Ee-usk is a modern glass building sitting right by the water in the busy harbour of Oban.We believe in serving impeccably fresh local seafood cooked simply. We are unable to accommodate children under 12 years of age for dinner.
This place is on the pier at Oban. It's modern and thankfully tartan-free. It's a seafood restaurant which sauces all its produce locally. My wife and I opted for the lobster, which was absolutely sublime: beautifully cooked and soft. My mate had one of the fish (can't remember which), and he said it too was delicious. We washed it down with a nice chilled bottle of Verdejo. Service was very efficient and friendly, particularly from Ola. Excellent restaurant!

Set in idyllic Oban on the North West coast of Scotland, Waterfront Restaurant offers sumptuously fresh fish and seafood in a cutesy boathouse-style setting. Whilst enjoying stunning views over Oban Bay, guests can sample fine local catches, delicious fish classics and an impressive world wine list.
We have been here before and really excited to return, had oysters in cream and Parmesan which are 5 stars delicious....then fish and chips. It is hard to find a place that deserves 5 stars but this does .........can’t wait to return brilliant restaurant recommebt this to any one in Oban.

We could write a good review every time we visit, probably weekly. It makes the weekly food shopping tolerable whether we lunch before or after. This Thursday lunch was as enjoyable as ever. For me, Richard's Cullen Skink cannot be surpassed and then followed up by mussels to die for. Good healthy eating with a glass of good red wine. You gourmet eaters might not approve but it's red for me! My wife had the Haddock and Chips. A generous portion, I'm glad to say, as I was rewarded with the last bit of fish that madam couldn't finish. As we've mentioned before the staff are so well trained and Nicola has a midas touch when picking staff. We should mention that Nicola is pretty good herself as front of house. It's a must visit if in Oban.

Seafood Restaurant And Take-away Offering A Wide Variety Of Local Sustainable Fish And Shellfish As Well As Traditional Meals.
There are a lot of fish and chips in Oban but the Oban Fish and Chip Shop is the best. We had their basic haddock and chips plate along with a pot of mussels as an appetizer. The food was very fresh, speedily prepared, and excellent to eat! .

We stayed at the Ranald Hotel which is next door to the Lorne bar so popped in for a drink on the both nights we stayed. Great wee boozer with friendly staff, lovely locals and reasonably priced drinks.

Delicious Award Winning Fish and Chips cooked to order in vegetable oil , plus many other items ranging from black pudding, haggis, sausages, chicken nuggets, scampi, plus many other specials. Open March until end October- Wednesday to Saturday 4.30pm-8.30pm
We ordered takeaway fish and chips whilst staying on site and despite there only being one other person waiting for food, we had to wait 15 minutes for ours. It does say on a notice though that everything is cooked fresh to order, and the food is of excellent quality. Very handy having a place like this on a camp site!

Julie's is located opposite the Oban Distillery, and is the best coffee shop in town. I don't understand how it has been omitted from the iPad app. listings.
Was cold and wet - and the home made soup and crusty bread hit just the right spot. Only maybe 10 tables inside and four out, but regular traffic , rarely a wait - but their home cooking meals and cakes are superb,

I would really appreciate it if the owner would confirm when his Seafood hut is open! Also Tripadvisor could make sure it’s open too instead of guessing! We travelled here in November it was closed then also today its still closed! We enquired around only to be told he’s closed for the whole of winter! We made a 10 hour round trip to come and eat here, so please be more specific on opening times! We have eaten here before and the food is fantastic!!!!

We're in that weird generation that nobody can name. As such, we watch Vice. Vice has a subset called Munchies. They do different travel vlogs related to food. They did one in Scotland - where they tried both of the "Best Fish and Chips" in Oban as purported by Rick Stein. We tried both restaurants to see who the real winner was.
Since I'm writing this review, it was obviously Nories. Aside from them being super nice and the restaurant being spotless if you sat in, their fish was far and away the best we had our time in Scotland, and definitely better than their competition!
The batter is so crisp and it's well seasoned. Fried to perfection, flaky fish (we had haddock) on a bed of thick cut chips that are wonderful with some salt and malt vinegar.
After we went down the street to try those who shall not be named, we wished we'd just eaten 2 portions at Nories.
Come one, come all, to the undisputed winner of best fish and chips in Oban!
