The Primerose Mediterranean Restaurant is very proud to serve authentic Greek dishes using time tested family recipes straight from Oropos Greece
We have not been to this restaurant for a while but decided to try it again. We went with the previous ownership and had pretty much the same experience at that time.
I phoned and made a reservation and asked them if they do a little something for birthday people and I was told yes.
When we arrived, the staff were friendly as they always have been but when the orders were placed, I made mention to the server to have the Birthday gal order first. That was my reminder. No acknowledgment by the restaurant was even made which was a disappointment to all eight of us.
On another note, we ordered some Calamari for appetizers and we ran out of Tzakiki dip. I had to ask for more and was told that we had to pay extra for two little containers at $2.00 each. I found this so tacky as we had a large group of people and the prices are already on the high side.
So in conclusion, don't go to this place if you think that they will do something for a birthday or any other celebration because they wont. Also, don't order extra dips as they will ding you for that too.
The service was okay but had to keep asking to fill our glasses of water up.
This business has seen the last of me as I gave them another chance a few years later.

I so dont recommend going here horrible service and its not the staffs fault there ran of their feet very nice girls i might add. Way to expensive i ordered shrimp salad and it stunk told the helper she said she'd go look at the shrimp.
Dang girl look at mine. The waitress that served us took it if the bill and it was still outrageously over priced.
Veiw is good boats coming and going that all i liked about it

I like good and cheap pizza. I usually do a little bit of price comparison geometry, by dividing the price by the radius squared, to find the best priced size of pizza. I couldn't do that at Steveston Pizza. They only serve one 12" sized pizzas. At $25 each, the pizza was not cheap. They have a fancy loaded pizza with lobster priced at $180!
I have passed by Steveston Pizza many times, but had never tried it. It looks like a take out place. When you walk in, there is a small order counter and a pizza oven in the back. There is a small narrow table in front of the window and only two stools. Usually there was a line-up out the door. It never appealed to me or my wife or friends to dine there.
On this occassion, I was in the neighbourhood on my own for lunch, so i decided to try it out. I thought i could order a couple of pizza slices. When i found out that i could only order a 12" and at $25, i was silently shocked. (There are a few plain pizzas at a lower price, but they did not sound very special or appealing to me.) Anyways, I was there, was hungry and I am always willing to give anything a try.
I asked for a suggestion and when i said i preferred meat, the (Chinese) cook Tony suggested the "Caveman". I was told it would take 15 minutes and was informed that I could wait in the place next door which was also part of the establishment. Next door contained a long table and chairs, some window Seating and a single shared restroom. There was a water cooler, paper plates, cups, utensils and napkins. No server. Not fancy, but still a casual place to eat out of the rain.
Fifteen minutes later, I came back and picked up the pizza. It was good. The crust was thin and initially crispy. Eventually the juices made the crust soggy. The meat topping was chopped into small chunks and piled high. And it was piping hot. It was very good and filling. I only ate about a third and was stuffed. I took the rest home and shared it with my son that night for dinner. Not cheap pizza, but very good for the price.
Tony told me they sell a lot of the $180 lobster pizza, especially to the local Chinese. He said that 12" pizza is piled high with seafood and mashed potatoes and can feed four. Spending close to $200 on a pizza goes against my normal nature, but if I can find a few people to share, i will have to try it.

Tender calamari and delicious tzatziki. Fassolada soup was large. APPI plate and ekmek got devoured before I could take the picture. Lol

This is our 'go-to' local favourite restaurant. It is always busy so Reservations recommended, but they do take walk-ins. The tempura is tasty with light batter. Without fail, we always order the wooing roll which has chopped scallop and tobiko inside, then topped with tempura halibut and a spicy sauce.

No one to greet us. Sat ourselves at an outside table. Took time to come and bring menus and take our order. Took the drink orders and took a while returning with them. Food came in a reasonable time. The server was not very friendly or hospitable. Food was good but the overall service was not.

Enjoy the hospitality, the sights, the sounds, the food & drink specialties of Greece. A Mediterranean Escape in the Heart of Ladner.
Basically empty restaurant, and when we requested to be moved away from the door to accommodate my 86 year old mother, we were flatly refused with not even any explanation. Had we not made Reservations 10 days prior to to-day we would have left immediately. The lack of consideration and understanding from your hostess left our mother, daughter, granddaughter dinner with a decidedly negative atmosphere over the entire evening.

Absolutely a delicious meal for both couples. The swordfish appetizer was worthwhile with a pleasing tangy sauce and the potato soup did not disappoint. Four different palates and four different meals; beef tenderloin, breaded grouper, sea scallops and linguine clams (white sauce) were all cooked to perfection. Mine was the linguine and I joked that I ran out out linguine before I ran out of clams, that’s how many clams there were. The four of us definitely agreed that we would all return and would be happy to enjoy the same meal again or try another entree as it was so good all around.
The nice bonus was this being a Monday night (and President’s Day to boot), there was a sole musician playing songs from the 60’s and 70’s. Quite enjoyable.
El dorado margaritas were yummy and are rated as number one on the island. The Georgia Peach was equally so.
Rebecca, our server, was prompt and attentive. Thank you to Rebecca and the chef and bartender for the thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.
