Hi, I already reviewed this restaurant in Chiang Khan but it was spelt slightly different. Always happy to give an extra shout-out to a great restaurant. This place is on the river at right about Soi 12. There's a fairly big interior where you can sit, also a semi-outside area and then a line of tables facing the Mekong. Its pretty nice. And the food is great. the menu has lots of pictures and makes it very easy to choose. you really can't go wrong, I didn't and I ate a bunch here. some times with thai friends and sometimes alone. They're very accommodating and friendly, the owner even speaks quite good english. and, unlike one restaurant here in town, no gouging of farangs.
They're open all day pretty much, stop by here if you visit Chiang Khan.

I was very pleased with the coffee at this shop. We went here all 3 mornings because it was perfect brew. Even though our hotel had free coffee, this shop was a lot better. Pastries were also nice. Ice coffee was excellent.

We went to this restaurant at night but it was already closed by 7pm. The next day we went at 11am and only 2 tables were taken up. It was a bit difficult to place our orders as the waitress do not speak english. Then an elderly smiley face man came over and spoke in english " what would you like to eat ?" So we asked for the restaurants favorites and ended up ordering the "mok" steamed seafood with coconut and herbs wrapped in leaves like a little basket. Also ordered their popular pork cakes. We would love to order more but we were so full from breakfast already. The food in this Luk Phochana is very very tasty n delicious and authentic local thai. If you go to Chiang Khan you must plan for a lunch here. Very satisfying meal.

ChiangKhan is a small city along the Mekong river north of Loei. Its a Thai tourist destination. A lot of Thai come here for , mostly a weekend visit. There are only a few westeners that visit Chiang Khan. If you don' t like to eat every day rice etc for breakfast its difficult to find something else. Bullock is the only one we found were you can get an omelet or fried egg with toast. It opens at eleven in the morning. They serve also very tastefull salades and meat and fish dishes. If you like German or Belgium beers this is also you place. Weihenstephaner, Palaner, Leffe etc.

We two people ordered 4 burgers. Omg the burgers is just awesome! Plus the staff is so friendly and speaks good English. As you know most of the people in Chiang Khan cannot speak good English.
The mix fruit smoothies is also good (a bit too sweet to my personal feeling anyway)

Before the end of last year, I and my friend held a trip in Chiang Khan, Loei. We had a lot of perfect moments in there. We walked through the walking street of Chiang Khan which is crowded and full of street foods. By the way, I decided to find some cafe to relax myself and I finally found 'Baan Supichaya' the hotel which has a cafe at the ground floor.
The first thing that attracted me is the location, Being close to Mae-Khong river. I could see the river view from the cafe Terrace. Another is cakes. In that day, I ate 4 pieces of cakes which are 'Coconut cake' 'Brownie cheesecake' 'Raspberry cheesecake' and 'Tiramizu' and I can say truely that every pieces I ate are freaking delicious especially Raspberry cheesecake.
However, The price of these desserts are quite expensive, I spent more than 500 baht in that day. But when I looked at the special moment I got from these tasty dishes, it's worth for the money I spent. :)
