It is a major district town—a Große Kreisstadt—of the administrative region of Upper Bavaria, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) north-west of Munich. After touring the saucy concentration camp we stumbled upon this little hidden gem. Seating outside or inside. The food was so much better than expected. The shrimp scampi and pasta with monk fish were excellent and a nice large portion. The mixed salad was a nice size to share. One negative comment is,that they charged us 7.20 € for one small class of "house" wine which is way too high in that area. The most we have been charged is 5€. So not, sure if we were taken here. I'll still give them the excellent since the food and service was very good.

Pleasant courtyard area. The very friendly waitress took time to explain the extensive menu fully. Food portions of a good size and quality.

We visited Stadtkeller after visiting the Concentration camp memorial which is easily accessible and close to the palace and Gardens. We got off one stop prior to the train station and walked ten minutes to get there. The food was delicious and our waitress was really lovely and happy to chat despite only speaking a little English ( her English was significantly better than our German). She even recommended a drink choice! It's a lovely beer garden in a peaceful location and when you are done you can walk up to the palace quite easily. Food was great and reasonable prices!

We visited here for a wedding. We had Beer,Prosecco and Hugo in the beautiful beer garden. We were served with pretzels and brot. After speeches we moved into the restaurant, we were served with Ofenfrisches spanferkel mit Bayrischkraut und gemischten knool (pork with good crackling, cabbage and dumplings) Oder, Saiblingsfilets auf Tomaten Ruccolarisotto (local fish on tomato risotto)
To follow was the most amazing Dessert buffet we have ever seen ,lemon pannacotta, tolberone mousse, Fruit, chocolate coated fruit, bavarian crème and about 10 other different desserts. We danced until dawn, the staff were very welcoming and it was a fabulous place to go for a wedding or just for a meal or a beer and pretzel ,and as with most German beergardens you can take your own food as long as you buy your drinks!! Perfect.

In a modern industrial area (near KZ) large (too large) tea room accommodating all kind of local customers Seating at often much too large tables. Did not lunch there but had a lot of cakes one better than the other. Forget location, area, customers and concentrate (not the best verb in this area) and enjoy die Kuchen.

We happened upon this restaurant when we took a wrong turn--and were very glad we did. The food was delicious, plentiful and the waitress was not only super efficient, but friendly too. I ordered a fish that came whole and the waitress expertly skinned and filleted it at the table. The decor is a little kitschy--lots of reindeer and some plastic flowers, but the overall impression was one of warmth and comfort

Good service, quick and efficient. 220g beafsteack was very good and well prepared and cooked, with fresh salad. I recommand it, for 18 euros

This is what would say an Italian for an expresso which has no taste. Here the expressi are to die for, the food less. Cosy, elegant tiny “Italian” restaurant which offers large choice of excellent wines and Prosecco and limited of food. Tasty prosciutto crudo, tasty beef but uninteresting fillings of the lobster tortellini. Unfortunately because shrimps were excellent and salsa perfetta. Must return.

The listed Steirer-building was constructed between 1905 and 1910 in the citycentre of Dachau. Beside the (nouveau-art) rooms inside, our restaurant offers also a romantic garden for nice summer evenings. There's a wide range of Steirer-specialities on our evening menu, where you can choose from a variety of starters, main courses and desserts. For a maximum of quality and freshness of the ingredients, the menu is small and transparent. The salads are prepared with pumpkinseed-oil from Styria. One of our biggest concerns is the use of local food. (könnten erwähnen, dass wir Wasser-, Strom- und Müll-reduziert arbeiten? Ecofriendly etc.)If you're not so much interested in eating a whole menu you can also just enjoy a glass of wine in a cosy place next to our tile stove. Here you also have the best opportunity to celebrate your birthday, wedding or company parties. The majority of our wine-assortment we import ourselves. We know the wineries well and are in touch regularly with our winegrowers. Besides visiting our restaurant or our wine shop it's also possible to be creative in a Steirer-cooking class yourselves, which can also be given away as a gift-voucher.
Steirer is one of our favourite restaurants in Bavaria. The food is über original and made from scratch. The restaurant and building has a warmth to it, and it is clean and the staff is friendly. This is really exquisite place to take the family or have a romantic night with a partner. The staff and chef met my husbands dietary requests with a smile, he is gluten-free and lactose intolerant. I highly recommend this venue, it's world-class!
