If You Want To Enjoy Home-made European Food 10 Steps From The Beach In A Relaxed And Chilled Ambiamce, Look No Further
If you are craving for some simple western food on your trip this is a good choice. Presided over by an enthusiastic Frenchman you have a good choice of juices and simple meals including burger and chips, difficult to get in India! In the evening they have a barbecue. They have a kind of coffee machine, better than nothing. No alcohol license.

We were so disappointed having read the reviews. The place was empty at sunset, with absolutely no vibe and no sense of any other customers arriving. We really didn't feel like staying to eat. Such a shame, since they seemed to be a lovely young couple running the place.

Found this restaurant on our first day, then visited for a lunch and a beer though out our stay. Lovely staff and visited by all the locals, beach side view so lovely eating lunch watching the waves. The menu has a great choice English, Indian, and Chinese. Could not fault this restaurant you just need to get the mind set you are in India and they are doing there best to what they can !!!

Total meals we had there were 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch & 1 dinner. All said, the meals were of good standard and flavourful. The fish briyani I had for a dinner was a little to oily, but the vegetable curry that came along with it, balanced the meal. Based on these few meals we had at this place, I would say that there should be more variety offered. The safest bet, is to order the seafood, but need to ask the waiter how they are cooked.....whether in curries, with sauces or just plain fried with batter.
The waiters are courteous and patient....but the atmospere and ambience of the restaurant is not jolly or bright.

Went to this place after Reading rave reviews. Was very disappointed.
My husband ordered butter prawns which were just fried in some kind of batter. The prawns were very small in size. I had an upset stomach so just ordered plain zeera-rice and a non spicy dal which was so spicy, I couldn't eat it.
Decor, ambiance very ordinary.
Waiters were nice and friendly. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. It was a multi-cuisine restaurant- price and portions were good.

Worst service we’ve recieved in a span of over 2 months in India, and that says a LOT. Just as an example, I ordered pancakes, which the staff and kitchen forgot. The personnel comes with the bill without asking and forgot to give us two of the ordered items. Said “pancakes” (two palm sized flats) comes after another 20 minutes and is severely overpriced, I complain to the server who laughes in my face, blames it on the kitchen and disappears mid sentence. Don’t go here.

Roast 'n' Fries @Beach Villa is simple eatery at the heart of Cherai Beach provide food cooking in front of the customers.
Right on the beach, eat while you watch the sunset, has a roof top Seating if you want or there are tables downstairs as well. The food was very good and the service was very good the waiters are very knowledgable, courteous and the wait is not long at all. Price is very reasonable, I would recommend this restuarant.

Give an Italian twist to your meal at Aromi Di Italia at Club Mahindra Cherai Beach, the first-of-its-kind Italian restaurant in Cherai. Savor the sweet, spicy and tangy flavors of Italy while enjoying the beautiful view of the Cherai Beach.
We had our dinner at this Italian restaurant and were floored by the excellent preparation and the presentation. the service was exclusive and we were made to feel real special. The food was sumptuous and the fish was too good. The hash brown potatoes in the shape of a pear was fabulous.

Exploring places near Cherai beach lead us to this restaurant which is a place I would recommend to all seafood lovers. The food we ordered included fish fry, prawn curry, ghee roast crab and fried mussels (absolutely loved the mussels). All the preparations were really delicious which made us come again the next day to try for more. The staff is really nice and they help you with the recommendations. The only little problem is since the food is extremely fresh it takes a little longer to get to the table. Overall it is a good place to try some Kerala special food.
