Cieszyn [ˈt͡ɕɛʂɨn] ( listen) (Czech: Těšín, German: Teschen, Yiddish: טעשין, Teschin, Latin: Tessin) is a border-town in southern Poland on the east bank of the Olza River, and the administrative seat of Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship. The town has about 36,100 inhabitants (as of 2013), and lies opposite Český Těšín in the Czech Republic's Karviná District, Moravian-Silesian Region. Both towns belonged to the historical region of Austrian Silesia and are the historical capital of the region of Cieszyn/Těšín Silesia.

Interior of the restaurant is very modern and cosy. Staff is very professional and food is quite good. I ordered big size pizza for two persons and it was really so huge we can not finish it. As pizza is large, its dought is little bit wet inside so it is much more an american deep pan style, not italian (crispy). But I enjoyed anyway.

Great restaurant with delicious traditional Czech cuisine food and even better Czech wine and beer! We loved it and will definitely come back to this place on the next visit! Cheese dishes were amazing, knedle and onion soup..big selection and good waitress recommendation...totally worth a visit!

Went there to catch up with a friend. We did not order any food, we were exploring their liquors' card. Prices are average, selection of beers and whiskey as well. If you expect to have a nice whiskey and a cigar, you can forget that place. Most of the visitors were young people, but it was pleasant and quiet, easy to talk.

A few kms from the town centre but worth to go the extra mile. Nice decor inside and because of it's hilly location can enjoy some good views. Great menu which will satisfy most tastes and cravings. I can seriously recommend each dish they have. Good service too.

Imagine a place where a paint of a good fresh beer cost you one pound.
Imagine they also serve a really decent (well, not very healthy, but pretty tasty) food. And the food price is just really, really good.
Imagine it's in a beautiful lovely town, next to a river, parks, historical buildings. And everything looks lovely and the prices are soooooo low.
And then you want to order something and suddenly it starts being much less lovely.
So, first of all the waitress is not going to help you with anything. She is busy, so you have to wait. You don't understand? If you try to get her attention, she will just ignore you. If you try to rush her, she will tell you she is busy.if you try again, she will tell you off.
If you try to order something that takes time, she will tell you off too.
The same if you want to order something more in the meantime.
You are in rush? Your problem. You don't understand something from the menu? Your problem. You want to discuss anything? You are in trouble.
When was the last time the waitress was rude to you and screamed at you in the middle of the restaurant? You don't remember? Well, come here. There is a really good chance you will have this experience. Unless you just leave and go somewhere else, which I strongly recommend.

It's hard to imagine a small town like Cieszyn offering much in the way of sophistication, but it's actually full of hidden gems. Some, such as the Cafe Muzeum, are not so well hidden, but are certainly gems. We love to enjoy a coffee and cake within the walls of the beautiful museum walls. The cafe itself occupies a beautiful circular room within a once great house of Cieszyn. The architecture is typical - with its high, arched ceilings and large windows - and it always feels a treat to enjoy a coffee and cake within these walls.
