied and well balanced menu changes regularly and is in season and the food always fresh. We aspire to serve delicious homemade dishes with locally sourced produce. Our atmosphere is relaxed with an eclectic interior. The Village Rest is casual enough for lunch or tea, and yet formal enough for special occasions. In the perfect village of Luss, The Village Rest is ideally placed for enjoying Loch Lomond and the scenery of the national park. Arguably Scotland's most beautiful loch, Loch Lomond is also one of the largest. There is huge variety too, between the gentle sweeping farmland of the southern edge to the rugged highland shores of the north. Luss is positioned on the edge of the Highlands and has great views across to the Islands and Mountains of Loch Lomond.Luss is connected to central Scotland by the A82, a good quality fast road, with driving times of less than an hour from central Glasgow.
Friendly warm welcoming staff and manager with a tasty menu selection . Highly recommend a food stop here with there great portions size . Looking forward to our next visit .

The food is absolutely amazing. The garlic mushrooms were absolutely delicious! The catch of the day was pike and I had it with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The fish was fresh and well prepared and was accompanied by freshly boiled veggies.
My partner had a delicious cullen skink and the steak pie which was accompanied by hand cut fries, some of the best I have ever tasted.
The staff was very welcoming and charming. We have enjoyed it and will definitely go back!

Contemporary, quirky Scottish coffee shop set in the picturesque village of Luss, on the banks of Loch Lomond. Serving a wide range of coffees, teas, home baking and food from 10am to 5pm, 364 days per year. Lunch is served all day as we know many of our customers are travelling. A selection of our fabulous home made 'main meal soups' are always on offer with a hunk of locally baked bread. Stokies (large soft bread rolls) are filled with our own prepared fillings such as honey roast ham with redcurrant jelly. For something more substantial try our Quiche and coleslaw prepared from scratch on the premises, Salmon and Prawns, Haggis and Clapshot or Ciabatta breads prepared like pizzas. Our gift shop is filled with quirky Scottish sourced items !!
Friendly, fabulous food, proper coffee in lovely large pottery cups..generous portions of home cooked food and live fire. We entered cold and hungry and left warmed by the spirit of this place and its cooking.

A cosy traditional scottish inn which is full of history and has a wide selection of home cooked food. The home made chips are particularly tasty . Serving a fine selection of wines and cask ale that change all the time. Friendly staff will greet you on arrival and dogs are welcome in the bar area.
Visited for first time after a lovely walk in the area. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We both had the home made Ham and Lentil broth which was just what the doctor ordered! Followed by a coronation chicken Sandwich very tasty.
All in all very good value.

The Old Mill in Killearn, formerly a weaving mill and now a characterful pub and restaurant within this charming 18th Century steading, complete with ceiling beams and cosy snug. Our beer garden, with childrens play area, offers a very relaxed alfresco dining option for both lunch and dinner, which is always a winner when the sun is shining. During more typical Scottish weather you can warm up by the open fire with a wee dram. Our menu offers the best of local Scottish produce, responsibly sourced, lovingly prepared and skillfully presented.
Popped in for a quick lunch with my wife and son. Very pleasantly surprised. Menu choice was excellent and really good value for money. Staff extremely helpful. Nice to see dogs are allowed as this venue is rural and a favourite area for walking. Well worth a visit.

The Cruin is situated along Loch Lomond about 5 minuted drive north of Balloch
We planned our wedding here with the on site wedding planners. And eventually tied the knot on the 4/6/2016. They went above and beyond to accommodate our special day. And boy oh boy what a day. Everything was perfect. They even somehow managed to have the weather to be perfect too. So our photographer was really pleased.
We have been to the Cruin before the wedding just for food. And the menu and dishes are to die for. The service is first class. I honestly cant think of a bad point to say about them. We will go back for as long as they will have us.

We stopped for lunch as we were walking the John Muir Way. The staff is friendly, the service fast. We had great toasted sandwiches - just what was needed after a long cold walk! Because my husband had twisted his knee, we wanted a ride to our hotel in Drymen. The Wayfarer staff helped arrange a ride for us. So in summary, good, food, wonderful staff!
