We were recommended Sutor Creek by our accommodation hosts. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the pizzas we ordered were really good. We couldn't finish them but were able to take them away for lunch the next day! The staff, especially the young man serving, were all very friendly. We'd highly recommend eating here.

Came here in March 17, returned November 17. If at all possible, it was even better.
Alistair, as a host , is fantastic. So knowledgeable about the area, the local produce , the beers and wines. Where possible, always has a good variety of Scottish ales, and spirits to try.
This is a small bistro, but has a big heart , and you should not miss out if you are in the area.
First class !!

Pub and B&B
Arrived quite late, but seems to be food all day. Standard pub fare menu, served with reasonable portions. Nothing too exciting, but no complaints really. Probably better value than some other places in village

Called in there before a short walk down to the harbour. We had very nice toasties and paninis, staff were efficient enough without appearing particularly friendly, I suspect they're employed for their looks rather than personality! This café only takes cash which we didn't find a problem (who needs to pay £7:80 on a credit card anyway?) and there's a small range of gifts

I saw the Tucker Inn from our cruise ship, and looking close to the ship we found very few pubs. This is a restaurant, not a typical Scottish pub, but any port in a storm. We had some very good ales. The staff was friendly, but they obviously catered to the restaurant clients. The food we saw being served looked very good and we wished we had the time to stay and have dinner.

We are a social Enterprise cafe run by Rosemarkie Amenities Association set in a nice green field right beside a sandy beach. We are a short walk from the nearest on street parking over a wee bridge. Great beach for rock-pooling, paddling and dolphin-spotting. Our young trainee staff learn to make simple food well: home-made soup, cheese toasties, hot drinks, salads. We have very naughty cakes and lovely ice-cream.

We are not the Ritz and we can't do much about the weather but we have a nice wee exhibition about the local area which is free, walks leaflets, maps and our staff are all local.

This year's profits will contribute to the replacement of our seaside tennis courts. Donations very welcome!

We are open until 3.30 daily until early November when we go down to Friday, Saturday and Sunday instead.

Come and see us soon!
What a gorgeous setting for a beach cafe! Tucked away at the edge of Rosemarkie beach is this lovely little find. It may not look anything special but it's defiantly a place I'd recommend for a nice lunch or coffee and cake...
We enjoyed some lovely moments here. Sitting outside watching the sea - looking for dolphins! A decent cup of coffee and extremely yummy paninis! All the food is freshly made - we also sampled some tasty homemade carrot and apple soup as well as iron bey sausages and homemade cakes!
The staff are very friendly which added to the lovely atmosphere.
Cant wait to return!

Non-residents are always welcome. Food served every day from 12:00 - 9:00 pm in our Turret Bar or for a more formal, fine dining experience in The Alexander Restaurant.

we were driving back from the East Coast looking for somewhere to eat and stopped here as the sun came out and we fancied a walk along the beach. We had a table outside with beautiful views. We had to wait half an hour for the kitchen to open which was no hardship (5.30 opening). It was well worth it. We had chicken stuffed with haggis (with veg and chive mashed potato, £14) and it was absolutely perfect. Friendly staff and the hotel is also lovely inside. We spent a lovely few hours and will be back next time, thank you.

We decided to eat here after finding our first choice closed. The prices for some items are over-priced . 1 soup, three ham & cheese 'sandwiches' (actually one thick slice of bread with a slice of ham on it and some cheese with a little salad) and four coffees came to over £35. Apart from a hot Sandwich and the soup there was no hot food on the menu.

Bright friendly cafe in Fortrose to suit all age groups. We have a fully kitted out disabled toilet. The cafe is wheelchair friendly. For the kiddywinkles we have a selection of toys to keep them amused, leaving mums and dads peace to enjoy the fabulous freshly ground coffee, range of teas and food on offer. Our menu includes breakfasts, snacks, lunches, selection of cakes. There are gluten free and dairy free options and hot pies. Sit in and takeaway. Outside catering also available. Venue can be used in the evening for private functions. Although we don't have a licence we do allow customers to bring their own bottle if at a private function and only if we are providing the catering. We provide outside catering for meetings, training days, funersls etc
Friendly staff, good choice of food. We had chicken Caesar wrap and omelette- both tasty and well cooked. The accompanying salad and fries were also good. There was a good choice of homemade cakes and there seemed to be a wide selection of vegetarian /...MoreThank you so much for taking the time to review us. Im glad you enjoyed your experience with us. Kind regards Janet x (owner)
