Fantastic beer pub and restaurant in the very heart of the Old City of Chernivtsi. Situated in the beginning of Olhy Kobylyans’koi Street, which is open to pedestrians only. In summer, an open air Terrace is established. Smoking and non-smoking halls. Very extensive menu with traditional Ukrainian dishes and selected international cuisine meals. Full bar. The food is exceptionally delicious and the portions are large enough. Not a place to eat out on budget. Has no web-site, but is often mentioned in the web:<br>http://www.catalog.molbuk.com/view.php?id=2923&page=6&cat=18&subcat=0&subsubcat=0 <br>http://mc.cv.ua/index.php?mcmd=shownews&newsid=1390 <br>http://www.city-tour.cv.ua/restoranu.htm Some photos are here http://bukovynaonline.com/kwinto-beer-pub-restaurant/ (all sites are in Ukrainian, so please, kindly use Google translate).
I have been here twice in the past few days. While the staff does not speak english, they are very accommodating. Since I need wifi for the translation app on my tablet I have made use of their free wifi twice now. Each time the waitress went out of her way to get it setup for me (password or signal issues). The second time she even moved us to a different table so the signal was better.
In another user's review there was a complaint that the smoker did not help the atmosphere here. Since that earlier review, this restaurant is now a no-smoking establishment. They do have a separate room where the smokers duck into for a quick smoke break and when folks come back from there I did not notice any residual smell even though we were sitting quite close to this other group.
For the second visit during the evening there was a three piece string group playing that was very nice to listen to while we were eating. The first time we were there during the afternoon and instead of the music, there was a big screen TV playing with music videos.
As far as the food, we have had their sizzling chicken dish over mashed potatoes twice now as well as a very good vegetarian soup. Both have been excellent. On the second visit my lady friend ordered a slice of wonderful cheesecake as well as an irish coffee. I tried the irish coffee and discovered it was quite strong so I guess if you are a drinker it was good (I am not much of a drinker).

Well, it Viennese style how it can be interpreted somewhere in the imperial backyard, which Chernivtsy practically is. And in this case it's very solid, respectable old-fashioned furniture and great atmosphere. If you order cake you get a huge peace of home-made delight, coffee choice is very diverse, stuff nice and polite.
Only the restroom was incredibly cold in winter.

Searching for something authentic, not only Ukrainian but also Bukovinian? Go here with no doubts!
Nice service, menu in English provided, but please consider overall low English level among food service staff in Ukraine - waiters could have difficulties in serving you in English.
Impressive interior, craft spirits and food (organic homemade cheese and ham). And overall mind-blowing cuisine - fantastic. Given $5 for breakfast and didn't want to eat anything more all day.
Tremendous! Hidden pearl of Chernivtsi

It is cozy and atmospheric. It brings you back to the time when the Austrian and Polish bourgeoisie ruled this land. The coffee and the strudel are great. If you have a time to stop by and it is not packed then go inside and hideaway from the main street.

We stayed at the AllureInn Hotel last November and really enjoyed their comfort, but had not tried the restaurant until this trip.
Stopping in for afternoon coffee, water, and dessert, we were quickly seated. The waiter promptly brought us menus and took our drink orders.
I ordered a Creme Brulee and she ordered a type of pudding cake. Both were fresh and well made.
The restaurant is elegant and clean. Staff was polite and spoke English as we expected from our prior hotel visit. We love the city, hotel, and restaurant and look forward to another trip.

Restaurant dirty and unpleasant odor. Pizza about 18 cm in diameter, made after my impression, with remains from other restaurants. No prices displayed that the bill is "by eye". If you have questions on the bill, the staff suddenly forget any language other than Ukrainian. Better go somewhere else.

We really enjoyed the food, although I'd say the sushi was a bit dry for out taste. The rice should normally be a little more moist.
Compared to sushi places in other countries (i.e. Romania, France), their prices are ridiculously low. However, if you just want something good to eat in Cernăuți - not necessarily sushi - this place is going to be on the expensive side.
Lastly, they could use new English menus, with the updated prices
Rather poor English skills from the staff, but enough to order the food and pay.

Nice location, interior and service. Could not pay with a card. Mushroom soup was a bit watery. Lavash dishes are tasty and substantial. Strudel with apples only, but good.

I was here with a conference and we had a delicious meal and the service was outstanding. It was comfortable, centrally located, and the bathrooms were even outstanding, but the highlight of the evening was the dance show spontaneously (for us) put one by the serving staff. It was great!!
