Had well catered and serviced pre wedding buffet here. Great ambiance, food and wines. Service very good and quick. Selection of Buffett suited everyone, vegetarians and meat eaters were all happy. A few of us (12) visited again 2 days later, impromptu and were quickly seated and served with a very good meal. Recommend the black sausage and chorizo/fried eggs/pepper platter.

We had a good meal consisting of local dishes. There was one problem though. My plate of Jamon Iberico de Belota (JIdB) contained Jamon alright, but not JIdB. I can tell JIdB on a blind tasting, and it was not that but some cheaper version of jamon - could have been jamon serrano or something similar.
When the bill came it said JIdB. So there was no possibility of an error. They didn't even bother to enquire why the plate was left unconsumed. I wonder what motivated them, perhaps they thought that a gringo wouldn't be able to tell the difference?
I would still recommend the restaurant, only stay away from the Jamon.

We had a very pleasant evening in the courtyard restaurant (bookings required in summer season though it did not look entirely full to us (there is also an interior restaurant little patronized in the evenings in summer and a smallish cafeteria/bar which seemed noisy) starting our dinner in daylight and finishing in the dark with lighting exploiting the potential of the location.
My wife had pulpe a la parilla (octopus to me, not a fan as it happens) which she pronounced exceptionally good and I had suckling pig (cochinillo confitada y Asado) which was beautifully cooked, very tender and with crackling which melted in the mouth. Our starters were good, but unmemorable (except that one was served with something which was indicated as trumble on the menu and had consistency like crumble, in this case with some finely chopped chorizo mixed in). The wine list was adequate and we had one of the less expensive (Senoro de Morate) which was however a good choice at 23E
Staff were polite and efficient rather than friendly or helpful, but we put that down to shyness as their English seemed to be only slightly better than our Spanish. Overall a very pleasant evening and we would happily return. Total cost without the wine 85E for two - not cheap, but we felt it good value for money.

We were here in March, place had only one table occupied. Waiter look liked "I wanna go home" and served also that way, being polite though. Restaurant has nice outside Terrace, so this must be really nice place when summer and sun is available.
We had steak and lamb, which were ok.

A different Restaurant in Chinchon. Family bussiness opened in 2002.Traditional dishes and recipes; located in main square.
We visited this restaurant on the Sunday evening before Spanish children began school the following day, and it was empty! We were alarmed. The large empty dining room did not look inviting, but we were instead taken to a table on the balcony overlooking the Central Plaza of Chinchón - a wonderful view, and worth a visit in itself!! The service we received was attentive, informed and very professional; the food was a delight - excellently prepared and served. This is most definitely not a tourist trap but a restaurant that values quality, and we strongly recommend it.

Grill-Restaurant. An emblematic place with traditional Spanish cuisine and our specialty, roasted in a wood oven.We have special menus for weddings, business lunches, celebrations ...A place to enjoy the pleasure of a good meal is linked with a particular environment. An irresistible combination to offer anyone who wants to know. We wait.
We sat on the balcony which was a bit narrow bit had the advantage of overlooking the plaza.
The service was friendly and the food good though the portions were rather large.
Try the roast suckling pig with its crunchy skin and delicate meat.
Inside it is we decorated in ancient word.

Chinchon is a pretty and unspoilt authentic spanish village set in the hills about an hour from Madrid. Most tourists end up here for a quick wander through the town and a meal (lunch or dinner) at one of the restaurants surrounding the main square (which also doubles as a bull-ring during the season - so be aware). However, I suggest you hunt out the Cuevas del Vino for a typical Spanish experience. The evening tapas menu is served briskly, with a variety of typical dishes, starting with gazpacho, followed by calamari, hake goujons, deep-fried cheese balls, slow-cooked brisket and pastries, all washed down with as much red / white wine or beer as you can manage (€5 extra). The restaurant is situated in an old bodega, with authentic old fire and cooking pots/implements, and you sit surrounded by huge terracotta wine vats signed by the national and international rich and famous persons who have dined there in the past. Some people may feel the quality was not up to their standards, but for a fun evening out with colleagues, with ample food and wine in an authentic setting, it is hard to beat.

Typical Spanish house of the village turned into a restaurant- coffee shop. Very friendly atmosphere and home cooking with a cheap price.Típica casa de pueblo convertida en cafetería restaurante. Ambiente muy agradable y cocina casera con un toque de creatividad y muy buen precio.
We have visited this restaurant twice now, taking the shared menu de degustation on both occasions. The food is beautifully prepared and presented, and the shared menu ensures that you get a taste of everything. We had a very good Navarra rose to go with it and had no problems with the sizes of the portions. The restaurant is simply yet elegantly decorated, the service is extremely good, and the quality and imagination that goes into the food makes it well worth the journey from Madrid for lunch.

My wife and I chose this restaurant on trip advisor and we weren't disappointed. The place is charmful and well decorated, with friendly staff. There were two menu, of 15€ and 20€, with several options for both starters and seconds. For starters we had the setas guisadas (mushrooms) and migas al pastore, a sort of bread crumbs with bacon and eggs. The mushrooms were a bit flat, not very tasteful. The migas were good, although nothing too special. The real treat was the main course. We both had Rabo de Toro (bull's tail) and that was amazing. Dishes are well served, but the presentation is not great. They proud themselves for keeping the food homemade. For wine we had a local Madrid red 'joven' from Jesus del Nero. That wasn't such a great option. In Spain, for a good wine it appears you have to go for a Rioja or a Ribera. The final surprise was to learn that under the restaurant they have an old bodega, which is very curious to visit. Overall good experience and deserves a visit.
