As it was a Sunday night (a usually off-night and often finding restaurants closed) we were fortunate to have the hotel restaurant open for us. Simon, our server, was gracious, knowledgable, and incredibly helpful. The menu is designed around seasonal and fresh, local foods. Simon guided us to Slovenian wines for our dinner, beginning with the Slovenian 'bubbly wine', which was delicious. We shared a bottle of local Chardonnay, which was quite to our liking. To start, we each ordered a freshly made salad of local spinach and rocket lettuce with small amounts of cucumbers, red peppers, tomatoes, and radishes served with a choice of olive oil or pumpkin seed oil (delicious!) and either balsamic or white vinegar. The lettuces tasted as if they had just been picked.
For dinner, hubby chose the wild venison (not farmed raised), a large portion of deep, richly flavored and tender meat. Served alongside was a wine poached pear and celery mash. Filling, unusually delicious, and satisfying. I had the oven baked sea bass served with potatoes and assorted fresh vegetables with a light white sauce. The meal was beautifully served and perfectly prepared, satisfying and delicious.
Simon brought us each an after dinner drink: grappa for my husband and a fruit liquor for me--as we were celebrating my birthday.
Simon is an incredible young man and the Hotel CUBO is fortunate to have him on staff. Thank you for making our first night in Ljubljana a very welcoming one, Simon!

I thought this place did Serbian cuisine when I made a trip there for a solo evening meal. It used to, apparently, but now doesn't. It's strictly local Slovene fare, but none the worse for that.
As it was November I had krvavica (local blood sausage) with sauerkraut and Slovene mash (that is, cooked with fried onion), typical of the area and the season. It was delicious, especially as I had a glass of house red wine (Refosk Simcic) to accompany it. The starter was a mixed cold meat platter, which was quite good but at a not paltry EUR 7,25.
Overall, a pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. I would return if I was in the area and was after lunch or dinner.

Really enjoyed my meal at this road-side restaurant next to the Domzale stadium and other sports facilities. Had a wonderful mushroom soup (€2.50!) and excellent sea bream with artichokes and spinach. Topped if off with some yummy pancakes with almond paste. Just writing this makes me want to go back immediately!

Local food
Main chef, owner, maddam herself is very kind. We were with two kids and we were very hungry. Food was well prepered and tasteful. Price is midrange. I would recommend this nice place for a lunch for families, couples and bussines meetings. Worth stopping by!Thank you.

First impression is Sloven ambient. Small house with warm small rooms, special warmed and special lovely for rain or cald day. At summer you can seat outside. The food is good. You can chooce typical Sloven or also Mediterranean, cause cocker is from Croatia.

Inside old style, like nothing changed last 20 years. Serbian type of restaurant, suitable more for quick lunch then fancy dinner. Salad acceptable, cabbage salate too salty, grilled paprika without taste. Mixed meat plate, not really good quality. Would not go back here.

No Reservations. Ever changing menu, local produce, natural wine list and owners behind the stoves. Warmly welcome. Luka & Urska & Simon
The food was exquisite and very well priced. The service was charming, friendly and knowledgeable. My only criticism was it was a little cold inside.

Burger restaurant with love for food. We offer quality beef burgers with Slovenian meet, grilled in ceramic charcoal grills. Our specialites are burgers and steaks with high quality local ingredients. We also offer a large number of different local craft beers.
We went to 7 Burger because we were hungry and were craving some burgers. They offer a lot of burgers, but only one of them doesn't contain meat so there isn't a lot of burgers for vegetarians of vegans. I also loved the fries! We were waiting for food for around 15 minutes.

Restaurant Juvan has opened their doors in April 1968. There are three guest rooms for aproximatly 70 guests. From spring till autum guests can sit on a beautiful garden under the chessnut tree. Restaurant has also their own large parking. They offer Slovenian and international cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal dishes.
The restaurant serves semi national food but what is served out of the national food arsenal is great and should be tried. The variety of national food is not large but its quality is great. Family owned business is just right if you want to eat something good. In top days (Saturday, Sunday) better reserve.
